Filmed on 26/09/2019. Day four of the North Wales holiday brings us away from North Wales for the day to enter new territory of Shropshire for the day. This is the main gateway station which connects for North & South Wales, Birmingham, Manchester and even to London, Shrewsbury (Season 6 Episode 32)
Shrewsbury has what is the UK's largest signal box which is still in operational use. Decent amount of traffic both passenger and daily freight workings as well. Transport for Wales is the main operator of this station.
This is the variety that was seen during a 90 minutes stint roughly:
Virgin Trains Class 221
Transport For Wales Class 150
Transport For Wales Class 158
Transport For Wales Class 175
West Midlands Railway Class 170

i loved this video. what a 158 on holyhead to llanelli thats booked for a 2 car 175 maybe it failed in holyhead. nice you got the heart of wales 150 service. i loved the tones from 158828 with my favourite 158823 because its a thrashy 158. i saw 158828 in carmarthen today. was this filmed on the 25th or 26s?

Thank you, delighted to hear you've enjoyed watching. It was odd seeing 158's on Holyhead to Llanelli diagrams which is normally a class 175. This was filmed on 26th. Sorry for the mix up but worked on the video before I lost the information. Yeah, something about the 153's in the railways news about them or something. Seems to be regular visitors 150's on Heart Of Wales line recently. Well, all sorts are happening recently with TFW Sprinter units.

@@RickyNowis yeah i enjoyed it. holyhead to llanelli is odd for a 158 indeed. ok 26th. there is plans for 153s to do bleanau to llandudno and wresham to bidston when there new 170s go into service with TFW. yeah lol all sorts is happening with TFW

@@SionsTrainVideos Odd for 153's on Conwy Valley Line. They are on driving training and thought that 150's were working this diagram. Unless the 150's are going for refurbishment and the 153's are in place? Fair enough for 170's on Wrexham to Bidston diagrams, makes sense. However, aren't the 170's going to be working Cheltenham to Maesteg?

@@RickyNowis yes they are first doing cheltenham to maesteg. it is odd for 153s to do conwy valley line. i think they want to put 150s on express runs

@@SionsTrainVideos They do Manchester to Cardiff/Llandudno and some on Cardiff to Crewe. Think its part of refurbishment programme for TFW.

3:33 do services typically run to clarbeston road? Great video

Not 100% sure. It was what was shown on RTT but rare from there. It's normally: Cardiff Central Carmarthen Milford Haven Tenby Pembroke Dock Maesteg It was odd working.

I believe that's the Working from Fishguard Harbour in the morning I thought it does Carmarthen to Fishguard, Fishguard to Clarbeston, Clarbeston to Fishguard then Fishguard to Manchester
