These are the details you missed from season of the 13 Reasons Why! Did you catch the color of the nail polish on those anonymous notes left for Clay? Since it was eventually revealed that Zach was the one leaving the messages for Clay, we can’t help but wonder whether the nail polish was a subtle nod from the creators of the series or a conscious decision by Zach, who was another person close enough to Hannah to know the significance of the color. How about that photo Tyler took of Hannah at the park? When I saw Tylers scene, I had to pause it right after and take a moment because I was utterly speachless. I felt so horrible for him, he was trying so hard to be better for himself and others. I understand why he felt the way he did. He was violated and mistreated inhumanely and at that point he probably felt that no matter what he did to be better nothing would ever change. So he let his emotions take control. As they say, hurt people go hurt people.

Maybe it was ‘too much’ for some people to see but it’s the harsh reality of what some people actually go through. 13 reasons why doesn’t sugarcoat, they keep it real and I think some people prefer to sweep these issues under the rug because they might be uncomfortable topics.

Completely agree. When they were about to start promoting S2 (which was suppose to be released March), Parkland happened. So they gave it some time and pushed for May (my thinking was to change the ending). That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if there are two endings to S2 that were filmed. One where Tyler starts shooting; and this one. With everything going on in America (and how often this circumstance happens): seeing anyone shoot at a school would give the viewers ptsd.

near the beginning of the season, I was kinda figuring a school shooting was gonna happen....Tyler with the guns at the end of season 1, meeting Cyrus and going shooting, their attitudes, etc. But I thought Cyrus would be in on it and they'd do it together; it'd be Tyler's idea, but they both would be apart of it

Am I the only person who realizes the UNREALISTIC nature of the sexual assault on Tyler. He was sodomized to the extent where he should have had serious physical injuries (i.e. internal bleeding) and unable to even walk. If they wanted to depict that type of sexual assault accurately, then WHY did they not show how bad the physical impact would actually be from the attack. Instead, it shows Tyler just having a little blood in the bathroom and then functioning well enough to prepare for the school shooting and then actually go to the school itself. If anyone can provide me an example of a person that has been sodomized with an item similar to a mop stick without needing immediate medical attention, then please put the link below because I would love to be proven wrong and know that this could be a realistic depiction of this kind of sexual assault.

I think it was totally purposeful to have his hair darker since he shot himself in the head and has scars running all around his scalp which is especially noticeable in the final episode at the dance. I had read the book about 3 years before watching the show and I never realized how big an impact would these tapes have left on all the students. It's actually great to watch season 2 as it finally brings her story to conclusion though I obviously think that Bryce deserves worse than he is getting. I hope in season 3 Hannah, Jessica , Chloe and girls like them get their justice

Aww ai wish you would’ve talked about the use of what I like to call ‘Hannah Blue’ throughout the season bc it’s literally everywhere from clothes to bedsheets to decor. I think it’s supposed to give the overwhelming feeling that Hannah is still all around the town and that her presence is a strong one amongst everyone she’s affected during the trial or personally. It’s something that I really loved about the season, their use of Hannah Blue.

Guess I should’ve paid more attention😅 I only noticed the color tone change between the flashbacks and the present time (when Clay was listening to the tapes and stuff) and the combination of warm and cool tones in the false reality scene between Clay and Hannah in the room. I’ll have to go back and check it out though!!

there was a point when Hannah mentioned something i think is important. i can't remember when it was but she said that while she was doing something she "felt something shift inside" of her. i know some people who think it was her suicidal emotions shifting but i personally think that since Bryce Walker raped her and showed no sign of using a condom or any other contraceptive, Hannah was pregnant. i haven't seen or read people discuss this, am i wrong?

if you rewatch the season, you can see hannah walking around but you have to look closely. i caught it a couple times during one of the trials, her wake, and in the hallways at the school. she has her long hair and the same backpack we saw her have in the first season

I know this isn’t exactly a necessary detail, but I can’t be the only one who realized Hannah’s hair in season 2? According to research, your hair doesn’t grow after death. It may appear longer because your skin is retracting. Considering before Hannah died, she cut her hair slightly above shoulder length, her hair wouldn’t have appeared to be so long in season 2. She was only dead for 6 months when the season was taking place, her skin wouldn’t have retracted so much. I know people probably don’t care but this is still something I noticed.

It’s Ya Girl Maria I did notice this, but I think because she was basically part of Clay's memory this was how he chose to see her. It didn't make sense to me too at first why she should have long hair if she cut it, but then thinking about how everyone was talking about various times that they knew her, most of it was when she had the long hair. So, I think they chose to have her with the long hair.

A thing most of you probably didn't catch is that there's a scene in S2 where Jessica and Alex are talking in class, and in the back there's a girl who's holding and using her iPhone upside down. Oh and another detail: in S1 there's a scene where Hannah is making a phone call at work while her phone is still booting, since it's showing the Apple logo

I didn't notice the 4/20 symbolism but I did know about the Columbine shooting, The Sid and Nancy resemblance because I never heard if them and the poster because I never heard of Joy Division.

I predict for season 3 that Justin and Jessica end up like the musicians they were. With the theories that Justin might be killed by his drug addicted stepfather and with how Bryce tried to stop clay from revealing the truth by attempting to run over him in season 2 might say how Jessica might be killed by him to still cover himself up.

We all felt very uncomfortable after watching Tyler's scene, but don't just say it was "necessary" to bring up the topic, the show wasn't made to spark conversations about anything, it's based on a book and its only scope is to be a netflix series and to entertain 😅

Just curious if there wasn't talk about there not being a season 2 and canceling the show completely, if season 2 would've went a different way. Just seems like some stuff was changed cause everyone gets but hurt if the wind blows a leaf from there neighbors yard into there yard.

Due to the narrative of the story it felt a little too slow paced. And some of the dialogue felt a little too forced. Also 2001: A Space Odyssey is a boring movie? like, really? I feel like them tackling on gun violence was a little too tacky and a little too much. They addressed Skye's mental illness, but they never addressed the fact that suicide isn't just getting "bullied to death" its a bunch of things weighing in. It does do the job of opening up the conversation, but not in a good way. Yeah, kids should be nicer to each other, but suicide is a very complicated thing, and in the show it seemed a little too one dimensional. This is just my opinion, as someone who has struggled with mental health, I really wanted the show to do the topic justice, but it bites off more than it can chew. I also really hope that it doesn't have a third season, cause hannah's story is kinda over. maybe do a spin off or something, but not an entire season of this.

It isn’t the same picture. In the photo shoot she’s wearing a black top with a triangle piece cut out at the top with her hair half up. In the photo on her locker she’s wearing a blue top with all of her hair down. The rest of the Easter eggs are pretty spot on though!
