I just installed the PHR solid diff and front ear press in mounts to see if it would help preventing my diff from rattling around. They helped some but I still have some rattling back there. I feel more vibrations from the solid mount but not a big deal. thanks for making this video as it helped me understand the install process.
I think that may have been caused by running the stock rubber on the ears and the urethane on the rear. The reason this happens is because the diff won't load up evenly against the dissimilar mount stiffness. I had a similar issue when I attempted to install a stiff trans mount with stock engine mounts.
how do you only have 6K subs. your a really cool guy. you explain things the way they are, with no lies. that's a upgrade on RU-vid. I just wanted to say I love what you do and I hope you get more support than you have right now, because you deserve it bro. Keep up the great work!
I guess im not the only one mine broke the same way going with the battle version one to just to avoid breaking another set of bushing from figs. Nice supra and very good detail
Sir, how are these solid diff bushings on your car, are you happy with them? is there any louder, any issues so far? I have the same kit to install on mine, maybe I should wait for Giken lsd to arrive and then do the whole process once.
Ryan, can you give me some feedback on your solid mounts? I'm trying to debate between going with the super pro 90 durometer urethane vs the battle version. I'm excited to hear your thoughts on what you like.
Can you mix alu bushings with solid rubber bushings? For example: Battle alu in the subframe and solid rubber in the differential? Happy to get a answer 😊
It has happened many times that why there are Poly , poly/billet and steel replacements. It is not so much your hp but how hard and the manner that you beat on the car. I have replaced several myself(in 2 Supras).
Just curious on your input as far as NVH with the solid diff mounts. My pinion mounts are trashed, have window weld in rears (fronts too, but it didn't help). I ordered the BV solid mounts and am going to window weld fill the subframe mounts. I'm worried I will find too much diff noise or vibration in the chassis.
you wouldn't by chance no the part number for the axle bolts to the diff?.... I recently got that exact diff that didn't come with them. ive been searching for three days an without a supra vin the dealer wont do nothing.
