It's because you're used to Pnina's ridiculous prices that they push on SYTTD Kleinfeld. You'd think they'd have a better selection with their supposed 15,000 dresses. If you go to more boutique salons who have a better selection of designers you'll find more comparable prices.

That or a really long dramatic veil with some beautiful lace work to add the extra drama and train. Nan was 100% right but she needed to offer some different solutions for the extra drama, rather than just digging in like that.

@@lillysthoughts4402 And I still stand behind what I said. Human beings tend to be quite meddlesome when they are the ones paying for something whether we like it or not. I don't care if people label it as a cash gift since it depends on the giver. How many times have our parents or grandparents gifted us with money only to tell us how to use that money the way they want it to be used? If you don't want others to meddle, it is better to use your own money so those meddlesome people can be easily told to shut up. The problem is many brides still want others to pay for their wedding dress and then they whine about not getting what they want. I tend to call these cash gifts "bribes" at times. So don't expect cash gifts to be real gifts all the time.
