Thanks for enlightening me on the whole touring business. One day I hope to be in a sucessful deathcoreish band such as yourself, keep doing what you're doing Phil.
Hey Phil, (Great video btw) it would be awesome if you did a video for local bands, like how to get into the industry, advice for getting a record deal, where and how to start, what to expect when starting out, etc... That would be awesome!
hey phillybo your a beast. i was fortunate enough to meet you and the rest of the band in boise at mayhem fest. you guys blew my mind epic work.. ive drove to spokane twice since then to see you with hatebreed and emmure. was hopin you could do a video of like your top ten venues you've played and or crazy moments on stage. thanks again keep rockin!!
I've been listening to your music for a long ass time and found your RU-vid channel today. I'm surprised how much I have in common with you. I agree with basically everything you said about touring. I filled in for a band called Impurity Of Mriya and we shared a bus with a band called Consumed By Silence. We made less then $5 bucks per person to say the least. But it was fucking awesome. Also I love that you are a gamer and that tattoo of your moon gave me an idea for a filler for my sleeve.
I met you in Michigan at the Dead Throne tour, and I have a few videos of you guys there. You guys were sick and I'm stoked to sub to your gaming channel. I'm hoping to start a band soon, I've played guitar for 11 years now and I'm taking your advice to heart. Go check out the video of you guys if you want, it's good quality. You're a cool dude and keep up the videos man.
I'm in a band currently and wanna tour or some shit like that and this vid really helps me a lot! P.S by listening to Phil's voice auto-tuned,I can tell he can really sing(Even without autotune)!Phil dude,I suggest making normal metalcore with both clean vocals and unclean vocals rather than deathcore!Cheers.!:3
I would say do a video on what OTHER stuff you needed to purchase for the band, lights, people, sound guy, the band van, voting from the van mailbox (TBDM reference)...etc.
Fucked and left for DEAD! Shirts now!!! Keep it up. You guys haven't changed at all. That's why I keep listening to the music. You still sound the same as the first album.
Your best show ever or your favorite place to play shows. And the reasons behind songs I would like to know what inspired section 8 your awesome dude and you give people like me hope of doing something big with my life
Taking a little from TeriblyDisturbeds idea, I think you should have a playlist of videos where you go in depth about the meaning of specific songs from your albums. I always find myself interpreting your lyrics one way, then hearing it again, and thinking of a different meaning. Just a thought.
That autotune, haha! But seriously, thanks for the advice! I'd love to hear more about tour life, those kind of struggles or anything related to that. Keep it up!
I think a good topic would be dealing with haters/people who dislike your band, what to say to them, what to avoid and how to take hecklers at gigs etc. (not but it's happened to me, but it's a bit of a fear)
You used to detail cars? Do you have any interest in cars (or even driving games? That could be an interesting change of pace from CoD) Metal Music and Cars is pretty much my life haha. Keep up with the good content!
Phil, the KSG shoots a slug shell. Meaning its not buckshot(multiple pellets) its actually one big ass slug of lead shooting straight. Works the same way in real life ;)
Phil will you please just humor us battlefield guys. I've seen you 9 times so like if one buck of that could go to JUST ONE night of battlefield for one night. If not its cool your busy I get it. I've gained back alot of respect for you since watching these videos and just actually hanging out with bands and getting to actually know them instead of those pictures everyone gets, you guys boo, asp youre all just normal dudes and I cant wait to hang again next time you come to kansas brah! peace
Can you please do a video on starting a band and how to deal with like people that are leaving and such and finding new members? I've been in 2 bands and i want to hear major advice from someone i look up to
I would like to know how you formed your band like how did you guys meet? How did you all decide on a style of metal to perform? Where did you get the inspiration for your lyrics? Advice for people if they want to start up a band but don't have any friends with musical talent :/
He phill. Would you guys ever do warped tour again? Ive hered around that you guys didn't enjoy it bc of all the scene kids. I saw you guys wen u came to tampa on the tour and ive been following you guys sence the beginning and I still am. You guys inspire my guitar riffs as well. Also what wat yer relationship with mitch lucker and the other guys in SS. There a group ive been following sence their baby days as well.
Hey Phil is there anywhere I can find this remix of Dead Silence used in this video? It sounds really cool. And for a topic of discussion request: What has been your main motivation that has kept you going throughout your entire career?
Hey Phil would you guys do warped tour again? Ive hered talk that you guys did not enjoy it bc of all tue scene kids but I saw u guys on it here in tampa and I no what people mean wen warped is full of scene kids. And knowing that u and impending doom are good friends would u and brook ever do guest vocals for one another? Would u like to do another American headliner with them?
i just had a question that built kind of off of the touring subject. Did you have jobs inbetween tours? did u ever have a job that worked with your touring schedule? like when u got back you could continue working there?
Dude i love whitechapel and i have been listening to them for a while. And if you dont know them, check out the band Chelsea Grin... Please they are bad ass!
how long were you touring before you got signed? or when was it that you finally felt like you accomplished what you set out to do as a band, or have you?
