Creep is bloody brilliant, so so good. I saw Honeymoon when it was on UK Netflix last year, and I thought it was pretty decent - wouldn't put it on my favourites list though. And totally agree about The Invitation, such a great build-up!
The Invitation was so obviously inspired by the heaven's gate cult and that just makes it so much creepier for me. Thanks for the recommendation and still can't wait to see the review for it!
I used to be such a wimp when it came to horror movies but since I love you so much I still subscribed to your horror channel, and now horror is my favorite genre hahaha thanks for opening up this amazing world for me!
If you're into horror comedies, definitely Stitches (creepy clown cult mess) and The Ouija Experiment. The scariest film I've seen is Lights Out. My faves are Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, The Conjuring (1 and 2), The Taking of Deborah Logan, and The Babadook.
Samantha Krysten yes!! Lights Out was probably one of the scarier movies I've seen in a while. It even creeped my husband out and he never gets jumpy at horror movies lol.
I don't know if you've watched this one but I'd love to see a review on 'Maniac' (2012.) Would be nice to hear your opinion on it as all of my friends hate it but its one of my faves...
Yesssss. Creep was such an unexpected treat! I loved how uncomfortable it made me feel😭 I don't know why it took me so long to subscribe to your horror channel!
Awesome list! Nobody EVER talks about _Honeymoon_, and I don't know why. I randomly saw it on Netflix and watched it because of Rose Leslie (as a loyal _Game of Thrones_ fan) - thought it was going to be "meh" because I've heard nothing about it, but it actually turned out pretty good! Have you seen _The House at the End of Time_? Also a random Netflix find for me - it's a Venezuelan horror film and it's pretty damn good, I definitely recommend it.
Am I the only one who found stupid and weird how the chick in "Preservation" tried to kill a deer with a gun but then called herself a vegan? (I'm not even vegan...)
Sarah, I've been watching all three of your channels for sooooo long and it's been so cool to see you grow your channels into what they are today! As a horror fan, frequent vlog watcher, and some one who is fascinated by psychology, your channels are all perfect for me and I'm so thankful to be able to come home from school and look forward to watching your vids. I love you💟
Have you seen/done a review yet on Mine Games, Would You Rather, and/or Time Lapse? (the last two aren't strictly horror, but more of suspense/psychological thrillers)
Dunno if you've ever seen this one but The One I Love is really really good, its like an indie horror/thriller and honestly one of the best and most underrated films ive seen, i think its still on Netflix. Definitely check it out!
idk if it's still on netflix but definitely a movie for everyone to check out is 13 Sins and another is shelter (A.K.A. 6 souls) they're both completely amazing & i guarantee u will want to pass this movie on
Starry eyes was.. Interesting. There was nothing scary about it for me personally, it just seemed like one of those artsy “horror” films. The only things I enjoyed were the originality of the concept, and the acting. Apart from those, it was just meh.
have you seen the Silenced? its on Netflix UK, not sure about US! and have you seen Martyrs? its a french horroresque movie, i love the plot definetly one of my fav horror movies you absolutely have to watch it if you haven't and review! :)
I go by Charles L. Grant's definition of horror. All horror must have some supernatural/fantastic elements to it, otherwise it's a piece of suspense or terror fiction. About half of the movies that you recommend are suspense movies. By the way, I've seen Let Us Prey about three times now. It's great, and stars, as the heavy, the same man who was the heavy in Dog Soldiers.
Ok so if you didn't watch it already: Archivo 253. It's a found footage film and it's a movie that isn't really that great the 3rd time around but the 1st and 2nd time is very scary.
When you described Let us prey it sounded familiar but when I viewed the trail I had not seen it...could there be two movies like this...I saw one b4 and it took place in a small town police department...also I saw this other trailer that sounds good and scary ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iFnQ250vdAg.html and Preservation was great!!
Ooooo please please please do the invitation review. I watched it recently and have so many thoughts. Actually when I watched it a few months ago I came here to see if you had a review up!
Hi Todd here just got done seeing your review of Pet semitary I liked your thoughts on it I did think that the girl was originally in the book dies now looking back at the original it the father and pictures showed more emotional outrage
I loved Creep, Honeymoon, and Starry Eyes, so I will definitely check out the others on this list! I didn't know The Invitation was a slow burn movie, so I got so impatient when I watched it that it sort of messed with my experience. I did love the ending, though! I would love to see you review the 2002 film May! It isn't too terrifying, but I found it unique, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
I'v been looking for some Halloween films! Thank you for the recommendations! You mentioning the whole clown thing reminded me - I've been meaning to suggest you review Stiches, the film with Ross Noble in - I'd be interested to hear your thoughts! Also it's more of a thriller? than a horror, but I still think you might like the film 'Skeletons' its directed by Nick Whitfield and is really brilliant, about two exorcists with a really great concept it feels very mundane in the way they treat everything I love it, but haven't managed to see it again!
I have watched Honeymoon and watched it again, and again. .you get the point. I think it's under rated as well. All of these movies are really good. Thx, Sarah!! Live the make-up today, too.
Been seeing a lot of ads on FB for a streaming service called Shudder, suppose to have nothing but horror films. Have you heard about it? Thanks for the list, will definitely check them out!
