The music that is played when Goose talks with Maverick. This music is similar to the other pieces of music in a sad or dramatic scene in Top Gun. Copyright goes to Harold Faltermeyer. Thanks
Back when I first saw the movie, I was a kid who didn’t know a damn thing about aviation. Today, I’m a grown adult, learning how to fly and playing around in DCS, studying cinema and especially inspired by both Top Gun movies and, remembering and even quoting from this scene to my very best friend and, mutually agreed to be each other’s wingman. A promise well kept since years now.
Beautiful melody, my mother always loved this movie and this song, she even had it as a ringtone on her cell phone, she passed away four years ago, was the greatest love of my life, great woman and mother, she had something that I could learn how to be useful in Life, I love you, Mother, your loving Son ...
I know I'm a little late to the party, but I was kind of made to go watch Top Gun: Maverick when it came out in theaters. I had never seen the first movie. Had no desire to, not my usual cup of tea. I didn't want to admit that I liked TGM, but I felt left out in a sense because I had never seen the original Top Gun. Today, my boyfriend and I sat down and watched it for the first time. I don't usually cry during movies, I can list 3 off the top of my head that actually made me cry. I can add this movie to the list. I cried so hard, not when Goose died, but when Mav hesitated before taking his belongings to Gooses wife. When he turned away from the door and started to cry, I lost it. This movie was so good. I only regret not watching it sooner.
I met this girl a year ago becuase of my ex, and she became like a sister to me. I told her that last week. Because it's true. All my family is either dead or they've abandoned me. So yeah. I promised this little 13 year old I wouldn't let her down. And I'm gonna keep that promise. I'll try harder than Maverick did.
@@Jehandaruwalla he didn’t kill him machan the flat spin did if only ice had given a warning that he was gonna break off maverick wouldnt have had a compressor stall in his F14
I saw this movie a bunch of times growing up but never understand this dialogue between Goose and Mav. Only past a few years I do understand the meaning. When we have something hangin over our head(and inside of our hearts), we often go the "extra mile" or do too much trying to shake off things or prove someone wrong. We actually end making a mistake because we lose our situational awareness. We have to make amends with our own things/ghosts/issues and do what must be done knowing that we can't control everthing.
Harold composed an amazing melody, millions of people identify with it, I am no exception, my story is no different than the hundreds of people who added the entry. . . is the same, I lost a very important person in my life, MOM, unfortunately A MOMENT before her death I was arrested, wrongly, for something I never did, I was detained for over two years, I was released in 2020 due to lack of evidence, I told myself when I look my family in the eye. . . On February 16, 2021 my wife called with the news that my mother died, she was 66 and died on my birthday, I explain it to myself that her heart could not stand the grief over her son. . . I will never forgive myself for the fact that as long as she was alive that I did not talk to her because I was ashamed. . . when I listen to this song, I know that unfortunately she is gone and I feel terrible. . . all those memories. . . I feel like the hero of this movie who loved his co-pilot, I love how I loved my mother and just as no one can give Goos to the main character, and no one can give MY SECOND PILOT to me, rest in peace MOM ....
“You know, when I heard we were going to Top Gun all I could think about was getting that trophy..I gotta be straight with you Mav, right now I just hope we graduate. I got a family to think about I can’t afford to blow this!”
Goose: I gotta be straight with you. Right now I just hope we graduate. I got a family to think about. I can’t afford to blow this. Maverick: Yeah I guess that flyby wasn’t such a hit.
Hey Mav I know it’s tough for you. They wouldn’t let you in the academy cause you’re Duke Mitchell’s kid and you have to live with that reputation. It’s like every time we go up there it’s like your flying against a ghost. It makes me nervous.
That's our job. or.. it's your option lieutenant.... all yours. Sorry to bother you on a Sunday sir but.. thank you very much for yer time. No problem.. good luck.
Almost brings a tear to your eye just the memories of that time in the mid 80's. The 80s molded me. Just hearing this I wish Elon Musk could make a time machine cuz I'd go back in a sec.
Me Lembro TODO MOMENTO ..... DAS PESSOAS QUE Perdi!! MEUS AVOS, MEU TIO! MEUS AMIGOS!!! ESSA Canção RETRATA MINHA VIDA! '' ACHO QUE AINDA ESTOU PERDENDO TEMPO NESSE MUNDO ''
You guys were number two, Cougar was number one. Cougar lost it-turned in his wings. You guys are number one. But you remember one thing: if you screw up, just this much, you'll be flying a cargo plane full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong!
SephTube before I uploaded these tracks, I didn’t realize that they cut short or long. I can splice the beginning of the next track and add it to this one. Can I send you a copy?
