King's Rock should had get an honorable mention. Also Black Sludge is soo slept on bc it's just Leftovers but for Poison Pokemon. And if an opponent uses Trick, they'll get punished.
My most favourite held item is Eviolite becuz it can be used effectively on a lot of pokémons and it brings out the battle potentials of every un-evolved pokémons.
Another thing about life Orb damage cost is that for incredibly frail pokemon like Deoxys Attack and Shackpedo, losing 10% each turn ain't going to change the fact they would probably be Ohko from any halfway strong attack even at full. Not to mention it combos amazingly with two great abilities in sheer force and magic guard, simply because they negate its damage cost. Regular Darmanitan and Reuniclus are obvious examples here.
I feel that Mega Stones deserved a mention. They managed to turn previously lower-tier and even bottom-tier lifers into some of the most dangerous threats in the Meta Game for Gens 6 and 7. Loppuny, both Charizards, Kangaskhan, etc. became powerhouses in OU singles as well as doubles while a few like Mawile and Gengar were straight up banned to Ubers. Even the lower tiers had their Metas shaken up by the likes of Mega Pidgeot and Glalie.
They can't be knocked-off though - so are a Special sort of held item as they involve an Evolution. I think this list is more the standard battle utility items.
They're not 'trolls' lol, they're called Defenders. Much like attacks run the Life Orb (which is still so unfair and dumb almost free 30% boost), defenders need to mitigate and lessen the punishment so run Leftovers. But the Life Orb is damn broken always. 1/16 recovery (6.25%) vs 30% boost , lol.
I always liked how non damaging z-moves had effects and they only didn’t just do massive damage and did additional effects. It’s a generation gimmick im glad i gave a 2nd chance to
Ah, yes, held items...not only are some of them great for competitive, but also good for in-game usage. The Leftovers is an especially great item to be able to have on your team.
4:17 I had no idea Sneasel could learn Surf. And apparently it's been able to since it was introduced in gen 2, as well as Whirlpool since Heart Gold and Soul Silver. But why though? Sure, it's based on a weasel like Buizel is, but Buizel is an otter, which is a type of weasel. It has to be because on its yokai origins, right? My mind is blown right now.
0:39 It's like the Sturdy ability 2:53 Meaning the Pokemon that wears it has to have a moveset without status moves 8:00 Z moves are my second favorite battle gimmicks 15:40 Can you please show the top ten non legendary Pokemon videos of each 18 types once per week? I want to know all of them badly and I'll comment the honorable mentions. Scarlet and Violet is about to be released in a few months
Lando almost never runs Life orb. It’s good on setup sweepers to get the extra punch to 1 hit ko certain threat.Infernape & Lucario are perfect examples. Most of the Lando runs choice scarf or leftovers. Choice Scarf Doesn't surprise competitive players because they know which pokemon runs choice scarf & they would be careful for that. Like using a slower mon to revenge a fast mon For example using Lando to revenge cheaped weavile at that time you know he is running scarf so switch.
@@snapclub8751 It's not that common. Yache berry is just for surprising but it might not work as lando can still die to one Ice beam but weaker moves might turn the tables on them but It's not consistent as choice scarf on lando
Yes but you still don't actually _know_ until it hits you, that's the thing. Keeps you guessing. I thought a Lando-T was Scarfed, so I had to switch out my Quivered (bulky) Volcarona fearing the Stone Edge. Turns out it wasn't. A 5-0 win became a 3-0 win because I had to juggle some mon about. It's on my vids (gen 5 match.)
@@netweed09 considering Swellow can’t learn Drill Peck, isn’t in the same tier as Gengar and no longer uses Guts + Flame Orb as a standard set because Specs + Scrappy with Boom Burst is just that good, I’d say you’re the one who needs to do some research.
I love using the Choice Scarf for a scary-fast pivoter to hit for lots of damage, then switch to wall whatever move is most likely to be used. It's hilariously fun
I thought you were bored about the concept for z-move and mega evolution, but you gave z-move a limelight and placed it in the top 5. The other items that I like is choice scarf, weakness policy and focus band.
As someone who’s very unused to held items and more depends on overleveling to just muscle my way through, this is extremely helpful. Thank you so much for this! 😅
I don't know if you have done this yet, but was wondering if you can do a eevee best team going through all the evolutions. And you can start in any generation you want.
I just started using a stunky in BD, and realized how great stench really is. Getting a kings rock on it with bite will probably make every move a flinch move
Setup pokemon really like focus sash such as gyrados,cobalion,calyrex-shadow,gengar,alakazam,cloyster,polteagist,salamence,haxorus,infernape,hawlucha,zacian-hero and more so only number ten is imo underrating it
Lemme get this straight, Mystic: You've decided to not list every single Z-Crystal yet you rank all 3 choice items seperately despite them doing the exact same thing???? LoGiC, wHaT's ThAt????
Only they don’t do the exact same thing. They can also be affected by different abilities, status conditions and entry hazards (Band is affected by Intimidate and burns while Scarf deals with Sticky Web).
I hope the trade coil from Legends stays in all future games, as someone who doesn't have the option to trade with other the ability use trade evolution Pokemon finally is great and I hope to be able to keep doing so.
You could actually use two Z-Crystals, one being _________ium Z, and the other being Ultranecrozium Z. And your opponent wouldn't want to mess with an Ultra Necrozma.
Expert Belt, Life Orb, Leftovers, and Type-enhancing items are definitely useful. For type-specific Z-Crystals, I have 3 Pokémon along with one Legendary on each type. I basically just choose guys who fit the Z-Crystal’s type the best.
Just a nitpick about the outro. The rest was great but the song was very loud making it sorta hard to understand you. Sure it is the same thing you’ve always said, but just a heads up on that. Love the list and already knew what number 1 would be.
Pretty respectable list, though including z crystals but not mega stones and gems is a bit questionable. I personally would have choice band above specs due to the Pokémon that can use them, but your reasoning makes sense, especially when just comparing the two in a vacuum.
I like the Light Ball. It’s the only way you can get a Pokémon with the move Volt Tackle. In addition to powering up Pikachu’s electric attacks, breeding with a Pikachu holding a Light Ball will result in you getting a Pichu with Volt Tackle
You forgot to mention: The Life Orb can allow you to keep the boost active on Pokémon with the Ability, Magic Guard, while also NOT dropping that Pokémon's health, each time. Clefable, Alakazam, and more, can HEAVILY BENEFIT from that.
Video nine asking for a best team for Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness. It’s been requested so much that my phone has started auto filling it. Also a you never used this team and worst tram would be fun too.
This new boots item is good to protect pokemon such as charizard from stealth rock. I still don't like the choice items at all. Being limited to a single attack is problematic and that if its pp runs out I struggle instead of unlocking the other attacks to change my choice?
Top 10 n00btools basically. Apart from Leftovers as that is a defensive tech to mitigate the wear and tear of battle through entry Hazards, etc. Putting it @ no2 is ridiculous though lol, over stuff like Life Orb & HDB and spoils an otherwise very well constructive list. Shame really.
mr mysticumbreon ever persons is aware of the pokemon anime Americans aka English dub is A heavy edided version of the Japan dub footage with three stupid Moran A firebird1971 and A Jake and A Louise on his channel and that stupid firebird1971 he need to be terminated he was blaming Disney for ruining the pokemon anime when Japan is the problem
