Made by MTD, parts are very easy to find..Just another MTD product that has been repainted and rebranded. MTD is owned by black and decker and also owns dewalt. It's home owner grade not a pro line.
I am laughing. Your yard is bumpy, too. It looks like it is doing a good job. I use a push mower. My yard needs some leveling too. I love your videos. Thanks for sharing and making me laugh.😊
As a pro who mows for a living I wouldn't buy a DeWalt. Simply for the fact of dealer relationship. I support my dealer, they support me well. And if my mower goes in for service they have loaners for me. Not that I wouldn't buy one. But dealer support is huge. And buying a mower to bring to another shop for service doesn't really support the dealer.
@@Dirtmonkey I haven't. But my exmark dealer Is awesome. Being a solo lawn care guy, they even know my name. Means a lot to me. A dealer support network could be decent. Im pretty sure your in Hudson home Depot. I was there also looking at those mowers a week ago. But I know Kelly at All Season down the road is a great person and would gladly buy from him.
I love my dewalt power tools but this mower isn't professional by a long shot, just another rebranded MTD product line that gets several other simular paint jobs and logos on it. MTD is no different then a bread factory, all the same products just different packaging
@@zack9912000 what other colors? Besides the cub cadet pro line? Not sure what constitutes a commercial mower to you, but spec wise but some of the pro z from cub have a Kawasaki engine and strings hydros the the exmark radius does. And it is definitely beefier then my gravely I use commercially. Though with good quality maintenance, my old mini zt1540 gravely still mows grass 5 days a week.
@@meegstomtom They make nearly all the brands people see at the big box stores. I have been to their production plant a few times and it's all the same parts on the same assembly lines with different paint schemes. Engine wise I rather have a US made engine that I can get parts for not some cheap imported motor from china or Mexico. Kawasaki motors are not a bad motor for the most part and at least some of them are made here. If it is bought at a big box store it isn't commercial grade. If people want a true commercial grade equipment you don't get that at homedepot or any other big box store. Those stores give MTD in this case a strict price requirement they must stick to or they won't sell their products. So MTD cuts quality to meet the price by using thinner gauge metal, substantially more imported parts, they cut back on the warranties. Less quality control checks during production. Sure you can find a strong consumer grade equipment that will last the DIYer a while but they absolutely won't last long as a daily driver. True commercial equipment is ONLY through their respective dealers and only there can you get good quality equipment. If you don't want a product that purposely has quality cut to meet homedepots cost requirements, you never buy from them. It's pure marketing bs from those dewalt reps and home depot making homeowners think they are getting the good stuff like the pro use but it isn't.
Love your videos as always!! Been watching you for a really long time and have learned a lot from your videos!! I do construction(plumbing) and lawn care on the side. Funny enough I originally found out about your channel from your fish tank😂 would love to see an update video of it!!
Great video Stan. I have a question for ya. What is the best and reasonable priced zero turn mower that you have tested out in your opinion? Because my pops and I are looking for zero turn for our two acre property out in the country side of town in South Eastern Texas.
Stanley black & decker ( dewalt ) recently bought mtd ( cub cadet ) to launch them selves into commercial mowers black & decker be taking every market over
Thank you 😊 I downloaded the app and I can’t wait to use it. Sharing is caring. 😬👍 I was not a huge fan of the the battery operated Chainsaw you did that video about three years ago. I still kept my steel chainsaw though.
There aren’t too many reviewers I trust to tell us when they think a product is crap (not that you said that in this video). I think I’m learning to trust you, Stan. Thanks!
appreciate that. One thing about my reviews- that you may or may not notice- I don't say anything good or bad about a product. I try to SHOW what a product can and can't do and let you guys decide what you think. Unless I feel REALLY strong about something.
Cool dog. One thing I like is the foot placement. . That's my biggest problem with zeroturns. You need to be able to brace yourself back into the seat. .. if need be.. lol.
What's the best stand on 52 I know you've put them in the tests? I've got a older grandstand it's still nice. Just wanted your opinion on bobcat deere ferris toro wright badboy spartan etc
Hey Bub thanks for another video have a great weekend God bless....P.S hope the DeWalt is still there when I get out there...I want to play, I want to play, I want to play..lol
Not a fan of dewalt power tools personally, but I'd consider a mower from them. Motor sounded pretty strong through that brush, and it looks well so far going through the yard.
I really hope the Dewalt mowers do well for people. The only thing that i don't like is they only offer one engine option and that being Kawasaki Engines. I wish they would offer both Briggs and Stratton and Kohler but that's just me. As always great video.
Any chance we could see a video on how this mower stripes? We always lay down stripes in my neck of the woods and I'm curious how well it stripes. Maybe you can throw Alex on there since he's your stripe guy and have him do a double or triple cut and see if he can lay down some diamonds? Just curious cause that's our signature stripe pattern in my company and I think that would make for a really cool video since its usually a 50/50 shot that someone stripes, or just mows in whatever direction or circles! Especially since a lot of companies stripe and even customers that have gotten mad before because their lawn was just cut and not striped lol, seeing how they're professional grade mowers I think that kinda video would tailor to a lot of guys (and gals) out there! Been loving the spring time videos Stan, and been loving the mower testing videos!
Hey stan, I didn’t realize you were dropping. A video tonight, my bad for not lookin earlier, i had to water the plants and the i had to load my equipment up so i can mow my three lawns before my cousins wedding, we had leftover hotdogs tonight and a bag of Arby’s curly fries, today i did 1 lawn, bagged it, and hen i went through the flower bed ripping g weeds out. Turned the soil, and i sprayed it down to where it was almost like mud cause its been very dry so i am keeping the soil as moist as possible so the plants don’t die. But i mixed the soil up to kept he constancy that i like. I hope your day was awesome Stan, i mow three lawns tomorrow. Did you see the new plung router they came out with, it looks really powerful. So Stan, i gotta ask, as a owner of your company, eBay is the best and worst move you ever made, if you don’t wanna say that’s cool but if you want to then that’s cool to. I know since i am young, lie 17 young lol, i am bound to run into something g sooner or later. Anyways, Stan, can’t wait for Friday’s video as well, god bless and go get em, your pal and friend, Alexander costa
Thank for another great video, I looked these up and found out that they’re basically a MTD branded as a DEWALT, Black and Decker is the parent company that owns MTD and Cub Cadet, and they also own DEWALT…….
Yes mtd owns them but these mowers are exclusive to cub cadet pro and now DeWalt. Nothing in common with the cheaper cub cadet and other mtd zero turns. Other then that wide area 33" walk behind. Which troybuilt and cub cadet also sells.
THIS I used to service their manufacturing plant and a lot of brands are made by MTD, just rebranded and different paint jobs on simular stampings. It a repainted Cub Cadet, not what I would consider professional product. Very few build quality differences between their products, talked to a lot of their employees there about their product lines. It's all the same crap with different motors and paint jobs. Hence why I never buy any MTD branded products like Cub Cadet, Troy built and so on.
Here's my question say your pto clutch goes out how easy is it going to be to get one, do you get it from homedepot or are they also going to have dealerships
So basically you have to order it? Not like going to my scag or exmark or ECT dealer having one in stock and picking it up and going about my day ? Sounds like Amazon has you covered if that's the case. John's lawns. Thanks as always Stan. Glad you do the work use little guys can't afford to take the risks on equipment we can't service or get parts for.
@@johnslawnseasttn4489 it depends. If the service center gas one in stock, they won't have to order it. It's no different than any other mower being serviced by any other service center.
Is that walk behind like a 32 inch the same as that cub cadet that used to be available I've been looking for the ferris or the snapper can't find one anywhere (fw15)
Briggs And Stratton Own Snapper, Ferris, Simplicity, Giant Vac, Murray. Just To Name A Few . And Are All On Back Order 😒 Sounds Like June Or July When They Will Be In ! I Hope 🤔
Stan, just curious how the DeWalt mower would handle 1 of your big lawn mowing accounts as far as longevity in the business. 🤔.. another 5 ⭐ video 💯❤️ IT from South Carolina viewer
I would ask how does it do as far laying stripes but it seems you're not really about that stripe life. Lol. Just gitr' mowed. The stand on unit does a decent job as seen on Brian's channel. What size wheel motors is she sportin?
For laying proper "stripes" you need the right attachment for your mower. Whether it's walk behind, up to zero turn you can find stuff like this to do he job...it's the attachment, not the mower, that does the work: www.bigleaguelawns.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=HUSS21-STO30
It can take up to 2 years for my Shepherds to reliably not jump on people regardless of distractions. My parents got them to stop earlier than that but they were ~abusive. I only do positive reinforcement and light verbal corrections.
Thanks for another cool video Stan. I have to ask, does your wife ever get confused if she hears you saying "Hey Baby"? Baby is a beautiful dog despite her bee eating habit.
I have concerns about the “repair network”, I bought a Husqvarna years ago from the other box store. Purchased the warranty plan and called when the shaft broke at about 13 hours. I had to use my stepdads mower for the remainder of the season until I got it back in November. Those guys were fixing all the mowers they sold and could care less about mine. I was basically told I wasn’t “their” customer. Now I buy my mowers from the guys who fix my mowers.
So they show service centers, but I put this in the same category as if I buy a Honda, Cub Cadet, John Deere, Echo, or Husqvarna product at Lowes or Home Depot then take it to the local guy for service. "Did you buy it here? No, its going to be 2-3 weeks. My customers come first."
I love my dewalt tools but I won't buy that mower. Just another company black and decker bought out. Considering they own MTD equipment it is just rebranded MTD product. I used to service their air compressors and refrigerant air driers at the MTD plant. All the same stuff they just repaint and rebrand the same stampings. MTD is the same thing as what bread manufacturers do, all the same exact products just different packaging. Also Homedepot or any big box stores don't sell pro grade products. They give MTD a order for products that don't exceed a price point. If you want a pro product you must go to a dealer
It's made by MTD who makes Cub. MTD is owned by black and decker who owns dewalt. MTD products are all the same crap just repainted and rebranded. They also make troy built on the same assembly lines with simular stampings. Been to their plant for work and spoke at length with their workers. My opinion MTD products are not professional grade by a long shot, they supply all the DIY big box stores with same cookie cutter products for a fixed price and quality shows.
I've had a unit with the fx830v and i gotta say. Great engine. Been 3 years and 650 hours with 0 issues. However i dont know if the dewalt uses the fx series or the lower end version. I forget what they are called.
But,where's the hard part support? Us Commercial guys don't have time to wait for 2 weeks for a belt idler pulley (for example)...these units are too new for other distributors to have "on shelf" parts...im sure some parts will crossover from other units(like an MTD/Cub Cadet),but that's a pain in the ass most times...Go with a Toro,ExMark,Scag or Dixie Chopper(the best), that has a well established parts network and distributors with parts "in stock"
Stan, one question... whom actually manufactures this mower? I doubt that Stanley has a factory for these things? No? Google isn't really helpful. Other than that another great series in the can!
Stan looks like another big box store trying to push out the small independently owned lawn mower shops. But they need them to fix them when they brake. If at all possible I will always chose a small business owner over a large chain store.
@@zack9912000 I would have to agree they cut quality but Stan said made by MTD not Dewalt if they made it sure would be battery powered MTD makes a lot of snowblowers tractors and other equipment branded under other names but not known for their commercial grade
If you don't use a cell phone, that means you're not running a business, that means you won't need a commercial mower, which means you won't be needing service or the app. Anyways, you can do the same thing from a website on a computer. You people that beat about not using a cell phone, every chance you get, are insufferable.
