I can’t stand people like this, ruining everything Just look at the bright side of things instead of ranting behind the computer, depression is a true plague
I've noticed that this Megatron's character is quite different than the other live action Megatrons, his motivation isn't that he wants to take over, or wants to destroy Earth. He just wants to save his planet, no matter the cost. It's much more in line with his character in Cyberverse and Earthrise
It’s more on the IDW comic run of transformers with he wasn’t “bad”. Before decepticons the way cybertronians society work is new cybertronians if born/made with the mark of primus (autobot symbol) they were deemed to be appointed important society jobs. Those without it were mainly lower/heavy labor class. Megatron was a miner before a gladiator or leader of the decepticons. His view is he wants to save cybertron and for cybertronians to be free by killing off anyone with the mark of primus hence the autobots with how corrupted their society was thousands of years ago and blames the state of cybertron on them even though megatron and his group were also at fault on what happened to their planet. Constant wars with back then his friend Orion pax when he became Optimus prime he wanted to establish peace but megatron twisted views of things peace would never happen.
Even tho he barely did any to nothing that reeks treacherous in the past. It's like this film is like "oh yeah starscream was treacherous in the grand lore, screw it just add that line to please the fans." Great line for a megatron but not this megatron sadly.
@@razagan1343 It’s not just the complexity of the designs. It’s the lighting, the reflections, the shadows, the particles, the compositing, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera… CGI is extremely complex, expensive, and time consuming no matter what you’re doing. The only reason the first Iron Man movie was even greenlit was because of the positive reception to the first trailer for Transformers in 2006, because up until then no one really knew if the technology to make a realistic looking Iron Man suit even *existed*.
@@kalb157 I know there goes a lot more into it and I am not disagreeing on any of your points. but the absolute ridicules amount of moving parts did not make the job any easier. Also I feel apart from a few cool shots it did not even help the designs in a cool way. it screws too much with there first imprecision and way to recognize during the fights without having to keep track all the time
This version of Megatron is my favorite not only because of his design but because of his very different personality. He's no longer vengeful and unreasonable, he learned that being like that will get him nowhere. Now he's just tired and wants to go home, and will do things as safely as he can to achieve that, even bargain with humans.
He's finally not a boring villain he has a personality a character any of his lines got me more interested then anything he said in the first Three movies
One major thing that ticked me off was Megatron negotiating for his crew back. He would NEVER compromise. Instead he'd go to the base, demand his crew back (ALL OF THEM), and if they refused, he'd tear the place apart single handedly and take them by force. Actually no, he wouldn't demand them. He'd just show up and tear through the place without saying a word to the humans and make sure no human was left alive, then take all of his crew back
@@puffpuffpassmako I know by books and shows, he’s the full package, but they nerfed the fuck outta him after transformers one. they did little justice for him in transformers 5 when it took all autobots to slow him down
@@g.koch. I hate that too but his death was the worst. He took on ratchet and Ironhide with ease then in the 3rd one which he is probably equal to Optimus prime in skill. He gets boomed by Sam.
@@danklockdown9757 yeah but of course megatron is, he's the main decepticon, barricade has been a constant background charecter, there from the beginning
This should have been Galvatron, geining his new form after making contact with Unicron's horns. Megatron/Galvatron shouldn't have been in AoE at all. Lockdown fills his niche quite well.
1:31 You know regardless of the quality of the movie(s) I actually like this scene a lot, since it does give more depth to the relationship between Megatron and Starscream. Megatron doesn’t mock Starscream or gloat about how Starscream’s cowardice didn’t end up saving him, instead he just mourns the fact that he wasn’t there with him to see it all end, even calling him an old friend..albeit a treacherous one.
I have to say I really like this Megatron design, I like how they gave him his massive arm cannon on his arm it really gives a homage to the G1 Megatron
this is what Michael Bay failed terribly in his movies, there is only the same plot over and over again TF: cube ROTF:allspark DOTM: pillars AOE: seed TLK: talisman/staff
1:31 The fact that even though he disrespected starscream and treated him like garbage. Yet he still calls him an old friend after he looks at his head , shows that megatron isnt fully cold hearted and I love that.
It's more 3motional when you realized megatron literally held the blade in optimus throat. He could have killed him right there, but he hesitated and reminded their long gone brotherhood
In transformers lore, him and Optimus were as close as brothers at one point. Optimus became a follower of megaton and his movement on cybertron and megaton even served as a mentor to Optimus at one point.
Yup this is still my least Transformers movie from all 6 live action Transformers movies. Before The Last Knight, Revenge Of The Fallen was always my least Transformers movie. Until this movie came in and it's officialy became my least Transformers movie of all time.
I love how Megatron actually fighting and not getting completely destroyed by Optimus its actually taking multiple autobots to fight him like it should be. I also find it nice that Megatron cares for his home planet and would do anything to save it.
Megatron is one of the few things that is actuallu good about The Last Knight. His design, personality, not to mention Frank Welker finally to reprise his role in a Live Action Transformers movie is freaking awesome.
I agree. This design harkens strongly to his G1 form. GOD I wished this movie wasn't a bloated mess. Should have just focused on Megatron alliance with the TRF to take down the Autobots while in secret he works with Quintessa, but in true villain fashion, he plans to backstab them both and use the staff for himself. Honestly, the Decepticon crew should have been a ressurrected Shockwave, Starscream together with Onslaught, Scalpel with new form and Dreadbot without those silly tattoes. Shockwave could be a dark purple pickup SUV and Screamer taking over Nitro Zeus body with some tweaks. Scalpel using the remnants of the KSI transfornium tech from AOE to bring the two G1 classic Decepticons back to life.
@@Imperialistic82 Agreed I wish he was alot better in this movie. Because in this movie, this version not only he looks badass, but he is actually very strong. I mean really strong especially in The Final Battle in The Chamber, he managed to not one, not two, not even three but four Autobots by himself with a help from Nitro Zeus but still, he was tough dude. He able to take damage by Hounds machine guns with Hot Rod Time Gun, swat Bumblebee like a bug, survived and still able to fight back after his right arm get sliced off by Optimus Prime and able to pin him down with his Prime sword with one freaking hand. I MEAN THIS MEGATRON IS A BEAST MAN. Sure he get kicked out by Optimus but he didn't die. Because keep in mind, this version of Megatron also can fly in his robot mode without transform into his jet mode.
@@afzalhakimbinzairini956 You're right again, Megatron was surely a powerhouse! As much as I despise TLK, I do hope we get a final sequel to it by Bay or another director like F&F Justin Lin. I want to see that Megatron again and you know what, the sequel should change Optimus design to his evasion mode with G1 color. With TLK Megatron and Evasion G1 Optimus, we can for one last time have the showdown between the leaders of the Autobots and Decepticons. They can battle it out with no wins until Unicron arrives and they work together to fight him.
@@Imperialistic82 Trust me among all the Bayformers movies I can rewatched when it comes to sequels, The Last Knight I visit the least and for good reason. I rewatched on Netflix and Oh God, it took me three or four days to finish because how boring it is. Look I have to make it clear that I'm a die hard Live Action Transformers movie fan and really excited for the new Rise Of The Beasts. I now these movies has flawed but I can find some enjoyment out of them. But The Last Knight I can easily is the worst in the franchise. Here is hoping Rise Of The Beasts being an awesome movie and won't follow the same mistakes as The Last Knight.
@@afzalhakimbinzairini956 Like you, I enjoyed all Bay's movies except TLK. Sure I have problems with them, but the positives outweights the negatives. I hope ROTB is a success but I still want TLK to have a final sequel to finish the Creators trilogy.
I understand that this is mostly a pg 13 or 14 movie but there was nothing stopping megatron from just shooting the shit out of that little girl in that empty town, just boom done
What I’ve always loved about Megatron is that his “crew” (or army) is extremely diverse and full of different personalities. And while he uses force to get them in line and do what needs to be done according to the task at hand, he never suppresses their preferences and styles. It might be all you can do when marketing different toys, but it’s still nice to see it this way in lore and adaptations.
This movie may suck shit but deeym this megatron look soooo sick. I'm also glad they got Frank Welker to do megatron in this, but damn i miss Hugo's voice acting for megatron.
@@jivan5843He was gonna voice megatron in the first live action movie but Michael Bay thought a cartoony voice wouldn’t fit him, so he had to be replaced by Hugo Weaving. But Frank still voice 2007 megatron in games, and on the ride and in the 4th and 5th films
@@notofthisgod32 I Absolutely Agree Michael Bay not allowing Frank Welker to Voice Megatron in all of The Transformers Live Action Movies was a Huge Miss Opportunity. I’m Hoping when Megatron Appears In The Transformers Rebooted Films that The Creators Of These Reboot Live Action Transformers Film Get Frank Welker instead of Someone Else To Voice Megatron.
Who else here loves to see Megatron finally being strong again? He just got his arm chopped off and nearly kill Optimus using his own sword almost immediately
This is how Megatron should've looked in the 2007 film: If Optimus looked like he did in the Bumblebee movie, and Megatron like this, that would be amazing
This is the best designed Megatron. It resembles his original G1 design with his hand cannon and vaguely his face mask but it also has Frank Welker giving a pretty scary version of the voice (a combination of Hugo Weavings and the old G1). Kinda wish we got more.
I wished we got more of the plot about Unicron, they shown a little bit of Unicron during the post credits, but it never went further into it then just that so I hope later in the future they return to this
2:50 It still bothers me that Megatron didn’t decide to kill Optimus Prime there. He had no reason to let him live, and he wasn’t going to watch the Knights execute Prime anyway, so why not kill him now?
1:31 you can tell regardless of the physical abuse Megatron inflicted on Starscream they both respected each other in Bayverse which was a nice change from the whole Starscream wanting to be leader and just miserably failing to kill Megatron
Anyone notice Megatron's transformation sound "tink tink tink" has been the same for all the movies since the first TF movie. Dope and Frank Welker is originally MEGATRON! He did the most voices from g1, to prime to the last two films and some games which is dope
4:12 idk why but this scene just is funny to be. Maybe it's the sound of the cannon being so loud after he said that but he put everything into that shot lol
@@walking_hel3085 theres like always something that can bring back cybertron lol. oh we need the all spark. nvm its destroyed, but we got the matrix, nvm now thats destroyed and repeat.
Najwan Syahmi Bin Nazri Mawi he was not a constructicon in Michael Bay’s series he got replaced with Rampage for Devastator but back in g1 Rampage is a predacon
He looked so fucking good in this movie. I honestly miss the days Megatron being present was scary. Make him the main villain again. And no more humans for fuck's sake. I did want a legitimate team up with optimus against someone though. Then they both head home to rebuild. Both of them calling each other brothers means more than just a line in the script for me.
If you’re wondering why Megatron is back to his old name in “The Last Knight” after being Galvatron in “Age of Extinction”, it’s because Quintessa restored him to his original form between the two movies. This is also the first time that Frank Welker reprised his role as Megatron in a live action movie, as originally intended (and will likely do so in future movies). Instead of Welker, Hugo Weaving played the voice of Megatron in the first three of Michael Bay’s Transformers movies.
This was megatrons best look tbh after the first movie they should’ve introduced galvatron in the second then have the autobots defeat him and in the third they could’ve had megatron and optimus team up to kill unicron
To me it shows that megatron doesnt want to fight with optimus anymore, like at the end of tf3 and in the end of tfp, he seems to be beyond his old motivation for power and now he just thinks in a future for cybertron and the whole cybertronian race, thats why he speaks to optimus like "stop acting like a psycho for 1 second and help me rebuild our planet, the war is over", thats character development right there
@@Chris-rj6vh i know that michael bay writting skills are complete bs but anyway you can fly between those regular ideas and make something good with them
His new Design,The way he walked, his new face,And especially his new voice,All of that makes me satisfied. If I died and I got reincarnated, I will choose a form like Megatron in this film
1:31 Frank welker/Megatron/Galvatron: "the end is near, my old traitorous friend." "What a shame, you'll be able to see it." *growlers* *growling* "we were brothers once!" 5:47 Peter Cullen/optimus/Nemesis Prime/Orion pax: *growling/growls* "once?" *grunts/yells*
One of my all time favourite Megatrons. And it's refreshing to hear Frank Welker as the voice. Yeah, I kinda wish he did more/had a bit more screen time, but overall, probably my number 1 fav, if not second after TFP.
I think one of the few good things about this movie is that they actually made Megatron to be a lot stronger and durable, cuz on Transformers 2 and 3 all they need to destroy like half of Megatron's face are literally just a couple of Tank rounds
Not only that Megatron is one of the strongest positive highlights in TLK, but he’s also the best and badass appearance of the character in all the five films he appears in
