Hip pain can be very scary...especially when it hasn’t gotten better and doesn’t seem like it’s going away. Hip replacement surgery often comes to mind for people as a possibility for them someday...BUT WAIT!!!
Is it possible to heal from this hip problem naturally? YES! Check out the video to learn more about how that’s possible for each of the 3 most common causes of hip pain.
Hip arthritis, hip bursitis and sciatica all present differently on people and it’s possible to give yourself a ballpark diagnosis.
Of course this is no substitute for seeing a healthcare professional and getting a customized diagnosis and treatment plan. Please use common sense when seeking treatment and don’t do anything that makes your problem worse (that was a disclaimer ;-)
🌟🌟BONUS🌟🌟
The 4th most common cause of hip pain is a hip muscle strain.

Thank you so much for your hip videos, they are Life savers! I have so much pain in my hips, pelvis, and thighs. I am in my mid 40s, have sedentary lifestyle due to my severe pain from a Gynaecological condition, Endometriosis, and chronic back pain. Can you have all of these hip pain, including IT band issues? Can the symptoms move from one area to another? I had sciatica pain for a while, then moved to my side hip pain, now, going down my upper thigh. Would you be able to do any pelvic pain videos? Thank you for all the wonderful work you are doing!!!

I enjoy your content. Have you heard about antibiotics, especially fluoroquinolones, causing hip problems? That's what happened to me. The right exercises have helped me immensely. You are spot on! Thanks. Unfortunately, I never fully recovered and I have to use an electric scooter. Acupuncture gave me some of my life back.

Yes, I have seen those stronger antibiotics affect my family. My son in law had terrible joint pain after a month of strong antibiotics. He almost died from meningitis, but now he is fine. My mom developed terrible hip pain after taking antibiotics for hospital pneumonia. She improved some but needs a walker now. Has anything helped you get better some?
@LivingWithChronicPain2

@@marytomskicrane7189 Hi Mary! First, glad your son-in-law is doing well. Sorry to hear about your mom. Acupuncture helped me most. Next to that I also had Platelet Rich Plasma injections which helped some. I started a RU-vid channel to warn people about antibiotics and what kinds of treatments to avoid and why. I wished that I realized antibiotics caused my problems to begin with. I've since learned how to avoid them. Simple leg lifts help me keep my legs strong. I made a video on the exercises I do. I'm not expecting you to watch my channel but I go into more detail there which may help. Some people can get better with time. Hope your mom feels better soon!

I'm an active person..gym goer since I was 17 years old..now 68.... and going strong..watch u every night for other updates on all hip issues... Thanxs for spreading ur knowledge..have turn ur channel to others.. Keep rocking on hip news😅

Hello Doctor David...I've been dealing with Arthritis in my left hip, pelvis,knee and Sciatica since January -February 2023. My Orthopedic doctor recommended I see a pain specialist which I did...I've used a cane due to a Right TKR and was able to walk without it at times but now I'm using a walker all the time. I've had 7-8 weeks of Physical Therapy and even a Spinal injection by X-Ray to diagnose problem and it also should have given me some relief from pain...It Did Not !! Then he has prescribed a "Epidural into the spine" that would be done in the Labor and Delivery department of the Hospital for relief but I'm waiting for my Insurance to Ok the Procedure. But I'm afraid...I've heard of and know someone who ended up with Partial Paralysis due to this procedure. Is this treatment necessary due to the symptoms I described to you in the beginning of this comment. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I've watch almost all of your videos concerning my issues but just need to hear what you have to say on "Epidural Injections" cause I've not heard you or any other specialists give information on this subject. Thank You for any information or suggestions you can give me. God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio

I have all three. My hip bursitis developed because of my doing the sitting pigeon exercise for yoga. I pushed down on my knee too much. Now I have trouble walking up my stairs and swimming laps. Does ibuprofen help? You mentioned resting. How long should I rest? Sleeping with a pillow between my legs helps tremendously.
@epmanualphysicaltherapy
@epmanualphysicaltherapy 9 месяцев назад
Hey Mary! Sorry to hear you have all three!! That must be really rough! :-( Ibuprofen may help with some of the pain but should be taken cautiously to avoid any other adverse effects. When it comes to resting, you should rest until things feels better. If resting for days to weeks is not helping then it may be advisable to seek help from a good manual physical therapist. Hope this helps!

I seem to have a combo of all three because one seems to feed the other when I try to compensate for one ouch the others grow, will have to work on all of this I guess. some days are better than others, I also hear bone on bone when I stand solely on the bad leg like when putting on my clothes. I guess I have my work cut out for me. Thanks. What are your thoughts on the ways they fix the joints with the bone on bone problem. I am talking the injection of the gel or whatever it is to cushion it again. Just curious as to your take on it working or not. I am just looking at everything at this point and going to work on my muscles right now before even going there.... No leaping off of the cliff yet on any of it.

Hey Karen! The gel injections have helped many people with the symptoms associated with these issues. However, it is important to consider that they do not treat the root cause of the problem. The root problem is normally a muscle imbalance that has gotten worse over time. We have a lot of content available for treating all of these types of hip pain in case you are interested in learning more. El Paso- what do you think of the ‘Knees over toes’ program for knee pain? I have done the program for 1 and a half weeks and I think it might be making things worse. I believe I have moderate knee OA, age 43.
@epmanualphysicaltherapy
@epmanualphysicaltherapy 9 месяцев назад
Hey there! This is a difficult question to answer. The knees over toes program has a lot of exercises and stretches in it. Some of these are great general exercises and stretches. However, we have found that many people having knee pain are using their quads to much in their normal daily walking. This can be as simple as quad dominant walking. This program includes many exercises that can only be accomplished through the use of the quadriceps muscles. These exercises are generally good exercises, but not for somebody who is using those muscles too much already. We have found that the secret to getting rid of the knee pain is to transfer the muscular action to the hip whenever possible by using the glutes more often. We have some great content for this in case you would like to learn more. Here is a link to our playlist: “Knee Arthritis Pain Help” ru-vid.com/group/PLJVIPiFvv1maa9YF-WmKLF7oI4VoczH8i We also have a very in-depth, step-by-step program that we created to help people overcome the common causes of knee pain and avoid unwanted surgeries and injections in the future. In case you would like to learn more about the program, here is a link: Knee Arthritis Recovery Program The Knee Arthritis Recovery Program is designed to help people have the best chance of avoiding unnecessary surgery, injections, or having to rely on pain medications. This course guides people through exercises and stretches that target key body parts that have the greatest potential to prevent or help with knee conditions like osteoarthritis, meniscus tears, ligament injuries, cartilage problems and other knee conditions. Thank you very much for the detailed reply, I will examine these links tmr. The main reason I asked you this is because your knee OA exercises seem to take the opposite approach to Ben (KOT) by using glutes, toes and rest, compared to KOT which is quite intense on the quads someone with knee OA.
