The lumbricals and interossei muscles in your hand can become tight from all the work we do with our hands. 👎🙌 The stretches require quite a bit of mobility of your fingers so may be more advanced for some of you. my hand therapist did not teach me these exercise instead having me play w/ putty and use heat. this is awesome! i have wrist pain. Pain in the distal pinky finger area prevent me from bending the finger 100%.

Omg, I've been struggling with pain and loss of grip strength on my right hand for months and had no clue how to fix it. These exercises immediately brought relief. You are a life saver, thank you! thank you! thank you!
I can't thank you enough for this. My hands have been an issue but because I'm a caretaker for my parents who are in their 90's,it was daunting to try and schedule physical therapy. This is exactly what I need.
Ohh I just started caring for Dad full time 24/7. 5 months now . I never considered that. Pain and tightness in hands starting very recently. I bet that's it completely. Probably over used. I know they are. All of me is
I watched so many videos before this one, and nothing was helping the pain in my left palm but your stretches actually brought my pain down a few levels... thank you! ❤
I was having trouble tonight. And you came along at the right time. MY HANDS FEEL SO MUCH BETTER THAN 40 MIN AGO!! THANK YOU. OMG. Any stretching I was doing was wrong. Useless. These really made a difference
Thank you! I've been really going hard with the six-string (trying to unlearn bad hab. Just as I'm making some real progress in a song I'm trying to learn, I get this palm pain. 🤬
I feel the most tightness at the base of my thumb but I don’t feel these stretches really included the thumb. The first one helped the most although I can’t figure out the hand positioning.
Thank You!!! The palms of both hands were so tight that it was generating pain all the way up through into the neck. I believe that the tightness in the palms resulted in a lack of blood flow circulation which caused the ancillary issues. I have been stretching the fingers, but while they were straight. This bent position appears to target the muscles with the necessary precision.
I do a lot of gardening for a property and spend a lot of time having to use water cans and hoses. The weight and tension on my right hand eventually started to cause pain. It's been aching for a month and I wasn't sure what to do. This stretch provided instead relief. I will incorporate these exercises into my daily routine to rehab my hand. Thanks so much
thanks for great xcises! But like to add: My background is one hand being in a cast for 5 weeks. One or two finger suffered much more damage from that. So the 1. xercize is great cause each finger gets full attention. 2. xercize focus more on the whole hand. But it is possible to focus on and press at each knuckle if big variation in stiffness (using thumb& index of other hand) before opening and strectching !?
i play Fortnite on controller and those hours of grinding can sometimes really come back and bite you right in your hands, THIS VIDEO TAUGHT ME A LOT, GOODBYE CRAMPS, HELLO CASH CUP TOURNAMENTS
Thanks for the stretches. I have Fibromyalgia and my muscles are very sensitive to changes. My husband and I are into gravel biking and I just moved from a mountain bike handle bar to drop bars on my new bike. This really bothered my palms. These stretches' have been great to get the stiffness out! Thank you for sharing.
Oh my goodness that felt like heaven, thank you so much for the great stretches. Personally I got instant relief of tention. After recently shifting through a dozen other hand stretches your by far masterly expained so anyone can get it. didn’t even know my fingers spacing could be worked out of the crooked positions they been in since I started sports. Now I guess all that’s left is doing some reshearch on what the MP’s P.I.P’s, and D.I.P.’s mean😂
This is an absolute lifesaver. I have so much chronic pain in my hands with no explanation, and I can't get at those palm and finger muscles. This gave me so much relief. Thank you.
Hey doc, tried all of these and it was just what I was looking for. Tried each one and analyzed how they were feeling, even though they all target the same thing I felt each one had it's plus. I felt they individually they all did their part, worked together to produce some nice, flexibility, mobility and resume the strength that should be there already. The results were great, I saved this in my notes. Thank you very much!
Thank you soo much doc ❤️.I m searching pain release video over the RU-vid.. then i found your exercise video.I have applied these exercises... On the 1st attempt i got the positive response of these exercises... Thank you soo much doc again ❤️❤️
Brilliant video. I had a Colles fracture in July; I have physiotherapy every day, but I don't seem to be making much progress. My hand is always hot and swollen, and I can't make a fist. I don't know if this is normal after a Colles fracture. I have moved to a different country and I don't have enough language skills yet, to ask the physiotherapist! Thank you :o)
Do you think these exercises would address palm pain (pad below thumb area), and sometimes hand aches that happens to me with downward dogs/planks/push-ups etc.?
I’m dealing with elbow fracture it’s really hard to find a good therapist these days last one hurt my bicep so bad I’m in pain every days I’m been trying your exercise gently they seem to help
These are a little more advanced. If you have a lot of swelling they can be difficult to do. There are plenty of other exercises that may work for you! 🤗
