In Mumbai, there are a lot of redevelopment projects going on, and per square foot, the price is more than 55000+, which equals a 200sqft house for around 1.10 cr, and builders build 2 bhk and 3 bhk for between 4 and 9 cr. My question is: who are buying this house, almost all these house builders say that they are sold out. And 2nd question. How this is sustainable? And are people and young generation ready to pay 2.2 crore for400 sq ft, 1 bhk. When will this stop or when can we see reverse trend in price?

I bought a 2BHK in Lucknow at a prime location with all kinds of amenities possible. The possession has been in adjacanet towers and my tower will be ready by next year. The builder has asked almost 90% of the payment in first 2 month. The builder has a good presence in the city and have delivered projects. The builder says that there is a lot of scope for appreciation in the price as the location is prime, mivan construction and very good amenities.

Very informative video, as always. Can you please give some inputs on how redevelopment of large gated societies after say 30-40 years should be assessed. As someone who is buying a house in such societies in Mumbai today, I want to get some sense on long term return on my investment. Also, will help if you can cover how builders may do their assessment before they take up such large redevelopment projects. What factors they take into consideration to make redevelopment profitable for themselves. Thanks.
