Same here. I was a wiz at geometry and trig in school, but Algebra 2 was a fucking nightmare. I can figure out the best way to remove a countertop with only an axe and a rubber mallet and how to avoid or end up purposely making a fire tornado when using a propane blow torch, or even how to use geometry to teach the basics of swordsmanship to my kid niece, but algebra 2 kicked my fucking ass.
I remember having that green spider-scorpion bionicle set from, like 2005 and it had at least 2 of these, inika's just dropped the swing gear arms theme
1:35 They redesigned them in 2008. The fragileness of the 2007 lime joints was caused by an error during the production of the parts. 3:28 that is the Toa Metru hip piece 3:36 Almost every single Bionicle character is bio-mechanical. The only fully mechanical/robotic ones I can think of are the Exo-Toa, the Maxilos robots, The Bohrok(mostly as the Krana are organic), the "Fohrok"(not an official name) fake/replica Bohrok created by a group of Matoran crafters.(called the Nynrah Ghosts), The Baterra(robots made by the great beings who kill anyone who has a weapon and they are also kinda prototype Bohrok), and The Bohrok Va(I think) 3:50 Those gears are TECHNICally Technic pieces. The Piraka didn't use the Zamor spheres to defeat the Toa Nuva. Also they aren't as destructive as the Cordak Blasters are.(in story at least) 5:31 Then it sucks that it isn't actually a Bionicle piece. Also black pins are superior Number 2 is kinda fair.
You failed to mention that Zamor spheres have become the cornerstone of any mid to large size Lego launchers, appearing in Hero Factory and I think other sets. Also are compatible with Thornax launchers (and of course Midak Skyblasters). Insanely versatile and for sure the best Bionicle projectile.
Great list, but I just gotta say it: I'm amazed that one spearhead blade piece wasn't on here. Y'know, the one from Takanuva's staff, Makuta's staff, Vezon's Staff of Fusion, Dalu's swords, Nidhiki's...everything. Iconic Bionicle piece lets be real
This is top-notch quality entertainment :D nice jokes, attention to detail, and the Bionicle Heroes theme at the end - very sweet. Also, on the note of Bionicle sparking an interest in engineering - that's what I'm currently studying ;)
Sorry, but Fric. Element, Ball Ø 10.2 is the best Bionicle piece. Basically a must-have for a lot of custom torsos and limbs. And great for when you need to attach an armour shell to anything. It's a ball joint with an axle hole through it; so simple, yet full of possibilities.
Ah yes, the second you mentioned the zamor spheres I was flooded with vivid memories of that round plastic ball dancing dangerously close to my poor young windpipe
Surprisingly, I don't remember my Toa Hahli having broken joints- granted I did not like using the lime green joints that much since I had a ton of black and Grey pieces. And personally, my #1 piece is either Pohatus kicker things that you attach to his feet, or the Visorak frame. I say the frame for the Visorak is my favorite just because of how I can use it to help build Titans that I create. Highly underrated piece and I don't see nearly enough people ever make use of it.
The number 3 "humble-blue-pin-thing" was called a "half-and-half" in our house, because it was half T-pin and half O-pin. T and O being what we called those other pin pieces.
Holy fucc. I stoped caring about these in 2005, thats crazy they made more stuff affter the rakshi( however u spell it). This video was nice to get that bump of nostalgia
My fave piece is the one that fits perfectly into what I try to build. When I search through my unorganised Lego boxes to build stuff and find that piece, I’m like: hello! It’s me...
I’ll admit I still use my broken lime green parts for two reasons 1: to make damaged/withered looking characters. 2: hey if I can’t use them for ball socket joint I can still use them for axle parts
When I was younger I made an epic custom build with 4 arms and huge legs to support the heavy body, the colors where silver and blue. It looked so sick but I don't know where it went 😭 It also had a jetpack with wings
I feel personally attacked by your whole spiel for Number 6. But you ain't wrong lmao! I'm now an Mechanical Engineering major in college and I brought my Bionicle collection with me.
