The signs next to the corn fields are for test plots comparing different hybrid varieties in the same field. They'll harvest the sections separately and compare yield, test weight, etc.
I think that they can tell the difference between a guy wanting to buy one or not. If u don’t know what it is why would they want to waist their time so u. Can shoot a video
Stan, your are right about the corn 🌽 signs. There are so so many different numbers. Thanks for taking us to the farm show. I have gone to a lot of farm shows. Only one show had a crop duster plane. You would think someone would bring one just to show what they can do. Farming would be lost without them. Great to walk around with you. Yes more show videos. Thanks
Thank you for showing us the farm equipment, me I just enjoy looking at and playing with machinery, so whatever you film I watch, just because I enjoy it all.
Probably already answered but the first unit is a chisel plow beside a disc harrows. Dirt perfect bought one of the Thunder Creek fuel/service units and has a video where he tours the factory. It's family owned and run. I'm one of those guys that isn't in the industry but always had a love of equipment. Thanks for taking me along. Be eternally blessed.
Funny how that Altoz guy mentioned mowing a steep slope at the lake house. Hmmmmmm...and yes, I for one, really enjoy your coverage of tool shows, mower shows, they are things not available to me in my area. Great job!
I really enjoy your trips to trade / equipment shows. I work for a water utility and seeing equipment new to me is very interesting. Thanks from Atlantic Canada.
Stan, thanks for yet another great video. I love hearing you reminisce about your father and the found memories you have of him. I hope to leave the same impressions on my two boys, and your videos are a part of that. My youngest (9 yrs old) loves watching them with me. He’s really into the equipment and says he wants to be an Equipment Operator when he grows 👍
I work in the manure pumping industry. Many different styles of boats and pumps. I actually lived on a farm near Watson, mn that held one of the first farm fests or show in area..
My uncle used to take my brother and me when we were teenagers, got us off the slave labor camp (ie. "dairy farm") for a few hours each year. Moved far away, and had a great time going with you!
Always been fascinated by equipment big, small and everything in between. Watching them work by skilled operators is awesome. In my perfect world I would look at the equipment before use, watch during use, and then look at after use. And if the world was absolutely perfect “try” to operate it! Thanks for the video!
That was cool. I love looking at machines and hearing about what they do. I remember riding on the tractor as a kid when we would visit family. They had nothing like those machines back then. 😂 Another awesome video. Thank you. 😊🙏
Yes we want to see the National Hardware show. This was a very good video Stan the Man. I like and really enjoy your video's. would like to see some more mowing or even tilling video's of lawn's or lake front properties
Great vid! Now your playin in my neck of the woods. FarmFest is a real big deal round these parts! Thank you for featuring something in greater Minnesota. Sadly we've lost the best show we had in my opinion (the inventors congress) I'm sure you would have really got off on that show. There ya got the chance to actually see the stuff BEFORE it ever even got to market period! That was really fun!! I would love to see you visit the threshing show in Hanley Falls Mn sometime. All kinds of very cool old stuff there like a mass produced tractor that ya actually started with a shotgun shell! Not to mention quite a bit of old lumber and wood processing machinery like my 31 Chevy sawtruck that used to serve the community custom cutting firewood for folks. YES, it still runs and cuts wood to this very day!
Stan, on the 17th 18th or 19th, stop on your way to or from your lake place, at Albany and take in the farm show that relates to how things used to be done :) Lotsa equipment there too...
Thanks for taking us along Stan. That was the best farm equipment trade show that I've ever seen. Admittedly, it's the only one that I've ever seen. I like trade shows.
I really like when you go to the show's because it gives me and other people who are from parts of the country that are left out, I'm in eastern Kentucky and just starting a contracting company most of the time I can't afford to take the time off to go, you Sir show us stuff that we other wise would not know about. And I would really like to see video from the hardware event you mentioned that you (might) go to. Thank you Sir, for all the great videos.
Stan. This weekend I was finally able to get up to my cabin and take a good look at the driveway and I definitely over sold how bad it is. I thought it would be terrible but since there was no rain this year all the driving on it has helped it not be so bad. Also I totally thought the rocks were bigger but after I went rock picking I saw that most of them were a little bigger than my hand but there is a few big ones but not the size you probably want. Sorry about getting you super excited to come out. But maybe if I can still convince my dad (who is way easier to convince than my grandma) then maybe you can come shoot a video or two with my tractor if you want. Anti was super excited to finally get up north and I spent 99% of my time on the tractor doing things like grading out an old barn pad to mowing a field in three hours. I also found out that the tractor makes a great bulldozer for making trails to deer stands. Hope you had a great Labor Day Stan.
Hey hey Stan, i gotta say, that five part series was amazing,so much brush removing destruction, the Labor Day eekend was great, and today we had burgers, and hotdogs, so good. Tomorrow is my fist day of school. Gonna be a good day i hope, after school, i go to my grandfathers, and we will be eating tortellini Alfredo with grilled chicken, and fresh homemade salad and garlic bread.and after dinner we will go to the farm, i am bring my trimmer, i am gonna b i the garden knocking down tall weeds. They have grown so much cause of all that we have had to do in order for it to be ready by the end of September to sell.i tried a gas trimmer, but i was not to impressed, the weeds were thick n tall, not a problem for my Ego string trimmer, it chewed thru thicker stuff than that. And on top of that, the gas trimmer is stihl too. So hey, can we say that EGO trimmers are comparable to grass and Exceed it in some cases. Then Wednesday i go and get a hair cut. And tonight, after i finish this video. My dad and i are gonna watch the hit and bodyguard wife movie. I hope it will be good. So stan, i hope your week goes awesome, you have a blessed night, and i will talk to you on Wednesday again, oh stan, i almost forgot, your package should be at your house by Thursday, but they say their may be a delay. But i am hoping Thursday, you have a awesome night, god bless and go get em, your buddy and friend, Alexander Costa
Looking forward to getting the goodies your sednign my way. Thank you very much. I watched that movie the hitmans bodybguards wife. Ryan Reynolds is a blast. But his best roile yet is as deadpool. Nothing compares to that.
yes the brand of seed being tested/monitored compared is labeled on the sign and each bag is one of the numbers for what batch of what seed. millennial farmer up in lowry can detail this for you most succinctly on all the specifics. all these years i've never heard of farmfest, my grandparents always toured stuff at the state fair or at the minneapolis-moline plant or their neighbors equipment, lol. i'm gonna have to check this out next year!
Hey brother, I enjoy your passion and these type videos where you check out all types of machines, equipment and tools. Also enjoy watching your crew do their thing and the pride they take in their work and the great job you guys do! God bless you as well!
Stan of course we love all types of equipment the only problem is that I usually end up buying something it’s easier to watch you walk around doesn’t cost me anything but I get to see cool new equipment 👍
Hey Stan! I love the equipment shows and different vehicle shows. Hoping you get a chance to "test" ride that rough cut mower that we saw near the end. If it can stand up to what you put out, then they can boast their claims. Thanks Stan!
Fencetech, February 15 to 18 2022. Love any trade shows you attend, always have a notepad ready to write down companies to check out. I run a agricultural and residential fence company and also have a farm and livestock equipment company. Always looking for new things sell to my customers 👍
Trust me Stan you do get the idea that you could crawl over and crush cars with those big tractors. Was driving one for a friend 3 weeks back. Cool of you to not brush of the farm boys. Good work mate. Aussie Jeff Moore
I hit "like"...waiting for cake and ice cream! LOL. Awesome video, Stan. I've been to the Southern Farm Show quite a few times , which takes place here in NC where I live. Raleigh to be exact. Great show for this region. And put me down as a yes for the National Hardware Show. Sounds like my kind of show as well. And hey, hope to run into you next month at GIE!
That would be Awesome to see the new thing hardware and even some older that has been updated. Also this cool to see new thing from farm fest. Thank you for showing. I will continue to watch.
Stan with that Can-Am you could start doing your own Sidewalks and push out parking spots with less worry of smoking a car. Of course I think the Bobcat Toolcat would be a better option for doing sidewalks.
Welker Farms have bigger IH combines then what you showed, they run 8230’s or at least one 8230. They do a lot of field fixes on those combines. They also have some awesome Big Bud tractors on their farm, like that green Steiger you showed
I was at farm fest a couple years ago when we were working in redwood falls!!! loved it!!! got the discount red wing boots for 69.99 twas a great time!!! glade to see its still the same after covid and stuff!!! o and also another great video stan!!
The Pressure washer guy was the only one who could have sold me something. He knew his products, and it didn't matter what your question was he was happy to answer them, all the others were nice enough but i feel like they weren't prepared. The Trenching guys acted like talking to you about the machine was an inconvience. And to answer your question at the beginning of the video, yes the number on the signs show the different variety of crop planted
Moultrie, Georgia has the Sunbelt Agricultural Exposition taking place October 19-21. My father has been an exhibitor there for over 30 years. There's lots of things to see there, with static displays, and lots of things I'm sure you haven't seen in MN. Plus you'd get to get some real food if you venture into the South. We'd welcome you with open arms :D
Heck yea we like shows like that, we get to see all the new tech coming out & probably best of all we get to see all them hot looking cowgirls running around lol. Another great video bud
Good and interesting Video , in fact most of your content is great …Love the Snow stuff as I grit and load for our local county council here in the S.E of the UK using a MANITOU 732 telehandler …and ECON gritting equipment . Just wish we had more snow here LOL ..
A very informative and enjoyable video showing the some of the best American manufactured farming kit, not sure if we have kit that big in the U/K Best regards from the U/K.
Dude....yeah, I know, hehe....I am REALLY liking these videos of things I will NEVER ever see or use. I love learning new things and seeing what others use and how serious the tech is and the amount of work these machines do is just mind blowing. And yes, I have NEVER ever thought about trenching anything....and yes, I'm going to go watch a trenching video with that machine you showed us. Who knows, you may just inspire someone to change professions or inspire someone to find a line of work they hadn't previously done. I hope you do more of these; I'm really enjoying them more than I should.
