you realize elena, damon and stefan aren't the only characters on the show, right? -.- A lot of these moments really weren't deserving of being on the list, when compared to things like Alaric and Jo's wedding massacre, Bonnie sacrificing herself to bring Jeremy back, etc.
Because this list is literally just catering to the largest section of tvd fan base which is almost solely the love triangle of Stefan, Damon and Elena. It’s for views.
One of my all time fav moments of this show was during their graduation, and the witches were doing the brain pain thing to them, and Klaus showed up outta nowhere and threw the grad hat and decapitated the head witch (Aja). I mean, c'mon you NEVER saw that kinda thing coming! And the look Caroline gives him is just too cute!
Elena's death? When Bonnie and Damon are stuck on the other side? When Katherine takes over Elena's body? Kai killing Jo and the babies? The death of Kol? Enzo going after Damon? etccccccccccccccccccccccccccccc

fvillag1 I am happy they did not kill Klaus because he is one of my favorite characters and yeah it really sucks without Elena, I still like it and I like the fact that without Elena Damon is more of a badass again but yeah I do miss her...
One of the moments which definitely is missing is the scene where ripper-Stefan calls Elena and "A drop in the ocean" is playing in the background. I think Elena says something like "Stefan, if this is you i want you to know that everything gonna be okay". One of my favorite scenes.
even if delena are my otp i cant deny that i think stefan and elena were perfect for each other for the time that they were together. And i remember i legit got tears in that scene. they were just so pure
Elena's breakdown after losing Jeremy and her going through all that and burning down the house, and even after when Damon sires her to turn off her humanity was such a powerful moment for me. I always go back to it, on top of her turning it back on after Damon kills Matt and her breakdown in that moment too. I love her. I loved this show.
when damon comes back to life and meet stefan should have been in the list.. it was one of the most epic moments in the series.. the #brotherly moments
Damon beheading Kai, then saying "head's it is" then going to Bonnie and saving her....best TVD moment ever. Honorable mention is when Stephan is upset about losing Damon and throwing the bourbon bottle only for Damon to catch it as he returned from the other side.
The Klaus and Caroline moment after her graduation, where he declares that he will wait for her as long as it takes....now that is a swoon worthy scene 😍
One of My favourite scene is when Stefan sits alone and says he misses his brother then throws the bottle of bourbon and Damon catches it when he returns from the prison world. They hug each other . That brother bond and love is exceptional. Damon and Elena's kiss in the motel and the song Another scene is when Stefan asks Caroline "WHY do u have a thing for me?" Stefan and Caroline's wedding when Stefan says "U once told me that I would fall madly in love without realising it and that's what happened day by day bit by bit year by year with you." The entire show was exceptional.
Watched series over and over multiple times and always thought that the best scene is when Elena remembers Damon after Alaric's compulsion...so beautiful and touching-to see her remember again!
When Damon and Elena where at the college party and they we dancing at the beginning of elenas the transformation to a vampire.That is definitely top 10
This list needs to be redone. There were so many scenes better than these which didn't involve Elena. Caroline and Klaus, Bonnie and Damon holding hands in the end.. Elena and Damon's dance should've been added atleast.
When Bonnie goes to see Damon before he gets in the coffin. Damon saving Bonnie after Kai tries to kill her at Alaric's wedding. And when Damon goes to see Bonnie and tells her word for word what he wrote in the letter he left her. Just as she had requested. And the many times Bonnie either put herself at risk or died saving her friends. The episodes where Liz Forbes was dying and the funeral/eulogy. Damon opening up to Elena as to how much he loves her and how wrong he is for her and tries to push her away. Caroline helping Tyler through the wolf transition. Stefan saving Damon after he removes his daylight ring and tries to turn to ash. Damon getting his mom to talk to Stefan and turn his humanity back on. Stefan realizes he could have been a father. Their mom joining forces with Stefan and Damon after she realized she could have had a grandchild. Enzo saving, hiding and falling in love with Bonnie. Enzo standing by Damon after they mend fences for the past. Loved Enzo, Alaric, Tyler, Elijah, Klaus and at the top of my list Damon!!!!!! It was amazing how they got so many crazy hot actors in one show!!!!!☆☆☆☆☆

She just wanted Damon to bring Jeremy's body down to the living room couch, then while she was pouring the lighter fluid and bourbon everywhere, she breaks down on the living room floor and Damon tells her to turn off her humanity and she has no choice bc she is sired to Damon (turning off emotions is the way to break the sire bond)

Klaus and Caroline! That scene in the forest was amazing! Not to mention the scene where he said that Tyler was her first love and that he intended to be her last. Wonderful!

I'm sorry but as a die hard The Vampire Diaries fan I think this list is completely wrong. It mainly focused on the earlier seasons, which fair enough were good, but there were far better moments in the more recent seasons. For example I can't believe you missed out, Damon returning from the 1994 prison world, Bonnie's 'Funeral', Liz's death, Caroline & Stefan lose their humanity, Damon dies and says goodbye to Elena and Elena & Damon finally getting together, they didn't even get an honourable mention!
When Elena found out about the whole "kill an original, kill all the vampires" thing and she is one the phone to Damon is memorable. The part where she says "Maybe if I met you first..." and we find out he did meet her first, only to make her forget. The part where Elena and Damon dance together in the Miss Mystic Falls pagent, while Stefan has gone offthe rails should have at least had a mention, too.
All Damon and Stefan one to one open heart scenes, fights, rants. The most interesting part of the show was the relationship between the two brothers and it's evolution over the centuries. Pure brilliancy, so well acted, nothing like it before and ever since on television.
I started watching this show during lockdown and literally addicted to it. I cant even stop myself watching episodes atlst 5 a day. I really love the show special love for Damon❤️
yes all these moments are awesome. but you didn't include the moment Elena gives her big speech to damon and tells him she's in love with him on the season 4 finale. that had me out of my seat and screaming YES!!!!!

Kaleb Miller Stelena is the main couple of the show, the true lovestory and they only had 1 scene. Delena, whose most of their scenes are fanservice, had 2 scenes. And you definitly can't understand someone's opinion

Oh my god, this list made me so emotional ahahaha I can't even watch the scene where Alaric changes Elena's memories about Damon, it hurts too much. Also, the show always had the best musical cues and choices!
no offence but everything after season 4 should be banned from this list because they are utter crap. with the exception of 5x11 for obvious reasons, also, i don't see how not a single bonnie, rebekah or caroline scene made it to this list...or kai who was probably the only good thing that happened post-s4
I think Bonnie's funeral, any klaroline scene, and Elena's crying/goodbye scene when Damon died (went to the other side with Bonnie) should've been on here. I also think the scene where Stefan and Damon reunite after Damon comes back from the other side should've been number one :')
Elena's breakdown while burning her house was most heartbreaking scene for me, even more heartbreaking than Elena died or sleeping, more than anything!
I can think of two big moments you guys forgot...1. Klaus tells Stefan to turn his humanity off, 2. Sheriff Forbes dies. I think these were two of the most emotional moments.
MY FAVOURITE SHIP WAS STELENA AND I LITERALLY CRIED WHEN DELENA GOT TOGETHER... My phone wallpaper was Stelena’s picture ( The one that Elena sees in 3x01 on her birthday) and I used to be sad whenever I opened my phone 😂
I think the #1 moment should have been the season 6 final with Damon and Elena's last dance. Because that was pretty much the last moment of them being together. This list sucked
I'm a bigger stefen fan than Damon but I don't like how everyone goes all crazy when stefen flips his humanity back on but it must also have been extremely hard for Damon to turn his humanity back on but everyone looks past him because he's the villain
Wall, considering that she was harder to defeat then the devil itself ,aka Cade ,she is the best villan ever. I like how people actually dislike Elena but adore Katerine...I mean, Elena would not need to be save over and over again if it wasn't for Katerine...

My favorite moment was probably when Caroline realized she was pregnant with Alaric and Jo's Twins. Perfect moment for someone who thought she would never be able to have kids or what she thought of as a normal life
Katherine is my favorite character. So much better than whiney little princess Elena. So Elena getting lucky and managing to slip Katherine the cure was actually the WORST moment in my opinion.
katherine was a bitch soooooooo and elena sacriced a lot of shit for everyone like in season 7 where she sacrificed her life to be in a deep coma just to let bonnie live her life. pretty brave even if its a show.
