Just starting out in 4K? Here are my recommendations for which 4K discs you should begin with!

Couldn’t agree more with you, 2001 is definitely my pick from this list. It’s literally mesmerizing. Would’ve included Blade Runner 2049 as well, incredible!

How to train your dragon hidden world is a personal favorite. all 3 look amazing in 4k but the 3rd one goes above and beyond.

My top 10 for overall 4K picture and sound quality would be: (included more than 10) 1. The Dark Knight Trilogy (3 movies I know) In 4K IMAX scenes, and HDR enhances it beyond any other way I've seen ibefore. 4. Mission Impossible Fallout 5. The Greatest Showman 6. Inception/ The Prestige/Interstellar. Not the best 4K clarity for the first two movies but it is a big upgrade over the blu-rays and I enjoy watching these movies. 9. Blade Runner 2049 10. Aquaman - not true 4k but sure looks like it with IMAX and a high quality video transfer 12. Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2. Compare it to the movie on Netflix streaming and it is a outstanding upgrade. Amazing HDR visual and sound quality

My list would be: Blade Runner 2049, Sicario, Alien, Godzilla king of monsters, Blackhawk down, John Wick 3, The Matrix, The Shallows, Aquaman, A Quiet place and 13 hours.

just found your channel and going back over your videos, great stuff. I'm new to 4k and collecting, how can you tell if it is upscaling vs actual 4k, does the packaging say so?

Excellent recommendations. May I also suggest the following demo worthy releases: Passengers and Saban’s Power Rangers. Both offer some of the best 4K visuals I’ve ever seen playing on my Oppo UDP-203 and LG 65” EX7. Also, if you really want to showcase your 4K tv, the nature documentaries, Planet Earth and Blue Planet are breathtaking. Honorable mentions go to Blade Runner, Blade Runner 2049, and Sicario.

Nice top10 👍 My recommendation would be Aquaman. I think it's absolutely stunning in 4K and especially those imax scenes that start around 25min mark

I really think Aquaman deserves to be on a best of PQ List! It was a close choice between that and overlord, I went with overlord more for an audio showcase.

Wow, I’m shocked no Aquaman. My go to disc for showing off my Oled. “Lucy” is another incredible looking 4k.

It should be in there but as I said trying to focus on some all around qualities. Trust me Aquaman is going to make the Top 10 PQ List of 2019.

IT 1/2 (Honorable Mentions Passengers, Kong, Fantastic Beasts 1/2, Alien, Prometheus, Blade Runner 90210,) there was only one film I would watch in your choice Greatest Showman.

"First Man is a little bit of a slow burn" ummm Yeah! A snail outruns this lighted wick. It takes one of the most interesting subjects of human history and presents itself in a more monotone put you to sleep presentation of watching golf on TV. I suppose audio might be ok with just a soundbar. If you have subs you enjoy you also need BEQ to overcome that 40Hz cliff it has in the soundtrack. If you can't tell I was a smidgen disappointed in this movie.
