Angel of Destiny with Tainted Remedy effects can get funny Thieving Skydiver+ Effects that can change a creature to an artifact for a turn can get silly, looking at you Transmogrifying Licid, Liquimetal coating, Memnarch, Mycosynth Lattice... :p

I’m surprised Ancient Greenwarden wasn’t on the list. It’s a Crucible of Worlds + a Landharmonicon that’s all stapled together on a 5/7, that has reach for some reason. At 6 mana it’s certainly not ideal for the early game, but the ability to play lands from graveyards pushes lots of “lands matter” decks into overdrive, and doubling landfall triggers on top of it... this card seems nuts to me.

You know, everybody keeps talking about the "inefficiency" of Feed The Swarm and like...WTF?! It's TWO MANA. It kills ANY creature or enchantment an opponent controls. FOR TWO MANA. How on earth is this inefficient?! Yeah yeah, you lose some life, big deal especially in EDH. I'm okay with black getting to destroy opponent's enchantments as long as it can't deal with its own, but this feels like a VERY strong "third best" at enchantment removal... :/

The only thing that makes me dislike it is sorcery speed. Sure it's mono black and thus has value in decks that can't otherwise deal with enchantments, but many 2-color combinations have better removal like Assassin's Trophy or Anguished Unmaking at instant speed.

KingOfBlades27 oh itll be an auto include in any deck im running in black. Substitute for murder to give ways to deal with enchantments and use the new modal murder land to keep the murder.

I think this card isn't bad. But for my Meta in EDH Sorcery speed just is no bueno for removal. For most RB or mono B deck it is ok but every other colorcombination has just way better ways of dealing with Enchantments.

While it isn't a format changer or anything, Zendikar Rising has given mill a really good boost in commander (especially paired with the stuff we've gotten in Jumpstart and Core Set 2021). I'm moat excited for ruin crab and Charix the Raging Isle. My Phenax deck rejoices at the crab with the huge butt.

Confounding conundrum caught my eye as a big middle finger to fetch lands, bounce lands etc. It has the capability of slowing down both green ramp decks as well as three or more color decks that use fetches to get the lands they need.

I really like Ashaya! I think the fact that she makes non-token creatures into forest lands is surprisingly relevant if for no reason other than they cannot be bounced with an overloaded cyclonic rift.

I applaud you for taking the road less traveled and venturing into the cards aside form Lithoform Engine (I am the only one in my play group that rates Angel of Destiny so validation is great also.) However, I think it would be remiss to not include Skyclave Relic. Just a strictly better Darksteel Inget that grows into the game and gives ramp to any color is an amazing ability. Truthfully, I am curious if that kicker ability in builds of any U/G deck simply doesn't matter because you should have more than enough mana by turn 6 in those decks, but for W/R/B builds that often struggle to get to their Elesh Norns, or to double cast important combo pieces (Vito and some life gain effect) its amazing. Even better in those decks that need to leave sneaky Path to Exile, or Sunforger activation mana up.

Thieving Skydiver is immediately and permanently going into my Kumena EDH deck. Angel of Destiny is also an auto-include into angel tribal.

Myriad Construct, the kicker value in multiplayer is insane , and the trigger to get the Construct tokens is worded so that you can get Constructs from multiple targeting.

I am super happy to see more Rogues being made as I have a Edric Rogue tribal deck -- Merfolk Windrobber is my favorite from this set. I would love to see more Rogues being made in green though

Felidar retreat is a very nice addition to trostani decks, in my opinion. Creates tokens to populate and then you can anthem all your creatures. Very strong for token builds

I’m a man that likes bugs, and not only was I surprise that a card like Iridescent Hornbeetle got printed as a fan of bugs, but it allows any movement of +1/+1 counters to create a ton of bugs. Such an effect is pretty powerful for an uncommon.

Something info want to mention about lithoform engine, as well as verazol, reguarding there unique ability to copy a permanent spell on the stack: Twinning staffs first effect, where it makes a second copy of a copied spell on the stack is all spells, not just instants and sorceries.(although it's second effect is limited still)

That merfolk is really good in older formats as well: I'm not sure about Legacy, but stealing a mox, a crypt, a walking ballista (or at least forcing it to self-destruct), stonecoil serpent and their likes is pretty strong!

Agadeem's Awakening, Emeria's Call, Sea Gate Restoration, Shatterskull Smashing, and Turntimber Symbiosis. They can auto fit any deck by replacing a basic land. Early game bolt land and late game spell.

Really looking forward to adding Vampagoyf, erm, Nighthawk Scavenger to my Edgar Markov deck. Seems like gas in a 4 player game. More opponents = more graveyards to be filled with different card types.

Also with the merfolk, if you have an equipment of your own that’s costly to equip, you can target your own to auto equip. I think the split current will be one that sees decent play as a commander at least, but not sure what’s going to be wanted for the 99.

BeltFed Weapon Prof! The mythic cycle of Sorcery / Land cards. Possibly paying 3 life to have the land come in untapped when you need it to is strong. Paying no life when you dont lose tempo for a tapped land is convenient. Or a sorcery that effective is in a land slot when you need it; e.g. late game. There is very little downside and/or opportunity costs in EDH with this cycle. It’s a slam dunk in an EDH with 3 colors or less.

Another thing about Angel of Destiny that wasn't addressed yet, the lifegain doesn't negate Commander damage. So you can hit someone once or twice with a beater commander and still take them out, no matter how much life they gain.

Funny thing about Moraug is that if you drop a land in your first main phase, you get an "additional" combat step before your main combat step.

I really like the mythic modal lands. The 3 damage they deal rarely matters and these can give your deck a lot more oomph because they are replacing lands, not spells and creatures.

I was really surprised to not see Scute Swarm on this list, though that may be a personal bias as I have a Chulane/Karametra deck that it will slot into magnificently. Six lands in commander is criminally easy, and even with just an Evolving Wilds, you've turned 1 bug into 4, and that number will just continue to double, absolutely forcing a boardwipe.

Personally I really enjoy the modal land card introduced here. Although they have downsides of coming in tap, they do seem to have potential in lands matters deck or control. My Titania deck already runs some copies of functional reprints of some of those lands, like Khalni Ambush, for example. Really looking forward to see how they play out in my decks

Skyclave Apparition seems really good, ETB on a 3 mana creature that exiles any nonland nontoken permanent with cmc 4 or less is abusable and hits a lot of juicy targets. The small downside of giving your opponent's a token can even be an upside in decks like Marisi

Important note about Moraug (who I love dearly and is disgusting in my Korvold lands deck): You might NOT want to make your land drops in the first main phase. The wording indicates that the additional combat steps happen before regular combat if it’s first main, so even if you get something like two extra combats, you’ll miss one of three total because your creatures will not untap during regular combat.

I hope that the set is opened enough to make the rare modal lands cheap enough for budget players to get them for Edh. They have awesome utility and I believe will make great tools for a format becoming more and more dependent on not having lands come into play tapped

While using moraug, don't play your land until second main phase. If you play it first main phase, you'll get your extra combat, untap, attack, then go to your regular combat and NOT untap. So you'd still only get to attack once.
