I honestly can't believe that the US was consistently in the top 3. Out of all the amazing countries in the world, with their deep cultural heritages, national wonders, and shared sports, people consistently make visiting the States a top option. As an American, I'm legitimately shocked.

I think the stats are a bit wrong. I'm french and most of the time I hear France is only second, right behind Spain. It vastly depends on how the statistics are conducted. For example many people go through France for tourism in Spain, which inflates France's number of tourists, depending on how tourists are counted.

I think I know why. Honestly, Belgium is in a very poor position. It is located next to France. So if people want to go to the center of Europe, they will almost always privilege France, because we will say it Frankly, in Belgium the number of things to visit is counted in tens only.

Most people don't have a good traveling experience in our country. With how much people try to scam foreigners, it isn't surprising. Also the culture shock is a lot more than most places on that list

The US is a wonderfully big country with large vistas, mountain ranges, forests, beautiful oceans and vast cityscapes. Okay... it's Disneyland and Las Vegas, okay?

@@fizyoutoo5619 No everyone just wants to go to Paris cause it's known to be a place of history and known for the culture around it, Paris is a nice city to visit, most people in France will agree with me on what I'm gonna say, and it's that I think Paris doens't represent France at all, Paris is a place full of terrible people always stressed and who don't have time, you go anywhere else in France you are sure to find kind people and fun people who actually have something more in their life than money and their work, cause that's what Paris is all about and that's a shame cause it's a beautiful place the people in it are just not it 😂, else where in France you'll find beautifull landscapes like in Brittany in the north and in the south as well with people with an extremely cute and charming accent as well as nice weather and some nice landscapes , Paris is nice but it overshadows what the rest of France is unfortunately 😐

that's such a naive statement lol. why would you expect Montenegro here? it's a tiny country, most people don't know it but they have 2m tourists in a normal year, which is good for their small population. Croatia got nearly 20m tourists in 2019. Austria is definitely amazing for tourism, alot of beautiful mountains, lakes, great for outdoor activities, winter sport and well known and visited cities like Vienna, Salzburg. Ukraine is a huge country, it has nice coastal areas on the black sea for summer tourists, mountains, well known and visited cities like Kiev and it's very cheap for holidays.

There are countries in the list without much to offer except that they are cheap with mediocre sightseeing's and services. Croatia and Montenegro are like that.
