By God those animations and physics in the battlemap are dreadful. And the unit blobs clashing like disjointed ants? I thought after 5 years we were past this.

untortunately Rome and Attila have physics/mass/impact issue. Thanks for fixing that in Warhammer series. Please make sure the new historical series follow Warhammer code

Campaign map looks nice, the battles look pants though with groups of people just milling around as they get charged. Seen better organised fights at a Leeds United football match.

The game is kinda great the textures and the coloring and technology’s are great but battle they need to fix it or it will be like TWR 2

looks good so far, but please do something about these blobs of units just pushing each other around. That already was terrible in Rome 2. I think the beast combat was in Shogun 2, i really enjoyed watchin the samurai etc fight, the arrows hitting people and stuff. That really looked amazing. If you manage to do the same thing with thrones of britannia, you got a really good game

Are all enemy generals "foolhardy" or is the battle AI just bad?

This is the reason i'm buying this!I always play as Wales in games like CK2,EU4 and total war.I don't know why,but i think they are interesting i even know welsh history better then my own countries history.

Damn shame... the campaign looks great and the music sounds great... those battle though, leave so much to be desired. It just looks so dated.

its like step back from warhammer, attila had messy animations, tw warhammer was perfect so that level of quality i expected from TO Britania but its like Attila 2 - same animations, same bugs :(

What is the difficulty on changing the unit blobbing? In Total War Arena you have awesome unit collisions (a bit too much) and the units blob up a lot less than this. If they don't change it, definitely going to skip out on this one.

should have used the Warhammer engine, Calvary in this game/engine just collide with 0 impact like TW games from early 2000

The campaign looks good. The battles not so much they look exactly like attila's. If they tried to emulate shogun 2 would be better. One example from attila that is already happening in this game is when two units are fighting each other but for some reason the units in the back of each unit are just standing in a non-combat pose...

Congrats for the work, it seems to look great. The campaign map is very beautiful, as the ambiant in general. Artistically it's also very good, good effort for the interface, panels and stuff. The only point on which i'm a bit perplex, is the battles. It look weird at some point.. like if the physics of the units wasn't realistic. But keep doing your work, we'll see !

TO be honest, historically the scale of battle at the age was like villages fight, and such scale can be performed in this game, and, personally , expect mods and more mods~

Why do enemies accept to be your vassals so easily? Come on, Mierce had the same power than the player.

Can anyone tell me whether this one runs on Attila engine or Warhammer engine?

The one thing I would like in a new Total War game a new special unit, like spies and the scientists we had in Napoleon TW, but it would be a diplomat. The diplomat would a unit you could sent into another nation's city and you could improve relations, increase the chances of trade agreements, demand, military alliances, or more importantly stage a uprising. They could still be assassinated by spy, which could stop a rebel happening from a city.

This video reminded me why I was furious about Rome II

CA talking about Playing Tall. What is this, vanilla total wars are always pure map painters. They actually letting this game be your baby Jack? If so, good to see you've transitioned now from modder to talking head to actually being able to develope a total war game and bring in some of the better ideas modders have had for two decades over the ideas of CA. (Campaign wise this already looks like a more satisfying blend of Paradox and Creative Assembly which is good considering how much character has been lost since the warscape transition)

7:40 Again generals charge first into battle and dies like in Shogun 2? 4:00 I don't understand, enemy attack forces that are in the village, yet when battle started you have to march your own troops into it? Well, aren't they suppose to be in this Village already and prepared for assault?

Man I wish TCA would make a game with a focus on the landscape instead of grand strategy RTS because man I would MUCH rather be looking at the scenery than watching numbers go up and interacting with UI for 95% of the game time.

I think the kingdom was, and still is, spelt Gwynedd rather than Gwined. Looking forward to the game's release though!
