This is a good reminder on what to support FY1s on - but also man I wish I had watched something like this before I was an FY1 because I didn’t realise things like, pharmacy has to review and dispense TTOs, and actioning bloods results, and all those things. Really good tips.

@@doctortosin how to get placement or work experience with the nhs during the summer? I am an international medical student and i would love to get hands on experience in the nhs before i graduate. Also another video could be, what books to buy as an fy1 and what are the difficulties you’ve come across ? Loving your channel 😊

Starting my first NHS job soon and this has been helpful , thanks ! P.s. I want to ask how do you navigate your notes to-dos etc while working in a&e ? Like should I use pen paper or a tablet ?

Heya, congratulations on finishing medical school! You have some really exciting times ahead. I would suggest making your to do list on piece of paper as it’s very easy to misplace your tablet and get it lost or stolen.

In my experience the majority of nurses are amazing and willing to help you as much as they can esp when your new. But things can change doe if you get on their wrong side
