Hopefully not as a Titan-class figure, otherwise he won't be able to be used by Armada Megatron as armor. Plus Tidalwave wasn't THAT big. He should be "Commander" (Super) class or maybe Supreme-class if they choose to bring that size back.
@@mrsamaritan6881 Maybe Hasbro could split the difference. 1 larger scale Tidalwave and 1 downscaled Voyager/Leader to imitate his notorious mass-shifting in the show. One could be “show accurate” and the other “toy accurate” color schemes.
I remember seeing the original cybertron metroplex as a kid, and being disappointed that he was only a little bit bigger than prime. It's nice to get the definitive size years later
the figure is meant to interact with Minicons as his original Galaxy Force/Cybertron came with his Minicon partner named Drill Bit who "pilots" him in his vehicle mode.
True, but the best part to me is that Energon Omega Supreme along with Animated and the War for Cybertron video game versions to me are alot cooler than G1 as well XD
What’s crazy is the vehicle he’s supposed to be transformed is the largest man made vehicle on earth. Which means he should be far more massive than he is in the show
I always know Metroplex in the Transformers Cybertron series that his Excavator Mode resembles giant bucket wheel excavator or he welds a Sparkdrinker in his Robot Mode. Also in the Legacy version includes his upgrade kits from both Robot Mode or Excavator Mode and his Worker Mode has a bucket claw for his right hand or a bucket wheel for his left hand and his head has a battle mask stronger than his Robot Mode with a Sparkdrinker to destroy the Decepticons.
On the front of the closed packaging box has the artwork of Metroplex destroying the Decepticons with his Sparkdrinker that he has three different modes instead of two and an upgrade kit from his body especially his new hands and including a Minicon but he lacks a Cyber Key gimmick from his Sparkdrinker but it can actually split into twos like a excavating bucket claw and a spinning bucket wheel that are each include handlebars.
Damn, Amazon being lazy & just applying labels to the existing box is such a drag. My buddy does the packaging there & she says the workers typically do it when they get too many orders in & can't cope with the influx (or they don't have enough bigger boxes to wrap it in). Make an official complaint & you should get some degree of a refund, dude
I'm quite surprised he was able to shoot this massive review since he mentioned he was sick on Twitter recently. Anyhoo, Great job on shooting such a massive toy! I hope Jhiaxus is coming soon.
By sheer coincidence the pegs on the bucket are in the right place to fit in Siege Galaxy Prime’s forearm and hand without the gauntlet, he’s not strong enough to properly hold it like he did in the show though
Awesome Review! this figure is impressive, can only hope that those tight rachets will be used in other figures to combat the floppiness we see too often.
Great video Balt, but with all those ratchets and the force needed to transform the figure, is this really a kid’s toy? I don’t think a child is going to want spend energy on transforming a toy, just to have no energy to play with it.
He is a big heavy guy and probably has all those ratchets to keep him steady, although some of the ratchets are a bit too much. This is probably why this guy is rated for ages 15+.
I'd rather og metropoles but man I really like this mold. I was a fan of Cybertron series so that probably helps. Amazon's tape job wouldve given me a heart attack since I'm a stickler for proper packaged product. Great review btw. I binge your beast wars vids from time to time. Stay well balmatrix.
Looking at the original toy (On TF wiki) and your review maybe they intended to give him a Minicon partner to clip on the top of the digger. Like the original, but for whatever reason it got cut, or they are going to release it as a Core class. They did release Slammer in Wave 5 of Kingdom who is compatible with original Metroplex. Great video, lots of interesting information, and you've changed my mind from no way to on the fence.
Eh, I'm not mad at this ver. of Metroplex even though I kinda wanted Tidal Wave or the Jungle Planet characters in the line instead but wow I'm still kinda suprised that the Geewunners that only care for the overrated G1 city robot Metroplex when Robot Base from Diaclone came first before him.
Good video review. I have never owned a Metroplex figure, so which version is best Legacy or the Thrilling 30 Generations? Just curious about the price between the two figures along with pros and cons involved. Sorry for any confusion.
What's the "weapon" called, because i have figure, but not the claw and other part. I also think I'm missing the part that connects them to the construction alt mode
In my school vr game Cybertron metroplex is a boss where he is the first autobot casualty to die to decepticon calamity beast goalius and has the most badass take down goalius blocked it bucket weapon and then left it up and used it against him and fyi Goalius is 25 feet 11 inches Cybertron metroplex boss is 500 feet 11 inches
Good UT figures? HECK YES! Also, I am really happy about the connectors in the knees: imagine connecting this big boi with Ironworks & Co to create a giant industrial complex! Btw, I don't think that the ports on his bucket/shovel are for remolding purposes, I think it's more for the whole gimmic of the energon weapons pegging everywhere.
Would've said the same but couldn't because in other videos related to this Metroplex, there were complaints about the character because to them it's not like that overrated Geewun citybot incarnation of him. It's like the G1 community acts like Diaclone and Microman don't exist anymore since those 2 previous lines came before Transformers.
@@kinnikuman-devilman_fan_2002 I also love how, when this toy was announced all the geewuners went "It will obvously be the cybertronian form of G1 Metroplex!"... .... ... Dude... titans exist ONLY in cybertronian form... Talk about being in denial...
I would have loved this as a child. Although I wouldn't have as Metroplex. I grew up on the original Metroplex from the G1 series. So he would have been my Metroplex.
I find it surprising your wrist connectors were so tight. I know Emgo had the opposite problem. I say this because it always seems like you sadly get the loose stuff I will say it's a shame I like this, as I have the original and would get this, but I literally have no room for another titan
Legacy Metroplex isn't my Metroplex being a Generation One kid, but I have this figure on the way along with Shockwave Lab's add on kit. The bot mode is great, the alt-mode, eh him being the proctologist position leaves little to be desired. But, if this does well enough hopefully it'll lead to a Titan Class Tidalwave from Armada.
Amazon did that when I bought the Kyuranger bot. They didn't even put tape. Just slapped a label on it. Called them out on it and they sent another one
Personally, I'm glad I have the original Cybertron Metroplex. I have a soft spot for the original Unicron Trilogy. Since the retooled versions of the Cybertron toys have no cyber planet keys, I will not be getting them.
It looks like amazon shipping this guy like this not sure if its all over the world only seen us buyers could be different in other country's amazing figure wish I could get one
I honestly can’t wait for my Metroplex to arrive along with Legacy Override so I can pose them with the Siege leader Galaxy Upgrade Optimus. I grew up watching Cybertron and I still own the original Optimus Prime and Supreme Starscream figures, though I lost all their Cyber Keys
Missed that the bottoms of the scoops open and the minicon ports on the shoulders of the brute mode. Also in the full bot mode the crotch plate moves to allow more leg movement front to back.
@@kinnikuman-devilman_fan_2002 the original minicon will plug on just fine. but i'm hoping for an upgrade to the buzz saw so you can have the planet key gimmick
I just love this alt mode so much more than a base. No offense to people that like base modes but even a kinda lumpy excavator like this imo is so much better.
Mine dose the same thing with the abdominal section. It’s honestly very annoying as metroplex will bend over when holding his weapon. I hope we get an upgrade kit to fix it.
Not as much annoying and depressing as the other videos related to this Metroplex complaining about him not being like that stupid overrated city robot in G1. the Fall of Cybertron was the only good thing about Metroplex.
I freaking love this figure. I always wanted the original, but that one is awesome. This may be just me, but I really hope they also bring back cybertron menasor, omega supreme, and scorponok (or was that energon scorponok) because I love their alt-modes so much. Anyway great review, I really hope I can get my hands on this figure.
I have not reviewed the Ark, Scorponok or Trypticon. The Ark will be reviewed soon, and Scorpy is still on deck. I need to by a new Trypticon first cause my be broken.
Great review, really good figure, but i am not enough into Galaxy Force/Cybertron to spend money on this. A Nemesis would be great, but i do not like the Ark so i probably won't like that either. The problem is that Hasbro should just have made it into a playset and not a robot.
Seems a small thing to gave a Cyber Planet key accessory for Metroplex to hold. Not asking for the gimmick, just the translucent purple and gold key. Drill Bit should be a legacy core class Figure.
I think he said he doesn’t have access to the original Cybertron Metroplex, while he has the Generations Titan-class Cityformer Metroplex behind him. Which makes sense, because as an owner of the latter it is indeed kinda floppy at times.
ok.... so on the og figure the weapon is where his partner minicon is at so....to see him without it is semi jarring but overall a near full fathfull remaster
I like they're bringing back character variants from Armada and Cybertron, even though I thought the Unicron trilogy technically was a single universe but eh, and Metroplex makes sense for an autobot heavy hitter for this new series. That said if a Nemesis ship character does come out I hope it would be either based on the G1 or Fall of Cybertron game version. I know that collector figure of it came out and looks like the latter but I prefer if it was a single big ship than two and affordable like the Ark.
