Great video thanks. The funny thing is the first time that i watched the video while driving (was just listening while it was playing in the background) the video was blank like a black screen and i could jist hear your voice, at first i was tempted to stop listening, but it was a great listen in the end and the best informative video I've seen about the router 👍🏻 Then i checked later when i got home and realised there is a video footage after all when it worked properly 😆

I liked the video. Informative and I brought myself the router because of the great review. No More Netgear router's for me. Three is enough. I can't afford to buy a 400.00 router every four years and then it stop's working

Is the ethernet ports supposed to light up when you’re using it? None of the ethernet ports lights up on mine when I’m using the ports.

Hello thanks great video When I use the smart connection option with 2.5, 5 and 5 for games, when I go to a farther place, I can see that I still have a lot of signal but the internet goes away. For now to solve it I have had to deactivate the smart connection and connect devices separately to 2.5 and 5 and there it works without problems when I change rooms in the house. Do you have any options that could be causing this?

Great review. Thank you! I have one question. Which one is a better value the TP-Link AX11000 at $300, the Asus RT-AX88U at $300, or Asus RT-AX86U at $250? Thanks for anyone helping make my decision.

@@reese373, I didn't get a direct answer. I did find a very good article and website that covers both routers (dongknows.com/wi-fi-routers-compared-tp-link-ax11000-vs-asus-gt-ax11000/ .) I wasn't considering the Asus Rog AX11000 but I believe it is a better router according to the review. In my case, I am happy with my purchase as I bought it for $300 compared to the $450 of the Asus Rog. But if the price would have been the same, I would have gone with Asus,. I hope my comment helps you reach a buying decision.

@@marcocerrato9014 Thanks I'll check the link out. The TP AX11000 is on sale now for $300. Thinking of getting that or the AX86U. Spending 400 for the Asus AX11000 just doesn't feel right lol

I read the review in the link and he often says that the Asus is the better router yet he grades the TP-LINK higher.. Somewhat confusing

can i control who can use more or less speed. (example: i want my pc have the 50% of the router speed and for my brothers pc i want give him 25% only).

Hi @@thibe3579 No, it's down to the package you picked when you signed up with your current ISP. Contact them to see if an upgrade is possible. The AX11000 can handle a 2.5GB Internet connection thanks to the 2.5Gb LAN port so it's more than capable. Cheers, Dave.

Also.. i have a package that says 100 mbps i know thats not for everyone.. but i can do a test that says minimal 61mbps and max 86mbps at my adress.. but sometimes i have 70mbps and then the next month again 50mbps or something. Should i call my isp or is it normal?

@@thibe3579 If you're paying for a 100mb package and not getting it, phone up and ask them to check the line for issues. Explain what's happening about the speed jumping and see what they have to say about it. Dropping to 50mb (half) isn't acceptable in my opinion. Dave

from the US side, our speeds are advertised as theoretical max, which means we are lucky if we see that. The buffer for real speed vs theoretical is roughly 30%. So I have 1 Gbps with a theoretical top end of 970 Mbps, but in all reality I fall any where between a 10 -30% loss in d/l speed. 700 - 930 Mbps. If you have a 100 Mbps plan your expected speeds should be 70+ Mbps. 50Mbps could be an anomaly but if it is persistent, then request service from your ISP.

i got it last week and the speed is really crap, cannot connect to Interned directly using the Router Mode for Orange ( Spain ) and when it's in the AP mode the speed test shows one thing and the actual Downloads are 10x slower. i really thought it will be almost plug and play but this is insane. TpLink doesn't replies on support forums nor on direct twitter messages. all in all nice review but i personally would NEVER recommend this product. considering returning :(

Only idiots would spend so much on a router. There is no reason to spend anything over $100 on a router

Well I can say you say we idiots because you can't afford it. Plus I couldn't find a router for 100 or less to reach anywhere that match my speed I buy from my isp
