It is an excellent and worthy choice to marry rich. However, nothing says desperate more than not having your own money. Prior to any relationship, remember to always come with your own source of income, no mater how big or small. Should things not work out, you never want to be left out in the cold. For women, it might be awkward to date a work colleague esp if things end poorly. * Budget $ to live in affluent area if possible. Can regularly ‘bump into’ same people doing errands and leisure activities [dry cleaners, cobblers, neighborhood cafes, dog parks, specialty markets -ie fishmongers, butchers - grocery stores, tailors, small boutiques w/ male & female apparel, unisex hair salons Add “nice teeth” and not too much makeup to the looks part Add: go to upscale [not rowdy] sports bar alone if you like any sports. Amuse yourself, get a bite to eat. Worst things: desperation, trying too hard, and faking you’re something you’re not. Just be your authentic best and you’ll be ‘discovered’.

True Story. I lived in nyc upper east side for many years, in Sutton Place. I lived there because I was married to a surgeon, and I got a fair exposure to how wealthy lives and is in this part of town. I was the only Latina on this building , and found no joy in so much snobbery. Little gossipy me befriended few elders dog owners like me and Vinny, the wonderful gay guy in the front desk! I love to laugh and many times I took time to chat with him. He wasn't someone to gossip, he loved his 30 years something work, but after some wine in Thanksgiving I asked about a lady that didn't seem to belong there. He said she was the owner of one of the biggest penthouses in that building... and she was the nurse of a very old guy over a decade. The guy died and left penthouse to her. She is one of the exceptions of how to get or date into wealth. Despite all money she got, she didn't invest on her. I guess this is her way to annoy those who snubbed her when they learnt she became and owner in the very picky building.

I think a woman should seek a man who is a natural Protector and Provider that makes her feel RICH for being with him. I have had the displeasure of being in relationships where I was pursued by very wealthy men for long periods of time. They too know the value of well-educated women who are accomplished as both sports and professionals. Remember money doesn't give a man class or the ability to leave his emotional baggage at the door. Money allows freedom and invites a plethora of Fake People into your life that simply wants something. If you don't believe me watch a rich man mishandle his finances and become poor again. This is the true litmus test of the person you're dealing with. Just go out and get your own and let them beat down your door.

Be genuine and sincere and look for those same qualities in any man. Don’t try to be someone you’re not…we can improve our manners, appearance and image without compromising our identity. For example, if you’re don’t care for sushi or sports, you can politely decline. 😉
