The Celicas we got here in the states were all front wheel drive so that would be an entirely different beast of a job. The GT-Four that this was done with was all wheel drive.

Celica fit jz engine need quite a lot of modification, you better replace the same engine or swap with 3sgte

So the 3sgte fit whit no problems? i need to go for 4x4 or i will be ok with the front traction? I live in Cyprus mate and all the enginiers over here seems like they have no idea what im talking about

As long as u buy the celica GT4 halfcut (3sgte) and transplant everything will be ok. The only problem is you have to lock the awd gearbox to fwd

@Royale Computing yes it's true. By the time you literally mate up a subaru trans or use the ones that people do with the hilux, the tranny and transfer case will be in the back seat so by that time you might as well built a whole tube chassis and just slap the celica body on it. So literally impossible retaining the actual celica chassis. You'd also have to ditch the fuel tank.

@@xRamRacing it could be possible with toyota 1uz awd oil pan but literally too much work for anyone or anyones wallet.
