I’ve had this bag for a month now in olive color. I also got trakke’s small, medium and large packing cubes. The large one doesn’t fit with my current carry. So it just stands at the ready. I have to travel with 2 laptops for work so i switched from a filson briefcase. Absolutely love the bag! And yes, the buckles took some getting used to and you do get use to them.

Got this bag recently and have been loving it! One thing I just noticed; it's much easier for me to work the latches going fat-end first. When latching, if you put the fat end through first, then you can use the skinny end to push the entire fat end through first (if that makes sense...). If I start with the skinny end, then the fat-end ends up getting most of the way through but then there's nothing left to push the last bit through, unless you start pulling from the other side. Same for unlatching - fat end first and the rest slides out easy, whereas if I do skinny end first then it's harder to get the fat end to line up right with the rest of the latch. Went back and looked at the official Trakke videos and they do it this way too. Was less intuitive to me but really works better. Give it a try!

Great looking bag. Those metal clips are something I think I could get used to. Still, no mesh or air channels along the back is a drag. Not a deal breaker.... but having a couple daypack/edc bags already AND that one having no mesh or air channel might be. Still, kinda lust after the dry waxed canvas thing. Good talk to close, too, on building a personality with exclusions and then sometimes there being, effectively, a treasure in all that stuff we excluded (even if it looks ugly at first!)

Have you ever thought about an ereader like a Kobo? Theres an interesting argument for them over physical books for the environment, and Kobos are great for renting ebooks from your local library through Overdrive. Also makes packing WAY easier

Bought this bag. Olive color is very dark and not exactly what I wanted. Top flap isn’t wide enough to cover the top opening. Rain can get in this bag. Really like the size and aesthetic and the clips. Only 1 zipper on this bag which I never use. I don’t like zippers. Organization in this bag is great for me.

3:57 I use the metric system so I googled what 5'10'' is in centimeters and got like 155 cm because I entered something wrong. Which would be like child size. So for a second I thought Chase is a dwarf.
