I just relized a different meaning to Optimus saying "Give me your face". Fallen's face was designed to resemble the decepticon logo, and even his tomb from ROTF prequel comic looks like one. Knowing that, the scene of Prime tearing it off makes more sense, as if Optimus tries to pull out the root of all Cybertron's problems at once. Well, that doesn't fix the scene of one robot skinning another alive, but at least it's something.

Optimus Prime in the first movie was holding back. Megatron said to Optimus that he fights for the weak which is why he loses. Also Megatron was the big bad villain of the first Transformers movie, so they had to make Megatron look good against Optimus Prime. In the second movie, in the forest where there are no civilians other than Sam, he can get serious and in the fight, he simply decimated Megatron no difficulty and even while tired, he can beat up Starscream and another deception whose much bigger than him and Megatron whose just as strong if not more from the first movie since Megatron was resurrected by an energized shard leftover from the cube. So if anything Megatron did not get weaker. That just doesn’t make any sense since Megatron is and always is the strongest of the Decepticons besides The Fallen. The Fallen is also a prime who didn’t fear his brothers and faired better against Optimus Prime fused with Jetfire than Megatron did even if it was a few minutes.

@@jeremykennedy236 Such a biased comment , it is confirmed that Megatron got weaker after the first movie , reason is this : His leg and arm were chopped off after he got killed by the all spark and he also got a ton of rocket in his face by the humans , in short he got heavily damaged , when he got ressurected they used low tier parts to repair him which resulted in him being weaker , main reason why Optimus was able to fight against him in the forest and main reason why he beat Megatron easily at the end of the movie too where he got even more injured , that is why he was beaten even more easily in the 3rd movie , for a good comparison he pinned down Optimus at the end of the 5th movie in his new body with 1 arm , several autobot could not kill or even damage him in a 1 vs all fight and he only lost his arm by a snake attack by Optimus , it is pretty clear that he got weaker from the first movie and when he got a new complete body he was stronger than Optimus again

@@davidkosiba624 No it isn't. You're lying because it is never addressed in the movie or by the directors or writers. Get that outta here. Megatron is just as strong because after he is revived, he flies to The Fallen and Starscream and he is just as intimidating as he was the first movie. Megatron beat the shit out of Starscream for leaving him to die and take command of the Decepticons and he has both his legs and arms. Neither Starscream, Megatron, or The Fallen say he is weaker after resurrection. The only reason Optimus Prime did not win is because people were there and Megatron literally says he fights for the weak which is why he loses. Next movie they're in a forest and Optimus destroys him and 3 other Decepticons. So Megatron getting weaker is wrong. Also even if he was heavily damaged(obviously isn't since he can talk and move just fine post resurrection)u think the most ruthless decepticon Megatron would risk confronting Optimus Prime and the Autobots while not 100%? That doesn't make sense. In the 4th movie, when he came back as Galvatron, sure he was difficult to kill because of the immense heat in his chest that prevented Optimus from impaling him with the sword but later on Optimus Prime manhandled him and he had to be saved by Lockdown so Galvatron is not as strong or as skilled as Optimus. In the final movie, he was upgraded so he is stronger and Optimus took his arm off and kicked him into space. A lot of people keep defending this idea of Megatron being weaker but it is never mentioned, he retains the same strength or gets stronger over time and he still can't beat Optimus Prime.

@@WeweGombelXD last time I checked, Sentinel Prime in the movies and comics was the teacher of Optimus and Optimus even bowed before him giving him the matrix of leadership but Sentinel declined. Sure Optimus is among the shittiest of Primes, but Megatron is fodder who worked for The Fallen whose also a prime. The Fallen states only Primes can rival or defeat him.

@@jeremykennedy236 A movie or characters do not have to say outright that a character got weaker for it to be so. Also a slightly weaker Megatron is still the second strongest decipticon next to the fallen. While yes Optimus was holding back in the first film, the biggest proof Megatron was weaker in ROTF even if just slightly is from the impact of Optimus's cannon. In the first movie, when Optimus shot Megatron, Megatron just staggered a bit and then counter attacked with his own cannon. In ROTF in the warehouse, Optimus shot Megatron with his same cannon and it sent Megatron flying through the wall and sent him outside. Both times Megatron was shot in the chest in almost the same spot with the same size explosion, but the ROTF shot clearly did more damage. Plus his arms are clearly different sizes in ROTF than in the first movie.

If Jetfire states only a Prime can defeat The Fallen, then this would actually meake sense in the film & therefore it is not an error.

granted I wasn't crazy about the whole murderous persona Optimus emitted here but it was pleasing to see punch through the Fallen taking the guy's spark out with it and crushing it. what I loved more is that reversal Optimus performed with the staff bending to literally take the guy's face. too satisfying! say what you will about the Bayverse 1-3 movies. they were pretty good. more cohesive storywise than whatever the last 2 tried to do. only thing I hated about the Bayverse was Sam. get Sam out of there movies would've been 10x better.

Usually Optimus always gave some people hope, speeches that chilled to the bone, but when he fights, his actions are nothing to his positive speeches coz when he fights he's a savage HAHA sprouting words that you wouldn't expect.

Hm. I finally understood, why it can seem a bit off that OP is more ruthless in movies. When you see character, who rips off faces, split heads and so on, and yet saying stuff that calmly... Well, maybe that can disturb one a bit. P.S.: no offense to Peter Cullen, it's not his fault (if it *is* fault).

It is so annoying how much these movies focus on the human characters. During this scene where Jetfire dies and Optimus gets upgraded with his parts, it cuts to Sam for absolutely no reason, other than to remind the audience that he’s still there. Seriously! This scene has nothing to do with Sam, yet we cut to him twice, completely interrupting Optimus Prime during HIS power up scene TWICE!!!
