It can cause damage but the thing is it’s not permanent and you can get rid of the headaches and eye strain by taking a 20 second break every 20 minutes by staring at an object 20 feet away plus just by going outside you get more blue light entering your eyes than staring at a computer, phone or tablet
Yo guys it actually is true i used to spend over 6-8 hours everyday and im diagnosed with myopia its not actually about the blue light or screen time its about the distance if your eye is focused on the phone for too long wich is close to u then u might develop myopia i would suggest u look away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes and go outside for walks to train your eye to see further also use low brightness and do the same if you are with a pc myopia cant be stopped but i belive it can be slowed so the progression isnt that high
@@overheroverthere3852 naah, just eyestrain, (burning sensation, red eyes, feels like you have sand in your eyes and so on...) to get rid of it you need to make a elongated pause once in a while and chill out, or enable blue light filter to ease it off. But i see good, i go to my ophthalmologist once a year and a half or so and he says it's all fine.
@Mary Baker I'm pretty shure that's due to physical force like if you get hit in the eye or rub your eyes too hard. I would consider visiting an ophthalmologist...
@@liounique1177 it’s not nonsense you see a lot of young kids nowdays with glasses, it never used to happen like that before, even if you look at older ppl today who never used tech in their younger days have better vision than the children. It does affect eyes, doesn’t make you blind but causes glasses
I don't think it's true, you might get blurry vision because your eyes are tired. After you have rest, your vision is back to normal, you just need to take a break.
I started wearing glasses about a year ago. It fucking sucks but I was an idiot for staying up at night. Recently I have the biggest feel my vision is actually getting worse. It’s not a little blurry and I used to be able to see a little farther and managed to read subtitles.
Screens do damage eyes.I've pages the price!idc if you think this im wrong but it's your loss! Nobody in my family has vision issues but me everyone thinks it's tech and it is! Doctor says my eyes will get worse and worse even if I stop trying with tech! If any surgery can fix my eyes. And I have to wear ugly glasses! DON'T SCREW YOURSELF UP LIKE ME! VISION PROBLEMS ARE THE WORSE! And some will argue: "but my eyes aren't bad and I always use screens" DON'T BE COCKY if you keep staring for long IT WILL SCREW YOU UP. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF. And no I'm not a parent so don't go calling me a boomer because I'm SERIOUS.
The argument that is most put forward to support that long exposure to devices may cause blindness is the exposure of blue light do you know what's been around with us humans for centuries and has more blue light exposure then phones the f****** sky yes the sky has more blue light exposure than any phone
Such a scam I got my phone when I was in 1st grade now im in 7th and I watched youtube 15 hours a day and it only does eye strain but when I sleep for like 20 minutes all my pain is gone
i have stared at screen 7 to 14 but i wear glasses then- vision is like 200 smth but i still dont think it is screen my glasses has protection that could slowly stop getting my vision deeper but i swear asia has hw and i never had a lot of light when i was doin hw so i think thats why. Also i play like 7 hrs to 5 but mostly 7 everyday- PLUS my cousin dose this to but they never wearied glasses and they actually stare at screen w light closed so im sure screens arent rlly gonna do anything but reading books in dark light can cause vision getting deeper
Lads DONT worry about being blind i have been looking at screens since I was a child now im 11 and I ain't blind but my father is worried and bought me this anti blinding glasses idk but if I get blind my the glasses MMMM it's Not phones fault
Decrease your screen time, get fasting blood work at your doctor and ask to be screened for vitamin deficiencies (namely vitamin d), take the appropriate vitamins, eat healthier, massage your eyes, that’s really the best you can do
i dont get head eyece but wen i wake up its not nice at all i am to usial to waking up at 6 or 7 i height schol but what ever my mom is going to get mad i i say it any way
Me, im 13 and I got my eye test recently and found out my right eye is getting worse and I know it’s because of screens but there’s nothing to do all day because my mom works ALL DAY and nobody ever does stuff and I live far from my friends
I’m honestly on my devices a lot because I don’t have much to do and my mom works like all day and my brother works or doesn’t do anything other then screens so I don’t have anything to do other then to be on screens
Oof I spend actually 17 almost 20 hours every day .. I hope I miss calculated my hours I spend on my iPad from 8am- 12pm 12pm-2pm 4pm- 2am Also in between those time I play my iPad For every single day for the past year
Bro same my average is 15 hours a day now with online classes and going out rarely I just spend most of my time in my phone watching yt or using ig . I wish I had a job so I could get some money and not spend this much time on my phone but I'm too young :-( also I hate wearing my glasses they make me look worse and the vision doesn't look a lot natural . I can't wait for my early 20s so I can have an eye surgery 🐧
sounds like bs, I've been a geek using the computer more than the average person since my teen years & I'm almost 40 now that includes many years of CRT monitors as well My eyes are perfect
It is dumb fiction. Headaches are caused by not blinking as much when looking at a screen. This is not going to blind you and has absolutely nothing to do with blue light. Our eyes can cope with the intensity of sunlight which has way more blue light content than any computer screen or artificial light source. When was the last time you got a headache by being outside on a sunny day? Edit: I really wish people would shut up about how "dangerous" blue light is - there is no scientific evidence proving any of this.
@@aarondynamics1311 I had to get glasses after 3-4 years of staring at my screen 9am-9pm. Sometimes I get headaches but I just rest my eyes for about 10 minutes. Do you think this cause is from my tablet? By the way, I'm 10. Lol.
@@D3SP41RR Staring at a tablet screen will probably have played a part. In my other comment, I said that the reason for headaches is blinking less than usual and that will not make you blind, which is mostly true. I can't imagine it is terribly good for the eyes though as blinking cleans the eyes and keeps them moist, which is important as if the surface of the eye is too dry, it could damage it. (I am not an expert, so forgive me if I have got some of this wrong). You're need for glasses might also be related to genetics (if both your parents wear glasses, you most likely will need glasses at some point as well)
