I own a Hybrid and driven around 8000km. Every disappointed experience. Here are my major concerns. 1.Poor ergonomics, especially the driver and co driver seats have poor tight support and the brushed aluminum panel in the center console hurts the left knee when you rest in the dead pedal. 2. Paddle shifter is non functional and likewise the manual drive mode. 3. Front design doesn’t narrow down like Crysta, which leaves the front bonnet very broad. This makes front driving judgment very complex. 4. EV mode is an another name sake option. The battery never charges to it full capacity even after driving over 100 kms. Hence EV drive is not of any use even in slow speeds in city traffic. 5. Music system disconnects very often and this seems to be an issue with many other customers as well. Overall, I am surprised with such an sub standard product from Toyota after spending 30 lacs. Also, I doubt many these reviews are promoted and not genuine as some of these basic issues were not highlighted by none of the auto review expert.

I own an Innova HYBRID Hycross VX since last 2 months. Long Journeys in this car have been truly mesmerizing. This is by far the most comfortable 7 seater in Indian market till 40 lakhs on the road. I have driven this car in all possible areas and this machine is a powerful monster. This Hybrid tech is revolutionary. I am getting ample power + a fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl on Highway & 20 kmpl in local. I can proudly say that I made the right decision by rejecting SAFARI and XUV 700 for this true 7-seater from TOYOTA. Toyota has done a wonderful job in giving us comfort (its really a silent car with sofa like seats), power with Chilling AC and fantastic fuel efficiency in 1 vehicle. Such combo is never seen till date in any car so far. Truly a WINNER on cards !

It looks very outdated interior compare to xuv 700 and safari! Road presence is also not up to the mark! The engine didn’t feel powerful compared to xuv or safari! Rest of the things are good in hycross

This car is purely for city purpose, only then you’ll be able to get the desired mileage, otherwise you’ll get the average of a typical petrol car 12-14 on highway and expect 7-8 while driving through the mountain roads because it will run purely on petrol that time and Ofcourse it’s an uphill so you can’t expect to get the mileage from a 2 litre petrol engin. Performance is good, engine is very loud and vocal when you overtake or run at higher speeds, bad quality plastics used, premium touch and feel are missing when you pay so much, toyota being toyota Tyre profile is a bit too tiny when compared to the size of the vehicle Bad cameras, below average infotainment screen. I believe XUV 700 would be a wise decision if you want everything, it’s not as much reliable than a toyota but still xuv 700 is also reliable and it ticks all the boxes Please don’t get offended, just gave you all my observation

Toyota is very kanjoosi.. They always never offer bench seats in the top model.. Our main purpose of buying a car is only for 7 to 8 comfortable seats.. Bench seat has the advantage of 3 in the middle row.. This was even the case with the Crysta, where it didn't get bench seats in the top model, so we had to skip.. Atleast they should give in the Hycross 🙏

Excellent Review, Since you took 7 people onBoard you should have also done the Hill climbing test as well, there is absolutely less Torque.

3rd row of hycross is much better than crysta, hycross has much better legroom and marginally better under thigh support. Your comparison with crysta is absolutely wrong.

Main point is even gx base is too costly 23 lacs otr. If anyone want spacious 7 seater petrol automatic in budget then he can get kia carens prestige plus dct at 18.5 lacs on road. Plus kia carens easy to maneuver in city.

Bhai carrebs top model diesel is lot better than many of its competitors .I paid 20 plus lks and very satisfied with it's performance.

never understood why Toyota doesn't give a 4WD or AWD option with innovas. And they keep saving it for the 'pherchoooner'. Pherchooner is already old and they can't keep milking it. Kanjoos Toyota. Also tired of watching sponsored reviews like this.
