Scream “5” and “6” aren’t canon imo! And I only own 1-4 on dvd! I will never buy “5” and “6” and despite Sidney coming back I’m on the fence with “7” because they probably won’t be getting rid of continuity and thus only Neve and Courtney will be allowed to come back and not David. And I could care less about Patrick Dempsey especially since he was just in Thanksgiving as a similar cop character and also we haven’t seen his character Mark since Scream 3 and he’s a blank slate whereas Dewey was fleshed out and a strong male character and they disrespectfully killed him off like he was nothing. So IDK if I’ll watch 7. I’ll cherish the original 4 Wes Craven films but ignore everything else except maybe if they made some new anthology films or tv series, and maybe go back to watching more that original tv series which underrated in comparison to the Spyglass/Radio Silence era crap and was even given Wes’ blessing before he passed.

I’m not interested in Scream 7 despite having Neve coming back. The damage is done with “5” and “6” and they probably aren’t gonna retcon those trash films and so therefore Dewey died for nothing because those Carpenters aren’t coming back.

Dewy will probably come back as a flashback, knowing Neve has a say in the script.
