Thanks, Kent for the tip about spraying the spatula before turning or lifting food off the grill. I've been grilling for 25 years and never knew that. Keep up the great videos!
Thank you, as always, Kent, Shannon and Andy. Missed the dogs this time around! Also, a HUGE thank you to all the veterans and their families ... especially on this Memorial Day Weekend! May God bless you all.
Great video as always Cowboy Kent. I love that I can learn new things from your videos. My daughter is 12 and she absolutely loves your videos, especially the ones where you get so excited you dance about your food. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family.
Thanks for reminding me about pounding the chicken! I always forget unless I'm making stirfry.. Here's a quick cleaning trick for an hot grill when you don't have a wire brush: a loosely crumpled ball of tinfoil, holding with a pair of tongs!
Mr Rollins I want to thank you. I have been watching your videos for some time now, and I can say that you've taught me how to grill proper. I am very exited when I see one of your videos come up here. Thank you again.
Hello Cowboy Kent and Shannon hope y'all are doing well. Great grilling tips and tricks I learned some new ones thank you for sharing. Stay safe sending prayers 🙏 and God's blessings. Much love and big tx hugs from South Tx.
Good morning Kent, Shay, Beag and Duke. Hope ya'll's have a wonderful day. I love watching you Kent, I learn and enjoy something from each video. God Bless your household my friends. Stan
My dad knew how to do all this stuff. He was born in 1915. He served in WW2 as a bomber copilot /navigator on a 2-seater Martin B10 in Panama, guarding the Panama Canal from German ships and u-boats and Japanese ship (potentially) from Pacific theatre. Many people don't think about central America being a serious part of the war but in fact the Germans had naval forces in South America and they responded to u-boat and small vessels often. Some time later he decided to put his Army Air Corps jungle survival training to use. So he moved to the Smokey Mountains of East Tennessee ... at the time there was only one lodge just getting started on the top of one famous mountain near to what's now known as Gatlinburg. And the only way up was a hiking & horseback trail. Supply caravans took supplies up periodically in summertimes. He developed TB so he just survived in the wilderness for several years until he survived the TB. Eventually he met and married my mom and had 3 girls and was almost 50 when I was born. Every summer we spent a week in the mountains camping and cooking on camp. I still have my dad's USAAC machete. My dad would spend copious amounts of time camping and living in the mountains painting landscapes a photographing the mountains. He was born with raw natural art talent and sold the photos to news papers, and sold his paintings to tourists and local clients. Many local businesses and restaurants in Gatlinburg had his paintings hanging on their walls. He died before finishing a last painting from cancer in 1973. This is the anniversary of his passing.
We barbequed chicken breasts after tenderizing them with lemon. Best chicken I've ever had in my life. Every single one of these tips are going to make your food fabulous. It takes it from good to so amazing that the neighbors invite themselves over the second they see smoke from the grill. We wound up with eight people last night :) It's really important right now to take care of your friends and neighbors. Thank you Kent and Shannon. You're the best.
Always a joy to watch your videos. Because of you I switched over from charcoal biscuits to lump thank you heading out right for a chimney and another bag of lump and NO lighter fluid lol Be safe and thank you
Sorry Kent. I have been subscribed to your channel for a while now but never even realized that was you on chopped. I love that show I never did see the final episode before I just looled it up. Respect...
Hey Cowboy Kent. Yes it is grillin season. We don't have a fancy smoker, etc. But we love our big gas grill. Thanks for the tips to keep it clean & prepared for the next cook out. Never heard of the onion trick, but will try it as well. Love your channel. God Bless.
Loved this video! Can’t wait to try the wood chip trick with the gas grill! And also been loving the new book! (I can’t stop recommending the books and this RU-vid channel to friends and family!).
I tried your pork chop tip. I wrapped 4 in a foil pouch after I limed them up and seasoned them. I put a little beer and teriyaki in the pouch, put it over direct coals for about 5 minutes a side. I took them out of the pouch and got some real good grill marks on them while they basted in some barbecue. I put them back in the pouch to finish. These are the juiciest pork chops I have ever cooked. Thank you Cowboy, sir.
Hello. When I came to America back in -96 my now ex-husband used to grill but every single piece of food got completely burned on the outside and raw on the inside. He ALWAYS blamed the grill !! Those terrible foods were my first grilled foods I ate and I though how can people eat this stuff...boy it was Nasty !! Now I know better. It wasn't the grill it was the grill-er. We haven't got our grilling season started yet but it's so close. Our neighbors 2 houses away use that starter fluid and even the smell of it gags me. I like your tips. The lime, onion, thick pork chop. It's all good. Thanks Kent 👍👍
💌❤I am one of your followers from Saudi Arabia and we are on the last day of Ramadan and tomorrow is Eid Al-Fitr. 🥳 I wish you good health and a happy life ❤💌
We do the onion trick too on our grill. I've also placed lemon slices or uncut green onions on the grill then place fish on top to prevent sticking. ~Ryan & Chx
The best fire starter I've found is just a couple of pages of newspaper. Ball it up and soak it in cheap vegetable oil. Pile your lump charcoal on top. Works way faster than my chimney ever did.
The best wire brush for cleaning a grill is the kind that welders use. You can find them in the tool section of hardware stores. They do not shed bristles.
I figured "ahh. Just another top 10 tips for people who don't know how to cook" This is like....top 10 grill professional secrets! Awesome video as always Kent! Cheers from Branson, MO!
