This was a good video to watch; the characters included were interesting but well explained as to why they earned the spot on the list and it is most definitely clear that your editing skills have grown. Needless to say you made a really enjoyable video Omni. Also do not let people bring you down about liking (or in this case loving) Camilla as you have every right to and no one can or should take that away from you. Plus I do consider Camilla one of my favourite characters from Fire Emblem but the top spot at the moment for me would go to Xander for both character and unit usage. Sorry for the long comment.

Haar is a prepromote in Radiant Dawn. The Dragonmaster class is the promoted version of the Dragonknight. Also, the fact that everyone else who joins after Haar is a 2nd tier class could also be said for Pent (except for Nino) and Mathilda (except Delthea).

Also I wish you also talked about Priscilla in your Pent bit. Sure she won't have the tome mastery without some additional investment, but valkyries are pretty handy in horse emblem That and her staff rank it would have been interesting to hear how Pent matches up

Actually I got Stefan on my very first playthrough with Lethe exactly as you show here. Because previous Fire Emblem games had treasures hidden in the desert stages I had her move towards the corner there after beating a few guys, lo and behold I had Stefan on my team. I actually had no idea that you *had* to use a Laguz unit until I watched this.

One thing you missed about Camilla. She is a very good mother with unparalleled growth rates and awesome class and skills. Want a good Kana? Camilla. Want a decent fast, flying but still tanky Ignatius? Camilla. Want the debuff goddesses in form of Midori or Velouria? Camilla. She is basically a human version of the Action Replay

Ok, making this before I watch the video; I'll edit it after I'm done. But Jaffar was in the thumbnail, and while I love Jaffar a ton, one of the top ten prepromotes? No, no, and no. He is a delete button for any enemy, but so are most of your dudes in FE7 late game, and Jaffar is 6-Mov locked AND sword locked. He can't get anywhere, and he can't counter most enemies, since in the lategame a lot of em have 1-2 range. EDIT: So I'm starting to realize I got B8'ed, so well done! You have good taste in units, and you gave Sothe credit!!! THANK YOU!

As sacred stones was my first fe game and Seth was my first favorite characters, it makes me truly happy that Seth is considered the best character in the series to most.

I'd argue that Geneogly of the holy war and Thracia 776 will probably be remade at some point so new fans could experience those. I love those games but they do have age on them. Great video!

I'm curious, how do you make Camilla useful with magic? I mostly play Revelation of the three, granted, but I always found her growth too low for tomes to be useful and use her for her axes.

Seth is so powerful that he's powerlevel and utility is compared with absurd power houses like Sigurd and Robin... Which one of these three is the best unit overall is debatable; but they definitely incredible. Also; I like throwing Spirit Bombs at people; Thani is very fun :3 (BTW; the reason why Micaiah has this strangely low damage against soldiers is because for some reason any unit that isn't a bandit/fighter has a lot higher Res compared with similar units in other Fire Emblem Games... Playing RD can be painful if you aren't prepared; but I personally find it A LOT more fun that playing FE7, FE8 or FE9 that are cake walks.).

Even though you haven't played Fe4 I'd say that Briggid was a good pre-promote especially with her Weapon the Yewfelle.

Since a lot of the names of characters and weapons in FE are either scandinavian or german, i'm guessing Duessel is too "ue" can be used instead of the german "ü". If that is the case, you pronounced it pretty alright.

I actually have to agree on how amazing Pent is. I deployed him in Victory or Death as a filler unit, without any training beforehand or any investment. He still did most of the work. And Duessel! Ephraim route Duessel! He's really gonna carry you through that boat map more than anyone else.

Camilla really is only godlike in CQ, By the time you get her in RV, You should have taken advantage of the easy exp in thw early game

Hawkeye? one of the best pre-promotes as he starts with alot of HP, has high enough hit to not keep missing, can through water tiles and he's berserker that COMES WITH KILLER AXE!!!! SO PREPARE TO KILL ANYONE WITH THAT 50-60% CRIT! tbh in all of my Fe7 playthroughs I end up using him over pent. he much more fun to use and that crit animations is so satisfying

I think it was my 2nd playthrough of Raidiant dawn when I was a teenager that I learned haar is a god. I dumped all my bonus xp into him and basically was set. Not the best actual strategy, buuut, it was fun, and left me with some awesome memories of him.

I like how you consider 25% true hit to be so low that it's frustrating to get hit by that, when 25% isn't *that* low of a chance to get hit. It's not high by any means, but it's far from some strange anomaly.

Okay I know I'm late but is camilla really as good as he says because I can never use camilla because she never gets the growths I need and is replaced by child charecters and other royals, so if someone could tell me if shes just bad or I'm just unlucky.

My biggest problem with Camilla is that ridiculous outfit. "Oh, let me wear an armored leotard, which doesn't cover or protect the massive blood vessels in my THICC thighs, and oh, I know, let's negate the entire point of a breastplate by baring my massive... tracts of land, which I'm sure the enemy will drool over rather than, say, stab me there." Whoever thought of the outfits in Fates needs to be shot, tbph. They're hideous, the armors are inefficient for what they do, and apparently the designers are too arrogant to study real armors or consider how the armor they've designed would actually move.

Also astra is great mid game until enemies become bulky Duessel: biggest thing he does is tank the shit out of the boat map, those weapon ranks are god tier Titania/Marcus: not number 1 and “exp syphoning” they are guaranteed to be a top tier unit Cecilia doesn’t suck, she’s a fantastic utility unit Sothe: uhhhhhh you have Jill and she becomes a god for later parts have her get some kills Rip no Tanith or Niime

I never hated Prepromotes but never used them much with some exceptions until FE7 Hard Mode, Pent and Louise are the King and Queen of good Prepromotes. Plus Harken, Karel, Jaffar, Isadora and Hawkeye who made it so I didn't have to waste exp on training up other units.

Knife Jagen is now a term.

I get that old FEs are not enjoyed by many but there is literally no better prepromote than Sigurd.

I mean Quan is pretty good since he's good at covering whatever weak points Sigurd may have and once he gets Gae Bolg he can one shot any enemies he touches for the remaining chapter.

10:33 i'm sorry bench louise? her bases aren't all that i get it, but by doing that you're pratically putting pent at a disadvantage as he missess out on some atk and avoid making it him less reliable to be on the front lines and yes i know louise has be within 3 spaces but she gets buffs from the support making her actually pretty good at times as she has enough speed to double for the rest of the game and the atk bonus is great for her making her able to one round or bring some enemies down really low. i know you haven't played 1-5 but wtf no siggy or dagdar

I know this is very late but the funniest part about seth is that he is canonically held back by not being completly healed of the wound he took at the beginning of the game.

I got rather frustrated at this video, because it's a decent list...but it could be a really good video. In addition to the idea that FE vets consider Jeigans bad being a total strawman (as mentioned in comments below), my biggest issue is something common to all FE analysis videos: analysis of numbers and stats without context. All the time, I see discussions about bases and growths, but always in a vacuum, or in some vague sense like "oh this is enough speed to nuke everything". Speed values are very different through different games, for instance. FE7 has enemies with very low speed, for example, and infamously have a speed trough in the mid-game when they wield Steel weapons that drop their AS. This makes analysis of FE7 Marcus already very different from even FE6 Marcus, much less FE9 Titania, so I was very confused why they were paired together. I don't really have any issue with any of the prepromotes listed as being strong (other than maybe Duessel), but there is definitely a focus on raw combat over other important factors like MOV and utility. Some notable omissions I would highlight would be Cecilia, Niime and Yoder are all VERY strong prepromotes in FE6 due to staff utility and the game's Warp formula, etc. Notable omissions from FE7 would be Isadora and Vaida, who provide good base weapon levels, high mov and rescue utility. In FE9 I would probably argue Tanith is better than Stefan, providing flying utility, the unique Reinforce skill, and slightly worse but comparable combat. Finally I think Frederick's role in higher difficulties of FE13 is very very important.

Ryoma deserves to be higher. His access to Astra in his base class gives him a unique viability when mixed with his exclusive blade. I do agree with Camilla deserving being on the list. I do however think Xander deserves a spot as well. There are ways to fix his viability in Revelations which includes giving him an A+ rank with Ryoma to give Xander access to that astra sword slinging class.

I wonder if i should get Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or not? Maybe I'll get it after I finished DE. And I totally need to play Sacred Stones again. And Blazing Sword. But I also want to finish Pokemon Emerald.

My favorite one is Mathilda, she carried my ass whenever I made mistakes. I'll never forget my biggest mistake by thinking I'd be allowed to set up, but instead of her getting killed. She dodge and crit more times in that map than anyone else in the whole game. So my bias will forever be strong in her favor. Otherwise your list is solid and I accept not keen on Xander/Haar with reasons given. Though you did put Haar with tits in the list XD

Sothe at number 3? Yikes. I agree that he's basically the only way through part 1, but he's not even super broken against the enemy units.
