The beautiful Sarah Sanguin Carter's Alicia Baker was so perfect of a story line for Smallville. It was so heartbreaking to see someone who was trapped in a life situation and be so misunderstood by others. Throughout the episodes, we saw how others viewed her. In the end, I loved how others had to view her through Clark's broken heart. After all, we don't always choose the ones we love...at times, it just happens. The flame of her candle only lasted for three episodes, although you could feel how much Smallville fans loved her tragic love story.

Love any Alicia episode such a great character and relationship

Would've liked to see Alicia fully reformed & working on living a normal life until Clark calls her up to join Oliver's merry band at the end of Justice.

Clark & Alicia chemistry was the best in Smallville

For me Alicia was the best fit for Clark and I will die on that hill. They had the absolute best chemistry and she was turning over a new leaf when all Clark’s friends basically got her killed by not trusting that she was reformed. What happened to her was so sad and you really felt that in Clark’s reaction to her death. It’s crazy that the very next episode they treated everything like nothing had happened. That’s the one thing I will never forgive smallville for even though I loved everything else.

I was so sad when they killed her off, she was truly 100% devoted to Clark and her telling Chloe was genius given how chloe ends up doing the same it was like they could both see Clarks to potential for the world before Clark did

People think Clark is a hero for saving lives or stopping bad guys, I think he's a hero for not making his eyes glow red and super-yelling "GET OOOUUUTT!!!" to the man c0ckblocking him and this absolute bombshell.

I wish Clark and Alicia had superbabies that could teleport everywhere.

One of my favorite scenes is when she outed Clark to Chloe as he was catching her runaway car. It would've been interesting to see where her character could've gone if she had lived. Also, I can't help but wonder what her counterpart in Ultraman's universe is like, or if she and Clark Luthor are even a couple. 😎👍

Alicia was for Clark like Patty Spivot was for Barry Allen in the Flash. Their chemistry was off the chart that they have to kill her off. Although Patty only moved away after finding out Barry is the Flash.

I always wished Alicia would Teleport in from another universe and be part of the main cast.

While I was ultimately Clois, Alicia Baker made me change my mind. She and Clark were so good together. Not only was she sweet and hawt, but she could TELEPORT!

They made Alicia so damn creepy... and then a psychopath... and then the next two times we see her, Clark forgives her so quickly, lol. Like Alicia straight up tried to kill Lana and then she spilled Clark's secret to Chloe.

Alicia was by far the biggest crush I had while watching this show. Part of it is the crazy. lol

Poor Tom Welling. What a rough day of work. Spot-on DM reference by Michael. FWIW, Depeche Mode is one of the best live concerts one can attend. Even if you don't love their music, their shows are fantastic. Brilliant casting. It couldn't have been easy to find someone as stunningly attractive but, also, completely opposite to Kristin Kreuk's vibe but they absolutely nailed it. Because they found Sarah Carter, it made it easier for those that loved Lana and loved Clark's goody goody nature to "get it" because Alicia was as attractive as Lana. But, she was into Clark. If Sarah weren't on par with Kristin in terms of being ridiculously attractive, the story would not have worked, regardless of how well the juxtaposition of the characters were written.

I wish they could have made Alicia more of a supporting character in Season 4 to help develop her character some more than just in the two episodes she appeared in, especially in making amends to both Clark and Lana. Clark forgives her too quickly and I wish we could have gotten to see her earn his trust and also Lana's forgiveness before she was written off the show for good. As for how Alicia could have been written off, it would have been better if she came to realize that her relationship with Clark wouldn't work out, instead making the decision to break things off with him and leaving Smallville to begin a new life near the end of the season, wishing to work on herself going forward. To just have her be killed off doesn't feel right for the character, especially someone who was just beginning to make her own journey.

Something about the Alicia Baker episodes. Sarah Carter did Alicia so well that I really felt the loss. And I'm no stranger to feeling real loss. There was also an apparent bigotry by Jon and Martha towards meteor infected people. I think the writers put it in but didn't intend for it to look the way it did. Having Alicia die by hanging was not good. And it bothered me that for the rest of the series Alicia was basically forgotten. she was retconned out of the scene where Chloe saw Clark lift a car. Always wonder if the showrunners hated Sarah Carter and took it out on Alicia by ignoring her. I never rewatch those episodes unless I'm ready to watch something sad. I don't treat them like the other episodes.

In Alica's defense, I don't think she was truly psychotic at all. The condition is literally defined as "a severe mental state in which thought and emotions are so affected that contact is lost with external reality". When we first met Alicia in Season 3, she was both lonely and withdrawn, desperate to be loved and accepted...but people were turned off by her powers because they couldn't understand them. When Clark used his abilities to save her life, she saw him as the kind of savior she'd spent her whole life aching for. But Clark's choice to pursue Lana instead of her, triggered an intense jealousy in Alicia, and it was her emotional desperation that drove her to attempt murder. She wasn't an inherently evil character like Darkseid, Doomsday, or the mirror version of Lionel Luthor - Alicia just wanted to be loved. She knew in her Season 4 appearances that approaching Clark directly would only drive him away further, so she used Red Kryptonite to manipulate him into a Vegas wedding. But at the last moment, Alicia decided she wanted the real Clark, not an illusion. And later, thanks to the hatred of fellow metahuman Tim Westcott, Alicia is murdered before she could finally gain the forgiveness and acceptance she wanted all her life. Sarah Carter played that role with so many dimensions - she could've come off as so cheap and one-dimensional. But both Sarah and the writers made her more than that, and I personally think her few episodes are among the show's best.

Say what you will about Alicia, but you can't deny that amazing chemistry! Sarah Carter was hot as hell, and she brought more fire than we ever really got from Kristen/Lana. Erica Durance/Lois had some amazing chemistry too, but Alicia's was through the roof right from the start. I actually think that's why they had to kill the character off... it really made the Clark/Lana relationship look terrible and stale in comparison to the animal magnetism coming through the screen with Clark/Alicia!
