Sure Justin kept resetting him and made it harder but Tony has so many levels to his game and he clearly had no other plan in that fight than to just stand a bang for all 5 rds against one of the best boxers in the division.

@Rukh Maybe because he doesn't want to open himself up like most people do on the podcast. He has this persona that comes off as kind of crazy and unpredictable and mysterious. I think it works to his advantage against opponents in the buildup to the fights. If people start thinking he's this swell guy then they may not fear him as much. You don't want your your opponent to have insight to your mental strengths and weaknesses. He may go on the podcast after he retires. But what do I know? I'm just guessing here.

I'm a fan of him, Khabib, and Gaethje. I could tell that double weight cut had a huge effect on him even if he denies it, plus training for a guy that wrestles for 25 minutes only to get a short time notice for a brawler who has a tons of power and fresher than him who had to cut weight twice

Some say, that's what Tony does. He gets tagged, but he's crazy and keeps coming. Well, Lando nearly finished him, Cerrone put good hands on him, and Justin beat him down, badly. I was hoping for ref to stop the beating. I am in now way saying he's done or not a beast in the game. I'm saying, his best is behind him. Go look at his win/losses and his best fights were over past 5 years, in reference to big name fighters. Before that, I don't see too many names worth mentioning. Michael Johnson best him in 2012. @Champion Person Reigns end. Fedor, Anderson, fight long enough and you eventually get beaten. 8 years is a long time but of course he didn't fight Khabib. Once a fighter gets brutalized for an extended period, frequently they are not the same fighter afterwards. Not giving the brain time to recover is also not wise IMO. UFC typically puts fighters with losses together, so at least one fighter gets the chance to right the ship. Let's be honest, Tony got picked apart by Gaethje. He is 36 now. If he is going to risk being brutalized (as he would be vs Khabib) there ought to be a lot of cash attached.
