Top 10 NASCAR Paint Schemes of 2021

The person who designed Alex Bowman's car was the man Dale Earnhardt Jr. Himself. Dale Jr. Is actually a really great graphic artist, paintscheme designer, Nationwide tho just never accepted a lot of his schemes.

i personally like Byrons Axalta i feel like it kinda seperates him from Gordon (not thats its a bad thing) and they kept the rainbow warriors type thing which is nice homage

I've always said Ally needs more blue on their cars and they knocked it outta the park with the Nashville car.

Chase’s Ashoc scheme is my favorite. I love the black and the red just work so well together. I also loved Larsons Ricky Hendrick throwback.

I was in Boot Camp for most of the summer stretch. My dad sent me a print out of Kevin Harvick’s Grave digger paint scheme, I taped it up to the lid of my foot locker. Whenever I was having a bad day, it was cool to just look at.

I think the Cheerios scheme that Stenhouse Jr ran for the last race at Phoenix was my favorite, that car looked amazing!

I’m a little sad that because of the next-gen, we’ll never see these kinds of schemes again

I really do love Byrons car It’s a great mixture of himself and a homage to Jeff,. Hendrick had some baller schemes this year.

I am surprised that Larson’s Vavoline car didn’t even make the honorable mentions. That paint scheme was beautiful.

I'm biased because I'm a Reddick fan, but my favorite scheme from this year was his Childress Vineyards car. Black, white, and gold are hard to make look bad, but that car is just awesome.

I'm so with you on Kevin Harvick's Subway Mustang. I just really like the shade of green. Especially when it fits at Bristol at night. It even matches his Playoffs spoiler and windshield banner too. 😁

I wish they ran that Ally scheme more. It was so great, but since it only got one race, it was easy to forget

Nashville Ally car was designed by Dale Jr. There was a fan vote on 2 schemes, one designed by Dale, the other by Jeff Gordon. The trick was you didn’t know who designed each car until the voting was over, that was Dale Jr didn’t just win by default.

Larson's Red Valvoline and Harvicks Grave Digger car were my faves

I really liked Chris Buescher's Fastenal car with the geometrical kinda shapes. Hope that one returns next year

That Ally car is beautiful. It really was more beautiful in person. Pictures did not do it justice. It was so bright and eye catching. Sooo glad the one race I went to had great paint schemes, the 48, the grave digger 4, tootsies 99, even stenhouses 47 nutrigrain Kroger car popped out

Throughout the season the Grave Digger scheme was my favorite but then comes Martinsville 2 and voila! The iHop car takes the number 1 spot. My other favorites were all of the Roush Castrol schemes and Kurt’s Monster schemes.

In my opinion the best lightning bolt paint schemes are the rusteze #95 from 2006, 11 and 17

Byron's Axalta and Suarez's Commscope were my top pics. I love bright, vibrant colors, but I also love blue cars too, so Byron's Valvoline, Keselowski's Keystone Light and Houff's Permatex ranked high for me.

I remember when I was little I had this Grave digger rc car, and I was so scared of it because of the ghost on the side and the red headlights, so some memories came back when I first saw that.

Kyle Larson’s all black scheme with the yellow playoff trims he ran at Las Vegas was my favorite. Maybe because I saw it in person, but that thing was sweet!

I'm surprised Larson's MetroTech scheme didn't make the list. A sharp design that literally said "first place finish" on the hood and he dominated all night for a historic win. Chase's black Hooters schemes always look great, too. A good list overall by Eric.

My favorite this year is the Harvick all star car

One of my favorite paint schemes this year was that Valvoline car Larson ran at Nashville and Bristol. I might be biased (because I've gone on the record early last season and said that Larson will be my driver once Kyle Busch retires), but I love that car. Red is my favorite color though, I really hope he gets to run that scheme more next season.

A bit surprised no mention of Larson's Metrotech blue/ white scheme looks clean. His Valvoline red/ white was also nice.

I loved the Tuskegee Airmen paint scheme on the 43 at Talladega. That was awesome!

I loved the Brad K Keystone Light car he ran at the 600. Looked so good under the lights.

Bell’s Rheem Scheme was also fantastic with the stripes down the side. Glad they got rid of the white LFR had on it.

Kevin harvick subway car is my favorite paint scheme of the year I hope it returns next year cuz it was beautiful this Year and I'm a guy that usually does not like Kevin harvick paint schemes but that paint scheme was phenomenal easily his best paint scheme he has ever driven

I agree with the list except the Subway car. I would put the Axalta car for Byron in the list, but I am happy the Alex Bowman car got the spot it deserved!

I think #23 was a test ., I remember them saying something about on Dirty Mo’s “ Door Bumper Clear “ podcast. It’s was to either help the fans or the spotters. Might have been just 23XI test.

I personally would place william byrons primary on the list. Somewhere around 7-8. Bowmans primary too would be an honorable mention

As much as I can’t stand Kevin Harvick, his Subway car was beautiful. I got to see it at the Bristol night race and it was so pretty. All the cars at the night race were so pretty to see.

I may be biased, but I feel that Bowman's primary Ally car and Charlotte FC car deserved at least an honorable mention, but I 💯% agree with the Neon Lights Nashville car being the best 2021 scheme, thing was gorgeous 😍

Awesome Top 10 list of favorite paint schemes you added! The ones I added on my favorite paint schemes list for each NASCAR driver are the Grave Digger car, ArmorAll car, and Ally Neon Lights car. Those were my favorites too! I also like Christopher Bell’s DEWALT car, Daniel Suarez’s Camping World car, Kevin Harvick’s Subway car and Kyle Busch’s Interstate Batteries car. Ryan Newman’s Castrol Phoenix car has a nice metallic silver, but I’m not too keen on the design and the blank spaces. For Bubba Wallace’s McDonald’s car, it’s ok, but I don’t like the cut out McDonald’s logo, I prefer if they just show the whole logo. And for Brad Keselowski’s Discount Tire car, it’s good, but we’ve seen it since last year when he ran this car during the playoffs in 2020.

I don’t miss those Monte Carlo like rear ends. Next gen cars look so much better. The #24 axalta rainbow car is easily one of my favorite Byron schemes to this day. 🌈

As a Bubba Wallace fan, I can't believe the old frybox is number 7 on here. The side design is distracting, the curve on the hood contrasts poorly with the curve of the windshield, and the fry stripes on the roof are aesthetically bland and too far away from the hood to accurately represent fries. Now the second frybox, the one that he won in, is fantastic. The solid red and yellow patches match McDonalds branding perfectly and the way the fries on the sides and roof are added actually captures the essence of the real thing while adding the illusion of speed blur. Frybox 2.0 is far superior. Also Bowman's regular Ally scheme needs more love.

I figured Grave Digger car would be a little higher but also really like Bowman's Nashville car, both cars really caught my attention while I was there

I'd say the William Byron paint scheme is supposed to be to make it his own version of the 24. Like how you could say the flames is Jeff Gordon's 24 whilst William Byrons is his style.

I like Byron's scheme. I like Bowman's original Ally scheme. I also like purple so there's that. I also really like Blaney's Body Armor scheme. The Grave Digger scheme was cool. There where a lot of good schemes this year.

My favorite scheme was the auto owners car the Truex drove at the Indy road corse

The Newman 6 car is a prime example why they shouldn't be moving the numbers, if teams aren't utilizing the space they have with the numbers on the door I don't see them doing it with the numbers slid forward.

That Bubba Wallace McDonald's car with the backwards roof number ran at Michigan, seeing that in person was very funny but it was a good looking car

Trackhouse had my top 3 favorite schemes of the year for sure. Other 2 are Newman’s Coke Zero and Larson’s Valvoline Daytona summer schemes

The zebra stripe Interstate Batteries scheme was the worst of all time. And it lasted almost a decade.

The StarCom Quin Houf 00 8 Ball Whiskey car was my favorite in '21

Look up Justin Haley's Peackock paint scheme from the season finale at Phoenix this year. That thing is BEAUTIFUL.
