Strell dude i want to change my exhaust set up cuz i think it's way too havy(almost 20kgs) i think. But i found that it requires some ecu fuel map changes as well Can you throw some light on this matter.. Will be most helpful in making the decision.
14 Months and 15,000 kms of Dominar 400 ownership. Here are some facts, 1.The bike doesn't feel heavy when it's moving, the tough part is when you park in some inclined spot and have to pull it back using legs. 2.The wheel base is long af, it is what I love and hate about dominar, due to the long wheel base it is stable even at 160, but when you are in stop move traffic and want to squeeze between cars you'll definitely think twice, and also the you'll notice the bike feels heavy again in stop move traffic. 3. The suspension is on the hard side, the seats are a bit hard and firm, these are good if you are on highway, but your ass and spine will feel all the pot holes. bumpy and uneven roads. Maybe it's just me but other dominar owners might agree. 4. Mileage - I am throttle happy person, always shift gears at high rpms, ( my commute includes 20 kms of highway with no traffic signls.) this kind of riding will give you 22-25 kmpl depending on how often you shift gears or how bad the traffic is. On long rides when I am not revving hard( with a pillion), the best I was able to get was 30 kmpl. 5. Service and maintenance - My front brake pads only last for 5k kms, replaced them thrice already. Had to replace front major kit once, chain sprocket lasted 12k kms, tires are due for replacement. 6. Ergonomics - I am 5'11 and the bike is quit comfortable for me, but the foot pegs are wide, the rear brake lever and gear lever keep hitting my legs whenever I have to push the bike in tight spaces, forces me to keep my legs wide apart in stop go traffic.( watch out for those auto drives who just drive over your foot). The pillion seat is not comfortable at all, they have to spread their legs( foot pegs are wide) and sit, this will make their thighs hurt, and seat doesn't do anything for this. Put in some extra money and get those foam gel seats, atleast for the pillion, they will surely appreciate it. If you love travelling and often go on long rides or breakfast rides, go for Dominar, if you want a daily commuting bike, I am sure there are plenty of other bikes which are easy to Live with everyday.
STRELL = DOMINAR Good review and very honest review and quality video But less subscribers = Good stuff in it and way better than RE classic 350 But not selling in good amount Fact : Good things Takes so much time Asap ✌✌🤔🤔
The marketing strategy was not good and it didn’t appeal to the audience then. But now more and more people are attracted to it. I’ve seen many dominars on the road now and I own one too
Bro.. bought my first motorcycle with my own money (been riding my father's and uncles previously, mostly 110 and 125cc)... A 3rd hand D400... Loving it... But government seems to be waiting for me to get a fuel hungry bike all this time... Un sahikkable
i am a dominar owner. It is my first bike and in fact I have learnt riding on dominar. its a great bike for highway n city........if u want only city then go for duke
Strell Bro .... How is Dominar comparable with Mojo? Which one is very good in Mileage and comfortness ?...... How long we can ride without breaks in Mojo and Dominar ?
I own a cbr 250 r, and once i got a test ride of dominar, i realized how well refined CBR250R is... Dominar is vibrating a lot at 4k RPM which is the mostly the usable range of riding.I wont prefer Dominar for long distance touring, the vibrations are going to kill ur enthusiaism for power. On the other hand i feel like floating on air while cruising at triple speeds on CBR 250R.. The refinement of CBR is remarkable...
You are absolutely right brother black alloys suits the bike more than the golden ones. I too own a red dominar and has those gold alloys which I’m looking forward to get painted. Golden alloys looks cheap and steals the overall look of the bike
1000rs pocket money will go into your fuel tank , every other day cash offering has to be done into that hundi . Forget about gifting girlfriend , ul have to borrow money from her.
Keeping in mind that this is a premium motorcycle by bajaj which competes with the 300-400cc segment of motorcycles in the market the service cost is comparatively quite less and also the fuel consumption is affordable enough if we consider the power it has on offer. Afterall one must think about these minor expenses before purchasing a bike and if you can’t even afford to fuel up a bike you must rather opt for a moped or a platina. In such case you won’t have to borrow money from your gf.
Supreeth C.N even with ₹1000 as pocket money you won’t need to shell out all the money as you don’t have to service the bike every month 2nd service of the bike is after 240 days from purchase (8 months) and might cost you around ₹1400-₹1600 which i don’t think is too much even if you keep aside ₹250 per month it makes ₹2000.
Supreeth C.N also the third service is after 120 days from the 2nd service (4 months). This is probably the cheapest in it’s segment in terms of maintenance cost and. As a student one does not have a lot of expenses so this is quite affordable for even a student who gets a pocket money of ₹1000-₹1500 per month you just have to sacrifice some of your wants which according to me is totally worth sacrificing for this machine you will be more than satisfied if you too are a college student like me (I too own a dominar400 2018)
Hi, Strell ! Love your videos on dominor. I have a question for you, if I needed a bike like dominor under 1L which bike shall I go for ? I'm a beginner like I'm making a switch directly from Activa to some bike. Is there any bike like that in that segment ? Or shall I opt for Dominor 400 itself ? I hope you reply.
Is it okay to get a dominar right after learning how to ride on a 100cc or should I opt for something in the 200cc segment and then move up? My main concerns are with the weight of the bike PS- I'm about 5'10 if that helps
Very Well Said... Q&A session video was just perfect... The way you answered all the questions was very nicely.. Thank you for sharing your honest thoughts on Dominar 400...👍👍😃
Hi, have you changed the stock golden alloys to black ones?? Black blends really well ur bike looks awesome man. And the pillion seat rest can you please have a video about the modifications you have made cos the bike really stands out!!
Hi @Strell I ride a ntorq 125 and I'm learning on my friends pulsar 150 is it a good option to go for the d400? Or should I go for another bike? Which one would you suggest? I plan to use it in the city and short rides from Bangalore to Pondicherry etc.
Hey! Just one question: a biker with over 7K on the Dominar (2017) tells me that this is the crappiest gearbox that ever got installed on Bajaj bike. Do you feel the same, Strell?
Should I wait for SS400 or get the Dominar. I want to upgrade from my Aprilia. My main purpose is touring, I want the bike to do off-road and go fast (above 160km/hr). The budget for me is ₹250000. I want to bike to be comfy
Hey Strell, should i go for a used CBR250 or FZ25. My budget is around 1.5L on road bangalore. Usage is mostly city commutes (20 kms daily in bangalore traffic), occasional highway rides (for long drives i take my car), with a pillion. I need a refined, comfortable bike which can cruise at around 100 KMPH and is at ease in traffic with good handling and braking. Would used Mojo fit the bill, or the um commando? I could raise my budget to around 2L if needed. I can wait till Jan 2019. Currently riding a 12 years old Apache 150 with RTR180 engine and parts.
Fz25 is a good choice for city. But not so impressive with braking. Plus, the current version doesnt have ABS. Maybe you could wait a little bit, just to check if Fz comes with ABS in early 2019s.
Mayank Teotia if you are getting a cbr 250r abs 2014 model for less than 90k .. it's a good deal. A 30k ridden with new tyres can be trusted. Go for Japanese motorcycles if you are buying used one.
Abhignyan Nagure thanks, will keep that in mind. Anyways can put on new tyres for the cbr since i would be having money left. A bike with low kms run could also mean it has been standing for quite some time, i wouldn't mind a decently run motorcycle provided it has been taken care of.
Mayank Teotia Instead, why not go for an RTR200 with ABS and a slipper clutch? Can go at 90-100 with some steam left in the tank, good mid range for city and normal use, ABS has got your back, and slipper clutch makes for a very light clutch lever.
Hi sir! I am highly confused between two bikes " RE classic 350 and the Dominar 400" I wanna buy Dominar but i am scared about its overall build quality (coz its bajaj) and bcoz it has such a low mileage of 20-22 (whereas RE 350 gives around 40 and has a better build quality) On the other hand i feel RE350 has a good build quality and is a time tested vehicle but is missing out on major advanced feature like (projector lamps and Abs). Please clear out my confusion...bcoz price is not an issue but Value for money is!
If you want a long lasting bike go for RE (price payable for emotions) or if you want a Reliable bike for 5 to 8 years it is Dominar (price payable for features) but throw it away afterwards because you are done with a Bajaj bike.....Both bikes are good Indian bikes.
Hi strell, i own a dominar 400 2018 edition. Recently i heard a new uodate from TVS guys that rr310 uses twin spark spark plugs for better fuel efficency. My question is is it good to replace those twin headed spark plug (bosch) in dominar 400 2018 edition. Or is it comoatible with dominar? Will this replacement gain any good to milage or bhp?
Is there any leak from Cylinder Head Gasket? Because Reving at high rpm most bajaj bikes cylinder head leaked. I dont know much about dominar. But all other bikes like RS200 etc cylinder head gasket is damged in 6 to 8 month ?
Your choice in dominar vs duke 250 if it come in abs . Use mostly for commuting to college in city. Price is not a bar . And i have a height of 6'3" . Plz reply
Hello how are you ? Well I have been watching your videos from last 2 days ,and we'll let me tell you that you speak very well ,good going but please wanted your help idea that I am planing to buy a bike and options are dominar,Duke 390 or tvs 310rr please help me what to get thank you
brother please explain me y rev limit for dominar is set to 9k rpm .....can we change it to 10.5k(so that we can get much more better performance! ) and also 10.5k is the common thing for every indian bike!!
lol.. I do not have any share in Ford but I still say good about them to everyone.. coz I own one! you don't have to "own shares" to support your decisions!
My primary bike is 125 cc if I upgrade that bike in Apache RR 310. Can I face some kind of proble ? To handle that bike I love that bike but Mujhe Thoda Sa dar lagta hai ...
Won't be a prob bro ... Coz I m jst 18 ... Nd I upgraded to RR 310 straight from a splendor nd still had no issues with it ... Bt u hav to be sane enough to not open the throttle in city limits quite often. ✌️
i watched nd got it m8 i just now bought d400 matte black after watching ur mileage review nd also ur other d400 review ur reviews are cut nd clear Hope u reach high levels P.S I wanted the white d400 but bajaj stopped
I had one doubt. First i decided to buy r15 v3 Then i changed to Apache rtr 200 4v Then now i like to buy dominor Its confusing Which bike i can buy Apache 200 or r15 v3 or dominor
Strell 🔥💕. Can imagine you as a big youtuber real soon man. Please be the same. Your simplicity, i love that bro. We love you and obvio your content also. Also please start talking to us in front of the cam buddy. Much love 💕
I regret buying a naked gixxer, should have gone with ns 200. And guess what I haven't even completed 1000 kms yet. Reason - lack of power even at 5-7k rmp, it just lacks power. Yes, it's in run in period I know and the manual said I can rev upto 7k rpm after 750kms.
Build Quality & Service Quality..? Long term expenses? I've owned a Bajaj Avenger now since 6years. During the course I've realised how bad the build quality is. The service in Bajaj showrooms is even pathetic. They are only looking for money(specially after the free services).
