I highly recommend New Retro Arcade (available on Steam). It's an 80s style virtual arcade that uses LibRetro to display ROMs on the actual in-game arcade cabinets. You can customise the arcade cabinets with your own art/emulators/roms, and also play a couple of physics based minigames (bowling and arcade basketball).
Ok, I'll give it cheats and radio. It's got great cheats (flying cars and jetpack are my favorite) and the music was top notch (still no straight outta Compton though). As for story, i personally didn't like it. Carl wasn't as engaging as other rockstar protagonists.
Thanks so much for saying that! This one in particular took a HUGE amount of time to put together, significantly more time playing the games then would usually go into a normal video as well. I think it took me almost two weeks to get all the footage for this!
One of my favorite video game arcades is in Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. You get to play an arcade machine that has you moving blocks around as a Pyro Jack. Not only is the game pretty fun and challenging with a lot to offer, but you get a REALLY awesome reward for beating it.
Yeah I was going to originally include Shenmue, but I honestly don't have hardcore experience with that game. I've only played the beginning section of it. I know there are actual arcades in those though as well!
***** I see. I think what helped me through my Shenmue experience was that I had bought a strategy guide to go with it, which made it easier and I was able to progress through. The arcade place isn't too hard to reach though.
There's a few arcades that I know of in the PNW. Dorky's in Tacoma, WA, Ground Kontrol in Portland, OR, and a new arcade in Bremerton, WA that I can't remember the name of atm
The largest arcade in America is the Galloping Ghost, $15 for unlimited plays on any cabinet in there. You will definitely get your moneys worth compared to if you spent quarters on every play.
I'm kind of surprised that LEGO Dimensions wasn't on this list as one of the level packs is Midway Arcade, in which you're goal is to clear out a haunted arcade by playing classic arcade games like Gauntlet and Rampage to name a few with several other arcade classics in various levels and Adventure Worlds.

Pac-Man World 2 had an arcade with like four different games. As you progressed through the game and collected more tokens, you unlocked new games to play. The original Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Attack and Pac-Mania. With that Pac-Man World Rally music playing during the countdown, I almost suspected it would be here!
Yakuza 5 has actual SEGA arcades in it. You can literally walk in and play a complete version of Virtua Fighter among a few others. Hell, the game itself has a bunch of ridiculously awesome mini-games, too. It's also free right now.
OK! Honorable mention time! In the Madagascar video game, in one level in a subway station there's an arcade game called WOBBLE BIRD AIR FORCE!!!!! You play as a bobblehead buzzard in a biplane shooting down Fokkers!
+The Satellite it was a joke. Kind of a reference to how lots of splatoon players see motion controls as the only way to play, even though both are effective.
Stephen Ahern I tried to use gyro. I just don't get the same satisfaction out of it as I did with any games that used gyro aiming on the 3DS. Not sure what it is.

No Jet Force Gemini, which I expected. It had an arcade game you could play that was required and based off of an existing required mini-game in the game, but would have been cool to see it get some love.
How in the hell did Call of Duty's Dead Ops Arcade or Playstation Home's Arcade not make this list? Playstation Home's Arcade literally had a library of PS1 and PS2 games to play on your PS3.
LEGO Dimensions Midway Arcade, and any of the Namco Museum PSOne titles (1-3 especially). Granted, the latter are technically "museums," but you still have to interact with coin-op machines to play the games.
You know, moving, real-life stuff took over for a good month or so making it hard work efficiently on videos at all. Been back to it for a couple weeks now though, hence this video!
I kinda liked how in "Sonic Generations", if you purchase a Genesis controller in the item shop, you can actually play the original "Sonic the Hedgehog" game on the Genesis you find in the hub world.
I think the DK one is above the Animal Crossing one due to the time when the games were released, along with the fact that the Animal Crossing one is one you have to make. Still, a few of them seem like they are in the wrong spot

I know this vids nearing its first birthday, but I think one of my favorite in game arcades is from Pacman World 2. All the titles are old Pacman games and you unlock more as you progress, but they are a ton of fun, including a Dr. Mario/Tetris type one that I probably put 15+ hours into just on its own.
The Yakuza series has some really good arcade games. Rumor has it that Yakuza 6 (currently Japan only) will have Virtua Fighter 5, a PS3 game, as a fully playable game. All of the Yakuza games have loads of mini games that are surprisingly, very fun. Nice Vid!
Don't compare RU-vid's to each other. PBG is PBG and SpaceHamster is SpaceHamster. There both great and deserve to be recognized by there own names and not a clone of each other.

I never heard of anarchy arcade and after seeing what you did I think it would make a good game hub having each room being about separate games or genres.
