Funny how Kel’Thuzad is the poster boy of the adventure set and isn’t even one of the top 10 cards. He isn’t even the only one. Nefarian and Rafaam are right there with him in the mini set mascot being outclassed by everything else department
Though Kel'Thuzad was used in Big Priest for a long time since it was really annoying to kill copies of him.. That was until better big minions outclassed him like the Colossus and Obsidian Statue
Good list. Though I'd rank mad scientist at least number 3. The sheer amount of classes that play this from its release, to this day, outclasses most on this list
Blizzard also took the Loatheb love a step further and recently made him a special Diamond card if you own all of Nax. Which is really cool as he is one of the better looking Diamond cards.
@@afernandez9579 sorry for late reply You must own all Nax cards. If you disenchanted any, remake them. It should be listed under collection achievements.
Good list! Just my opinion, I think Undertaker should be higher as you see all of the amazing DRs that came with this adventure. I also think Sludge belcher should’ve been mentioned as that was one of the best taunt minions of the time that saw a lot of play (also with an amazing DR) 😁
Honestly if you included Death's Bite you should have included Sludge Belcher, the card saw consistent play for so long, just a great anti aggro minion almost every control deck wanted to run, if I recall correctly it saw regular play until wild was introduced and the card rotated out
What about top 10 upon release? I imagine Loatheb still in 1. place. But as for the other 9 I'm thinking these are guaranteed spot: mad scientist, undertaker, haunted creeper, sludge belcher, death's bite And these probably fighting for the remaining spots: nerubian egg, spectral knight, zombie chow, echoing ooze, shade of naxxramas, dark cultist, webspinner & Kel'thuzad
I played in this era and whilst I know it's well known and not very interesting - Undertaker really was the first "broken" card we saw in Hearthstone and should be higher up. If not dealt with immediately it would either outright win the game, or could be removed slowly over multiple turns with damage spells that most decks relied on in that period to close out a game (i.e Soulfire, Frostbolt, Eviscerate)
Control warrior found some insane cards in this set. Sludge belcher was amazing. This and loatheb gave very insane turn 5 plays, which warrior lacked at the time
Loatheb is so far and beyond the best card and one of the ultimate staples tha the could be number 5 4 3 2 and 1 as no card of this set even gets close to him! Very good list though and quite on point.
