@Lincoln Nazarchuk never said that ALL of his hits are clean, but Wilson is no where near as dirty or mean spirited or talentless as certain fans (you can guess who) whine to death about. He’s a great hockey player that’s far more than just a good checker and he’s a great guy off the ice. He likes to make things happen, he’s not solely out there to ruin guys careers and some here would have you believe.

to be fair, Matt Cooke, Bryan Marchment, Chris Pronger etc all got away with a lot, thing is the game was much rougher then- now there are only a handful of true heavyweight fighters/shit disturbers left. Wilson is just a headhunter, and while 20 yrs ago most of his hits would be fine, the game has changed- we know how devastating headshots are. the game is much faster. Wilson hits guys at twice the speed Scott Stevens ever did. If they dont reign in Wilson soon. either he ends someones career or we get another Bertuzzi/Moore scenario- which the NHL should be trying to avoid after all the money that cost them, yet they seem to be encouraging these plays.

After his large suspension he largely cleaned up his act. Eventually he wasn't considered a repeat offender under the CBA, although his history does factor in. Now since he's been out for so long, it's unlikely he's going to be throwing freight train hits for a while.
