The steadfast and true Toyota Hilux has been given a dose of electrification. It's still got the a tried and tested 2.8L turbo diesel but it now comes with 48v mild hybrid support, so it's better on the wallet and better on the environment - we take a closer look.
Thanks for watching, we'd appreciate a like and subscribe.

Toyota isn’t bragging since it’s not really a hybrid it’s just a 48v battery with a dc to dc converter powering the internal electronics and a stop start system.

Appreciate that it's a MHEV but some form of external recognition may have been a good. Calling it a Hybrid on the website seems a bit of an afterthought

Same output of 150kw it doesn’t power the drivetrain all it does is assists with a small boost in obtaining 12kw and 48nm faster.
