personally i see that as amazing cuz it emphasizes on the heart of a game if the boomer feels robbed well as they used to say git gud idk where people got the idea in they heads where if you spent 7 hours wasting your life infront of a screen you're entitled to win or some shit

how is it toxic? imagine you find the best way to win the game and they call you a cheater when youre just playing the game. There isnt a "right" way to play the game, you can do whatever you want. the creators are the ones who made the game this way. imagine creating a game and the best way to win in it is by spamming a single attack lol.

As someone who doesn't play fighting games I'm still floored to learn that their are two different "Totsugeki" moves. I literally cannot tell them apart.
He only used the light dolphin here. It's quick to start up, but you can punish her with a combo if you block it. The heavy dolphin is recognizable because it takes the dolphin way longer to pop out of the ground then dash forward, but May maintains the advantage if you block it. In the heat of the moment it can be tough to react to the correct one, but it gets a lot easier if you play May for a bit and see it for yourself. That being said tho, I can see how it'd be tough to tell if you haven't played the game, since the animation is similar, just the speed is different.
I would like everyone to know that (currently) the #1 ranked guy on the leaderboards is named totsugeki, idk if it's the same person but I wouldn't be surprised if it is
The thing I like the most about this is that how after the first attack with the dolphin in which she says "Totsugeki!", when she is doing the second one after the first one was blocked - she even more persistently says "Totsugekiiii!!!". Like "I said I TOTSUGEKIIII you, you shrimp!" And I'm not playing this game. It's just funny.
This is like your first challenge as a fighting game player. Dealing with a character who has a reliable move that they can spam. It's like a rite of passage.
and I love it for that too, mays dolphin is such a good noobkiller because the counterplay is so trivial that anyone can figure it out and feel like a god for punishing it man I love fighting games
