that is one of the quickest, simplest and most complete iron cross tutorial on youtube!, great video, it will help for sure, and i agree with everything 100%! really logical way of thinking. Would like one for one arm pull up if possible!
I am 50, too old for cross, I have never done gymnastics I am 190cm, 6'3", too tall for gymnastics. I am 320lbs, 145kg, I am way to heavy to do rings. I didnt care, I wanted it anyways, I trained it since I was 47, I trained it properly right from the start and I still have a chance to get it. 💪👍
@@deltalima6703keep up the good work!!! If you want to get more info about iron cross and calisthenics training you can take a look to my book "Against gravity", there is a video also on the channel. Thank you!!!
interesting thinking at the end! i didnt know that, i want OAP and dont have yet, and i also want iron cross but didnt start to train it yet, maybe that's whats missing in my training to help achieve weighted pull up/oap strength! thanks bro
I think transfer is more evident from iron cross to weighted pull up. I don't suggest to train iron cross to improve weighted pull up strenght. If your goal is to reach a good strenght in weighted pull ups the fastest way is to focus and train specifically pull ups and weighted pu. If you want to reach the iron cross and train for it you will instead improve also pull up strenght indirectly.
@@simonepozzoni yeah but i want both xD, and i kinda agree, most people who can iron cross have a strong weighted pull up, like you for example, even there are cases where some people hold iron cross first try without training, just with weighted pull up strength carryover, obviously with not perfect form, bent arms and stuff, but still manage to pull it out with brute strength from weighted pull up, but i also i agree u gotta do the exercise still and not expect only free results from other
