My advice is buy two 2nd hand cars. That's what I'm going to do. Buy 2 used Toyota's. They're great cars. Also if worse comes to worst na masira, you have the other one for back up while broken one gets repaired.

Just like my old man said. Plus you don't have to apply for a car loan.

Toyota has dominance in the after market dept and great service depts too. Very Reliable though it's quite boring for some. Easy to maintain and not difficult to dress up. Honda comes pretty close.

My new Car loan from BPI was approved yesterday... hopefully I'll My Okavango Urban+ unit will ve release with in this month... Honestly kahit anong kulay nalng sana kaso SOLD OUT kasi d2 sa Cebu ang OKAVANGO... Well I Like Toyota but sometimes if the time and preference are right... I dare to take the Risk and Challenge... So far. Own it for 10 years at 10-12000 miles per year... 10 years and about 120,000 miles later, let me know. Brand new (or fairly new) cars are basically the same, but any veteran mechanic will tell you that not all brands age well.

For a beginner car buyer and assuming it will be your only car and youre on a budget, to recommend a fairly new chinese brand in the Philippines to a newbie buyer is just ill-advised. I'd always say the real and only legit car experts are the veteran mechanics, not car reviewers. Veteran mechanics have seen all brands and models to know their pros and cons, the strengths and weaknesses of every brand, they've seen it all and repaired them all. For a newbie, asking a veteran mechanic is always better than watching car reviews. Getting a fairly new car brand in the Philippines, with not much history is like getting the new Covid19 vaccines fresh off a one year clinical trial (which doctors advice against). Youre basically a test subject on a beta test. Considering costumers are paying upwards of half a Million, and not merely a couple of thousands, yeah Newbie car buyers should hold off on this brand. As for your "Maybe they aren't selling theirs because they like it" comment, unless theyre being repossessed by banks, no one would sell their new cars. Like i said, all new cars are basically the same, Its how they age that separates the toyotas and hondas from the Kia's and these chinese brands. Veteran mechanics know this, from the engine blocks to the piston rings, they know quality when they tear one down. Also, we do have bank car appraisers, and so far their appraisal for these chinese cars for trade in or resale are 💩. Now if youre getting a second or third car, and you have the finances to gamble 700k-1mil, then by all means, take a risk on the brand. Why not?
