Toy Review: Star Wars Millennium Falcon/ Power of the Force 1995 

This was one of my favourite toys as a kid, and opening it up on Christmas morning that year is one of my fondest childhood memories. I haven't seen one of these in years, thanks for the rush of nostalgia :)

This and the Slave I shape were my favorite toys as a kid. When I went home for Christmas this past year, I went into the attic and found my old toys. Now my nephew gets to play with these (HE LOVES THEM) when he stays with my parents.

In my opinion, the best Millennium Falcon released is the 2008 Legacy Falcon.

I grew up with the original Millennium Falcon/Star Wars figures and I'm laughing at super buff Luke. XD

This is a much better toy than ones like the Playmates Star Trek: The Next Generation Enterprise-D bridge playset.

Have the 1980 one. I just got the force awakens version.

The memories this brings back!!! I remember the original from the 80's as I was born around the time of Empire Strikes Back and was old enough to remember Return of the Jedi and some of the toys but young enough to not really be all that into it, now re-release of this awesome toy line I was a teenager and absolutely adored Star Wars and wanted this toyset/vehicle so so bad and got it for Christmas of '95 and I remember being annoyed with the stickers as if you made a mistake it was too late as the stickers had great adhesive value to them and messed up the rear engine stickers LOL I remember being pissed off I Couldn't get Chewie and Han in the cockpit at the same time and close the hatch because of the small space it was. I had the falcon sitting on my dresser with my Han Solo with a makeshift white rag in its hand wiping down the falcon with 3po r2 Luke and Ben in a line towards the ramp and Chewie in the cockpit to recreate the Mos Eisley takeoff scene!!! It was a great and awesome toy to have in the collection!!! Great review and thanks for the memories :-)

the classic falcon is 10 times better than the force awaken line falcon!!!! these days they made star wars vehicles, and ships with cheap plastics, and action 3.75 figures were cheaply made with sloppy paint and lacks of articulations. I miss toy line with lots of articulations

The one I have it’s from the 80’s and it doesn’t have the sounds that this one have either way I have happy with it the only thing missing is the ball that hangs for Luke to practice with his light saver

Yeah, you definitely need later,(skinnier) figures to fit in the cockpit.

Updated version of the 79-85 falcon i had

Of course the Millennium Falcon was the best ship ever made for a sci-fi toy line. The 1995 Falcon was certainly a great upgrade from the 1979 Falcon even though the Jedi training ball was missing. The 2004 OTC version was the better upgrade though. The 2008 version is in a class by itself. Both the 1995 and 2004 versions corrected and upgraded some shortcomings from the 1979 version, but I don't understand why the training ball was excluded until the 2008 big Millennium Falcon. The beefed up versions of the characters in the 1995 line were impossible to include in the cockpit. It wasn't designed for the He-Man looking figures.

I recently took the radar dish off mine and cut down the TFA Square dish peg (found the dish at Goodwill) and made it fit on the POTF 2 release So I have a much better TFA Millennium Falcon than was released.

I still have this falcon. Cleaned it up a bit, but there was some broken bits (one of the back legs and door hinge is broken). Lights and sound dont work.

i can confirm the price as $59.99 as i own one with the original box and on the top right corner there is a sticker with the price so very good guess.

You would think it they were going to make a new improved Falcon toy they would make the tips of the guns light up when the ship fired instead of having light up "guns" embedded in the front hull. I never liked the cardboard cutout either. I understand why its there but....meh. I'd rather there actually be an actual tunnel to the cockpit even if its just sculpted plastic.

This toy is one of the greatest but for use with the POTF2 figures it's really lacking, because they are not compatible at all. If you were a kid in 1995-1998 and wanted this toy disappointed. You wanted to fly this with your Han at the controls and Chewie by his side, you were out of luck because Chewie was too tall and Han's dynamic pose meant he couldn't sit in the driver's seat. In fact Hasbro actually released vintage type figures cast from the original vintage ones, specifically to sit in the cockpits, because of the buff muscular bodies of the normal POTF2.

I wanted a Millenium Falcon toy for a long time now and I always was trying to figure out wich one should I buy, the Vintage? Too expensive, the Vintage collection Exclusive? Way too expensive and absolutely huge, Potf2? I think this one's going to be the one.

Nice video, Do the vintage 70s and 80s figures fit on the little standing pegs in the back of the falcon? Or are they for the more modern figures?

I have a question maybe someone could answer for me. Did the 1995 power of the force millennium falcon not come with a Jedi training ball like the original 1979 Kenner toy and maybe the 1982 falcons? I've been trying to research this and I think this is almost my conclusion. I just need someone that truly knows to confirm it lol

How much would these be worth now in reasonable condition? Asking for a friend
