No Garbage dumb stars from Galaxy 1? I am surprised that it got beaten by Spring Mario. Sure Spring Mario is like playing as Rabbit with ADHD, but at least you have some kind of control. The garbage stars from battle rock and Dreadnought are almost entirely luck based and even one of the game developers themselves came out said they even regretted making it.

I think I might be the only person on the planet who hates the Lightning in Mario Kart more than the Blue Shell. At least with the Blue Shell, there are multiple ways to avoid it, whether it be a Super Horn or clever timing of a speed boost. The Lightning? You basically need some sort of invincibility item, which are hard to come across. Not to mention, the Blue Shell only hits 1st place and anyone caught in the radius. The Lightning hits EVERYONE ahead of whoever used it. I don't know about you, but the Lightning is way worse in my opinion.

Surprised blue coins from Sunshine didn't make the list.

Blue Shells are the cheapest, most infuriating, and unnecessary item to ever be put in Mario Kart. It wouldn't be as bad if the AI didn't rubber-band so illogically and always get what they need when they need it.

What about The Shadow Queen from The Thousand Year Door? She probably has the longest cut-scene before her fight, which you had to watch. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Not to mention that her fight is STUPIDLY DIFFICULT. The rest of the game was sorta tame with some hard sections, but her difficulty spike is insane, or at least it was to me.

Cackletta's Soul 1HP: Can be circumvented if you use a Max Nut right at the first turn.

I loved finding the Green Stars, I found it interesting, it forced you to stop and look around the awesome environments of Mario Galaxy 2.

I always really liked the green stars. It felt like a giant scavenger hunt, and it was cool seeing the game essentially encourage you to break it to get certain stars :)

I just realized that Cackletta's Soul's Eyes move up and down to tell you when her arms come down. This changes everything!

What makes the Blue Shell especially evil is that if you were in first when it was fired, it will still go after you even if you drop from first. Also, even though it might just be me, I've noticed CPUs only get Blue Shells in Mario Kart 7 when I (the player) am in first. Even when I play with my brother, the Blue Shell only shows up when I'm in first for more than about five seconds.

How the hell did you not pick the toxic river from Mario sunshine that you have to carry yoshi on boats for like FIFTEEN MINUTES just to get ONE shot at it?! Come on!

The worst thing about bloopers is their unusual movement pattern and insistence on following the player around. It makes them hard to take out even above water. And of course, underwater they can't be killed by landing on them, so if you don't have a fire flower or similar they're effectively invincible. Bloopers in large numbers are the absolute worst, since if there is a pattern to how to get past them it's damn near impossible to spot. Something I've learned from Super Mario Maker: Bloopers, Hammer Bros., and Magikoopas are to be used in moderation.

This wasn't mentioned about the Cackletta's sould fight so I'll just mention it here: the endgame "ultra" items are OP and you are still allowed to use items against Bowletta's soul, so if you surrvive the initial attack you can just use those items and you'll have full health again.

I disagree with number 8 because you just need a healing item and 99% of people stock up on items before the final boss

I LOVED the Cackletta battle! That 1 HP thing was crazy! And since it was mixed with DAT music, DAT scenario, DAT boss, I could really feel the anxiety of the brothers in that moment. It was a clever and original touch if you ask me.

With number 1, it is possible to completely avoid blue shells without any items\boosts. Its called falling off the map and having the blue shell go around the entire map again at the end of the third lap so you still don't get hit while in control and get first place. Really difficult to do, but possible.

(Spoilers for number 1) Ok...that's it...I'm tired of everyone saying that the blue shell is the worst thing in mario kart...because it just isn't The blue shell is there to keep balance in the race, if someone is miles ahead of everyone in first place, a blue shell can make it so other at least have a chance. Sure getting hit by it is annoying but seeing one go by you or you throwing one give a sort of feeling of "hey maybe I can turn this around" No...the worst thing in mario jar tin my opinion is the god damn lightning bolt It's like the blue shell except to EVERYONE ('cept for the one who used it) and it kills the flow of the game for everyone and honestly I don't get why more people don't hate that rather than the blue shell...I mean at least the blue shell looks cool and only effects one person who is winning, rather than a boaring lightning bolt that effect everyone in arguably the same way...

Basically, Blue Shell OP, Please Remove. Don't even Nerf, just straight up GET RID OF IT (caps because RU-vid Comments lack italics). The day that happens will be one of, if not the, greatest day in gaming history. Do not give luck power over humanity. Luck WILL screw you over. Like the Blue Shell, there's no escape from that fate if you give it the chance.

The Spring mario was super cool. The levels it was included in at least for me were open enough for me to almost never die. Also, its fun to jump as high as a rocket flys.

Whenever I see someone has a blue shell, I wait until it disappears from the item catalog, and move to second place. The person who goes in front of me will get rekt by the shell while drive away, unscathed.

Note for the pachinko machine go to the back of it and get the red coins at the lower section. Makes it alot easier. You need the hover nozzle for it though.

Honestly, I think the Green Stars are one of the best parts of Galaxy 2. They just don't feel like padding, even if they were, because they encourage you to explore the levels, which are undoubtedly some of the most creatively designed areas in the whole Mario series. A lot of people put 64 above Galaxy because Galaxy was "too linear" and I do somewhat agree that both Galaxies are somewhat linear. But adding Green Stars to Galaxy 2 actually adds value to exploring the galaxies that is more than just "the levels are cool". (even though they are amazing). Hell, even the placements of (some of) the Green Stars are creative. Like Shiverburn Galaxy Green Star 1, it's located on top of an erupting volcano that you have to freeze and then use Cloud Mario to get to.

The Blue Shell is fine. Seriously. You know what's not fine? The fact that the way items are balanced makes the game more or less entirely luck based. You can bet money that the majority of the time, if one thing hits you, multiple things will hit you.

Bowser's inside story is the best game (in M&L). In my opinion.

what i find to be the trick to being in first with a blue shell is to be SO FAR AHEAD of everybody else that the delay caused by the blue shell doesn't matter and they still can't catch up to you

The question "Can you really call it a bonus?" reminds me of an incident from tenth grade. For some reason a different teacher took over my social studies class. She was probably a student teacher since where I'm from it's common for student teachers to sit in on or even take over classes toward the end of the year. She wasn't great. It's not that she was mean; she just didn't consider the effects of her actions and words. For instance, she would display something on the projector (This was the late 1990s) so we could take notes and tell us to give a thumbs up when we were done writing. However, she'd wouldn't wait until we gave the signal, instead waiting a few seconds before removing the page, meaning our notes were just partly written. One day she instructed us to write some report and noted it was extra credit. "Extra credit" is used to refer to optional work that a student can turn in (with previous approval from the teacher) to get extra point towards their grade. I asked, "So we don't have to do it?" and she replied, "No, you do." She had given us a regular assignment and called it extra credit to make it seem better than it was. So many students had issues with her that the original teacher had to come back and finish the year.

Number 8 is just pointless complaining. EVERY RPG game where the final boss has multiple forms, if you die and there's no retry button, you will have to refight every form. Starting at 1 HP is lame though.

Best moment in Mario kart is getting hit by a blue shell, but being so far ahead that it doesn't matter

Spring Mario is my favorite power up.....it makes the movement more challenging and changes the pace up to be more interesting.

When in 1st place on Mario Kart, if I see that someone has a blue shell on the minimap, I troll the person in 2nd place if they're close enough, and I drive backwards so they get hit instead. Then, I take back the lead.

Hey rabbidluigi, time for some history. In the original Mario Kart, the game would lag if all racers were on screen doing things. So, to prevent this, the blue shell was added to stop all racers in it's way while trying to get the person in first place.
