I have a Land cruiser and a few other Toyota's. All of them have done more than 200k kms (I use the LC, wife used Camry and corolla, brother uses vellfire and his wife uses an Innova). These cars are the BEST. Very low maintenance costs, built like a tank, unassuming exteriors, etc.. I like to drive my LC more than my Cayenne S 😄

I just bought a 2019 Toyota Camry LE that I think is one of the most beautiful sedan on the road and one of the best Toyota Camry ever created. the interior of the Camry is well design, spacious and comfortable. The 4 cylinders engine have enough power for the car and the trunk has a lot of space. I bought the Camry because it is one of the most reliable car in the world. It is very interesting how different markets react to different car models. Here Opel Insignia and Ford Mondeo are seen as inferior when compared to Toyota Camry. For the same price you can get VW Passat with a funny 120 hp or Insignia with a 1.5 gasoline engine. The Skoda Superb is good but you can not compare it with the interior quality or engine power of Toyota Camry. At the end of the day for 31,000 euros you get 2.5 hybrid engine, automatic transmission and a fairly good amount of equipment.
@TwentyNinerR
@TwentyNinerR 5 лет назад
A little while ago I tested this gen of Camry and I think Toyota nailed it with the TNGA. There is also a non-hybrid 2.5 L version in other markets like Indonesia, which is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and it's also a nice powertrain

Different regions, different preferences 1. Brits and Europeans who focus more on sportiness, driving dynamics, precision, attention to detail on a car's quality and use of use of its tech. 2. Larger countries like US, Canada Australia, focus on relaxed cruising,long lasting reliable larger cars and SUVs driving neverending miles. 3. For the fast growing billions in south Asia, Middle east and Africa "Reliability" is foremost n paramount and the love of high clearance SUVs across the regions due to broken roads, potholes and torn infrastructure. This region is least interested in two seater, small nippy cars.

Well that is IF you are looking for a car that lasts you for so long. At least as it stands now, 4-6 years is good enough for me (I lease). And in those years I want something that is really good in the short term. Because often, at least in my experience most Toyotas feel less impressive when new than many other cars. Probably because you pay a lot for the Hybrid system and the reliability, but to keep the price low, they usually save money on stuff like interior quality and tech. Besides that, I have driven the new Corolla and It is exactly as Matt says about many Toyotas: Good quality for some parts and bad/questionable quality on others. The Dash and the seats feel really HQ but everything else feels cheaper than a e.g. Ford Focus, Mazda 3 and VW Golf. Also the sound proofing was even worse than on a VW Polo. Not Wind noise but just general sound from road and other vehicles.

There are two seatbelt receptacles for the middle seat; both are required to be fastened on. What you describe is the one without the red button. That is actually removable: there is a small hole on the side that hides a spring loaded button. Any key can press it with ease.

Best Camry for me is the 2010 model, marketed here in Australia as the Toyota Aurion with a 3.5L V6 pumping out 200kw (or 204kw with 95RON). The only exterior modification I made was to purchase 2nd hand Toyota Kluger wheels off eBay and fit it on the car with 235/35R19 rubber. I also have an ML550 which has 285kw and 4matic. Of course the Merc gets off the line quick but once you are rolling, I do believe the Aurion/Camry does pull harder. It is no slouch! I switched the head unit for one of those Android 9-inch head units and I stuck a sim card in it so that it's always connected. Runs Google Maps, RU-vid Music and voice navigation better than any standard car input system I've experienced.

I recently purchased a V6 SL here in Australia brilliant car I have no problems with the centre console lid it is tight as a drum the finish on this car is excellent after 50 years of buying new Holdens I was not at all interested in the Opel built Commodore . Well done to Toyota .This reviewer is very rough the way he handles the car features.

Really like the new Camry. Think it’s a great car. That said, haven’t seen too many around so hope Toyota continue to make it for a while. Do hope it’s also proper family saloon that Toyota used to make as opposed to a lot of cars seemingly for older people.

The middle east is crazy about SUV's too, but Toyota targeted the taxi market of local transport authorities. Believe me, a reputation for reliability and not costing too much in the repair shop goes a long way.
@tirupatisrinivasaatmaraman8454
Actually here in India, the hybrid variant almost has all the features that you've told Matt. But there is one feature missing in the Camry that you're showing. Here, for the back passengers they have a handrest along with some touch screen controls in order the control the rear A/C vents temperature, reclining the back seats individually and also for a shade that automatically raises when given a single touch !!!

Actually , they brought the Toyota Camry in Europe because they cut off production of the Toyota Avensis, which was the Toyota model for this class in Europe. It was easier to just replace it with the US Model.

Europe in general is catastrophically bad if you like cars. Especially Portugal, Netherlands and Scandinavian countries. Let me give you an example. Y'know the Mustang? The eco boost version costs 47k euros in Portugal. In Spain, 43k. The V8 in Spain costs 47k. In Portugal it's 96k. No I didn't miss type that. Compare those prices for everywhere else in the world and you'll see my point

Great review but I don't know if our camry in Saudi arabia is any different than the UK's one because when I put it on sport mode it's night and day difference. I felt there was no response to the the throttle in normal mode like the car was chaining itself and doesn't lidten to my command to go but in sport mode it was unleashed and yes the economy will take a hit but depends on what ya need and it is a nice option.

There is a reason why this car is the best selling mid size sedan in the world. It's the most reliable, very comfortable and practical as well. It's the most engaging to drive cause that isn't its aim. But it is the best at what it is and that's why it is the highest selling globally.
