I was there, in London for the tour. It was just like that.

Great. The songs from this same show: "Way Down in the Hole" and "16 Shells From A 30.6" is very good too. Fire.

The trouble lght was the only lighting Tom used in the stage performance of Frank's Wild Years, and was immortalized in his Motion Picture concert Big Time, which included this perfromance.

Listening to Tom Waits is one of life's greatest joys - at least for me - I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that. I wish I could've seen him on tour. At nearly 76 years old I don't know that he'll play live again on a tour. Much of his early music reminds me of the old run-down area my where grandmother lived in Cleveland. Although it was a very rough neighborhood (there's even a Euclid Ave like in Christmas Card from a Hooker) being at her house, there was a huge amount of love in place of money, which was just fine. Maybe that positive association with that neighborhood is part of why I love him so much. Lyrically he is one of the great American songwriters and I don't think that contribution can be overstated.

I also love his performance in 'Temptation' and 'Way down in the hole'.

Tom Waits is a genius. I knew the guy who produced his first album, so I have been a fan since the beginning. I had several of his albums on vinyl and have several CDs now. Great poetry and so unique...that voice just takes it over the top.

I went to a Bunny rate concert in Spokane Washington in either the late 70s or early 1980s and the opening act was Tom wait. I had never heard of him and I was so impressed. But know if you've heard his album night hawks at the diner but my favorite song on there is better off without a wife. This is just so different

Tom makes me happy....big time is amazing one of my 3 favourite live films along with talking heads stop making sense and all that glitters is a mares nest by the even less well known Cardiacs

Tom Waits is a renaissance man I loved him and Iggy in Coffee and Cigarettes and De La Soul sampled one of his songs.
