Be careful with Potassium..Some people like myself are very sensitive to it, especially if you have kidney issues. I don't empty Potassium normally and it stores in my system and can cause heart a attack.
@@helenbrooks4787 That is beginning to change. I just picked up a bottle and after dumping water like crazy, I checked the dose. I was shocked to see that those little pills were 550s. Also, you can buy loose powder. I've never done it because I only seem to need 400mg give or take. And I only take it when I feel I need it, which is usually when I've been sweating excessively. I am 72 yr young women I got off all medications 20 years ago I take good vitamins liver pills , omega, dk2 , B Complex a good C (not citric acid) Choline. Feel like 35 Oh I changed to Carnivore. With a few vegetables eat organic. Never hungry. Nothing packaged or can. Time to take your life back!! Thank you for your journey. Good for you!!!
Which liver pills and what is dk2? I'm 71. Not on any meds. Been on 13 different kinds of blood pressure meds. Stop them immediately altogether when side effects showed. My b/pressure is 160/90 on and without medication!
As someone who has suffered with highblood pressure for decades, when I started the ketogenic way of eating and intermittent fasting I was able to lose 75lbs and was able to stop taking high blood pressure medication, I went from having high blood pressure to having low blood pressure pressure, one reason this works is getting off of all of the highly processed foods and sugar, junk carbs etc. I also take fish oil, and cod liver oil, another factor in controlling blood pressure is potassium levels and magnesium levels, just about everybody is deficient in both of these minerals. Also get off of the seed oils, vegetable oil, canola oil, soy oils, use coconut oil, avocado oil, whole fat butter, grass fed beef talo, lard. Seed oils, vegetable oil is highly inflammatory.
100% !! My daugher eliminated her lifelong asthma by eliminating gluten and dairy! My sis, ended Type 2 diabetes, but had to convince doc she didn't any meds now. Krill oil was my go-to to lower cholesterol, which raised HDL to over 100! In fact, my doc said 'your cholesterol is high, to which I asked about my HDL. She was surprised at the breakdown, so always ask for the breakdown, as too many docs only look at the bottom number! Ended up my cholesterol was "high" because my HDL was through the roof! Thorne is a great vitamin/supplement company... after much research, I settled on these guys because they are USA based... plus... they do third-party testing.....AND .... they do research to help clarify and advance knowledge and understanding of vitamins minerals and supplements. Even though I do believe that "food should be thy medicine" you can't count on our food supply these days! Our soils are depleted & they're full of pesticides... so our food is too!! Think about it... not just fruits and veggies... but our meat and dairy. It's ridiculous how bad it's gotten and how clueless most people are about it. But this is why you have to supplement. I do, and I am faithful about eating only whole foods... heavy protein ... veggies and fruit. There are tons of influencers out there that offer discount codes for Thorne...I personally use my military discount for 25% off Influencer examples... Most people breathe through their nose. That's natural. You don't have to be taught to do that. Well, I guess you would if you breathed through your mouth as that's not natural.
@@lyns2686 i’m not sure what the percentage is, but many various ENT run RU-vid channels point out that the majority of people breathe through their mouth.

I was 195/126bp, on a couple meds and still felt like crap. I started with a carnivore diet and fish oil, no carbs, no sugars, strictly meat and high Fat. Over meds within a month. I used to take fish oil, but saw too many videos talking about how toxic the oil can be. It's probably even rancid when you buy it. Even though my fish oil was a good one, I didn't want to be taking anything that would turn rancid, so I tossed it.

There are no short cuts I retired because of High blood Pressure the job was killing me, I started with the medication but as you age 1 pill leads to 3, 5, 7, before you know it half of your day, you're swallowing pills not I. I don't eat anything and I mean anything that has a label of ingrediency there's no label on a carrot nothing that comes in a can, or box, no bread or pasta and the only oil I use is olive oil, I do my own cooking if I eat out grilled meats and a salad, I work out three times a week and walk 10,000 steps every day in South East Asia. No more meds I take my blood pressure 3 times a day the highest reading in the last year was 128 over 77 but I started this journey in 2013 at 190 over 100 I can live with that! oh yeah there was one side effect I ended up with 37-inch waist line at 63 last time that happen I was 19.
#1 eliminate all added sugar from your diet including barbecue sauce, catsup, sodas, cereal... and don't use artificial sweeteners, learn to eat and drink unsweetened foods. #2 go as low carb as possible by reducing breads, rice, potatoes, corn... eliminate all vegetable oils except for olive oil (the real stuff which is more expensive), coconut oil, and avocado oil. Also you can use lard, beef tallow, and ghee. Stop drinking milk. Eat meat, salt, beef, chicken, fish, bacon, butter, eggs, liver. If you want eat some vegetables, some fruits may be okay in moderation. It goes without saying, but don't drink alcohol and stop smoking. You will lose weight guaranteed, your blood pressure will go down. Do consider taking high quality vitamins and minerals and fish oil. IMPORTANT - if you study this more, you’ll realize it’s the DHA component of fish oil is most important. Most products contain lower amounts. So taking large amount of oil really doesn’t give you potential benefit. The best that has high DHA naturally is calamari fish oil - fished in northern waters off Norway. The product I ended up buying is from Swanson. Hope this helps. I was originally taking Krill fish oil which is good until I learned more about importance of DHA. Fish oils also does great things to combat brain fog
Glad you figured this out and sharing with others. A physician friend told me years ago to take high EPA fish oil for arthritis. She said the higher the EPA the better. I started that and found it very helpful.
Lisinipril is horrible. I'm an RN and a lot of drs prescribe it bc it's cheap. I've had pts who get swelling in their throats and come to the emergency room with difficulty breathing.
Hello, Nathan; Thank you for posting this. Fish oil is great as long as it is REAL fish oil. Many brands of fish oil are really fake fish oil. I saw this on a website I found by accident. I tried it with the fish oil I was taking, I think it was Nature Made, I don't remember. The 'test' is cut open a capsule and put the fish oil on styrofoam and wait 15 minutes. If it is fake fish oil it will dissolve the styrofoam. The fake fish oil is called "ethyl ester", "ethyl esters", or "EE". The guy wrote that "ethyl ester" is like marine diesel & they soak fish offal (waste parts, especially of a butchered animal) in it. The recent "study" that said fish oil could cause heart attacks used "ethyl esters". So it is really important to take good supplements. The drug companies are buying up supplement companies. You already know about the drug companies. BTW, most doctors don't know to test for mineral deficiencies but potassium & magnesium deficiencies can cause high blood pressure. So you may want to get checked for those. I posted this for your viewers so I'll email you with extra info. Have a GREAT day. Neighbor!
The only brand of fish oil to buy is Nordic Naturals. It is exxxxxxxpensive but taking cheap fish oil is worse than taking no fish oil@@lansingdoesbusiness9356 Yes!!!
This is where it becomes difficult, it’s like all the videos out there recommending olive oil , then a closer look leaves you realising so much of it out there is not authentic in the west
Look at Dr Eric Berg on youtube. One thing he suggests is potassium. Sugar problems will jack up blood pressure but I don't think fish oil would bring it down much. Sugar is longer acting. Losing weight and getting that fat off the liver is key for sugar problems.
My blood pressure after losing 17 lbs. shot up to 213 over 100. Super stressful family situation and I have to admit to having a few drinks in the evening. Still on the meds, just amlodipine but I hate being dependent on it. I've quit drinking after finding out that having a cocktail while on BP meds can make someone pass out. Cardiologist checked me out after that and said that I looked ok. Asked about getting off the meds and he said as one gets older, it becomes more difficult. So at 65 and coming up on a year of this stuff, sleep issues, weight gain, and feeling as if in a fog, I don't have much hope.

The reason fish oil helped you is because it's known for its reducing inflammation property. Your body is inflamed from the inside because of you being overweight and you need to address the root cause. Other than that you need to incorporate movement in your daily habits, which means to go on a walk for at least 40-60 minutes every day. Taking minerals like Magnesium and Potassium can also help. I switched from Magnesium Glycinate to Magnesium Citrate and it seems to suit me better, but everyone is different.
You could also eat fish 3-4 times a week. Salmon or another fish that is high in Omega 3. That would be your best source of and more bioavailable for your body because it is food.
Good Video Nathan. I have a similar story. Although I did not go on the Doctors meds from the beginning. My blood pressure in his office was 170/100. I had taken my pressure prior to my appointment, and it was 132/68. This has happened a few times to me. So I supplement with magnesium orotate 1000mg daily. My pressure has been stable ever since. This was 6 years running. Good luck to you.
My "doctor" had her nurse take my blood pressure on a machine, and it read 170/100. I almost fell sideways because I had taken my pressure earlier that morning, and it was 128/80! I was there for kidney related urine tests, which came back slightly below normal that same visit. The doctor was desperately trying to get me to take other tests for totally unrelated issues, and I refused. She told me, "Well ignorance is bliss!" What a quack! Then she left the room and her nurse returned with a manual blood pressure cuff and stethoscope, took my pressure, and I had to ask her what the reading was as she was leaving the room. It was 125/78. Needless to say, that was my LAST visit with Dr. PickPocket! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH NEW DOCTORS THAT HOOK YOU UP TO MACHINES AND BLOW YOUR MIND WITH EXAGGERATED RESULTS!!! 🧐🤑🤑
Hi. thanks for making the video. I agree with a lot of your commenters. My 62 year old partner now has high blood pressure. He is lean, exercises and always has, eats a very clean diet but he has sleep apnea and uses the machine faithfully. His dad had several heart attacks and I think the combo of bad genes and sleep apnea creates high blood pressure. He takes fish oil but I will increase the dose and see what happens.
@@lorismider9642 Add hibiscus flower tea (can be bought at a health store or on-line) is great and Moringa powder. Also aged garlic capsules, which helped my mother a lot with bp and she was obese.
Things to ponder; an imbalance in electrolytes - sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, can be the cause of high blood pressure. A diet that is too high in sodium, a diet that is very low in potassium intake, a stressful life, over working, over exercising, over drinking are all reasons why there may be too much of one thing or not enough of another. Electrolytes can be lost through sweat, urine, diarrhea, and vomit.

Definitely appreciate the feedback, I’m definitely going to talk to my Dr and see about this option. And to anyone who reads this and is a CBD user and takes beta blockers for there blood pressure be very careful. I look forward to it!! Fish oil huh. I’m gonna start retaking mine. Working nights wreaks havoc! In return in a small way, I started running with 540RAT Engineering blog’s best wear protecting oils and that’s Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W30 (not Ultimate protection/must be 5W30) for all modern properly running liquid cooled gasoline engines. For conventional automatics, it’s Mobil1 Synthetic ATF Multi Vehicle (silver bottle/black label). The QSFS is $22.97 at my Walmart or Amazon. The M1ATF is $10qt at Amazon (6 pack) or $6/qt at Autozone as they’re on perpetual clearance. Just search online for in stock location, then remind the staff that’s it’s hidden behind the counter or out back lol. I switched from Maxlife because 540RAT tested these new thinner ATFs, Maxlife included and they tested as failure everytime. Yes ATF is multifaceted, but metal to metal it doesn’t do well. I have run the M1 sofar in Toyota, Lexus new and old and Acura ZF with great results thus far. Cheers
Nathan thanks for putting yourself out there and sharing all the information you’ve discovered. There’s a way back, I know it, I just need to find it. If anyone has any input, please let me know. Nathan, thanks for putting the brand name and source because as you well know it’s tough to know what brand works. Keep posting Nathan, keep us informed! Thank you for sharing your experience in this video. Its all an Inflammation game. In addition to adding good oils like Fish Oil, Flax Oil and Olive Oil. Avoid all seed and vegetable oils that all cause inflammation which then causes clogged arteries. People think your arteries get clogged with fat when you eat butter or meat but its really mostly seed oils that infame the arteries over and again causing a build up as your body tries to repair your artery and blood vessel walls. .
Thanks for the video and sincere and honest review. Sometimes the simplest approach and ingredients work best . Glad to hear you’re getting a handle on it.
Just came across this video and am definitely going to try this! I just turned 59 and have been on Valsartan for 2 years and hate the side effects, neck pain, brain fog, dizziness. My BP has come down with the diet change , carnivore/ketovore, and exercise, but not enough to be able to stop the medication. So I am going to try the fish oil and see if that works for me! I do know that I have to wean off the medication, can't just stop cold turkey, so will be careful. Thank you for the info!
Thank you, will give it a try. I also have gone through the issues that you went though. Just to add a small tip, excersie like biking or jogging for me brings the top number down by 20-30 points, just a 30 minutes a day. But basically any kind of excersice that you are able to do will help.
