They will certainly care if convenience of location is a plus for you because if they need someone to come in unscheduled when someone else doesnt show up or calls in sick, you can be there quickly. "I live a little over a mile away, so not only is it convenient to work here, but I can be here within half an hour if you need me unexpectedly " . So it's a good thing to being up if you also actually can work sudden unexpected shifts or come in early without notice.

Edited- Hey guys, I got selected. I got a call from the shop manager the next day itself. They didn't ask me any major questions. What they asked:-Basic questions- Are comfortable for night shifts? Can you lift heavy stuff? You stay a little far from our place, is this convenient for you? Major questions 1) Don't you have any experience in the restaurant( Eventually they found out by looking at my resume that I don't have one), My answer- No I don't have any restaurant experience but I do have experience in a customer-oriented job( Customer support representative) 2) Have you ever tasted wendys? ( As I told them that I have just landed in Canada as an international student), My answer- No, and they literally laughed and advised me to taste it and check their menu. I replied to them that I've already done some research about their menu. So, they asked me another question 3) Why you didn't choose Macdonalds or another fast food for an interview? My answer- You guys are working since 1969, and no organization stays in business for that long period without doing anything right! You guys are popular for your square burgers & for your signature drink, which is frosty, am I right? ( They replied, absolutely!) ME- So your food is quite unique! ( and they were like, yeah absolutely! They kind of liked the way I complimented them). Honesty is the best policy. Answer their every question frankly, and confidently. I hope it will help!

TBH wearing a mask really helped with the process got hired on the same day. I used to feel like I’m being over analyzed so I’ll stumble my words and mess up plus I was there for a good 20min so I was more calm and I was able to be more confident.
