If anyone needs the location of the Input speed sensor its on the right side, He unplugs the sensor at @8:06 . Follow the wires up a bit and you'll see the sensor. It bolts up on the outside and the wires go into the trans.

The Input speed sensor its on the right side, He unplugs the sensor at @8:06 . Follow the wires up a bit and you'll see the sensor. It bolts up on the outside and the wires go into the trans. I hope you don't need this info anymore but here it is.

2013 chevy spark the same? i cant find the internal speed sensor only the one sticking outside on top of trans

This problem happened to my car.the check computer tells two problems.the output sensor is bad also the slice of gear is bad.because they are in connect with each other.according to the mechanics advise to change the sensor first which is very cheap .I changed it and the problem gone So be careful.

Happened to me too, after you replace the sensor and you begin putting the aluminum part back in, there is a pin on the top left part that aligns in a groove of a metal piece that goes side to side into the aluminum piece. There is a another video on youtube that will show you.

Sir, i have a chevrolet cruze model 2012 when i changed the output speed sensor and transmission fluid. When i fixed back all components, my car did shift gare, and neither R nor D its cant move

Why are you changing the output speed sensor? What are the symptoms and what codes are you getting if any? My cruz at times was shifting a little late and unpredictable it wouldn't start after fill ups. Easy fix of a bad purge valve again thanks for the help! Then cooling issues replaced whole thermostat housing had leaking issues from water pump tube even with OEM o-ring. Had to use a quad seal. Had same problem then replaced temp sensor in radiator. Car set for a couple weeks as I found the time to repair it. Test drive the shifting was worse then ever it started warming up less then two miles and wouldn't engage barely move the car at all. Also some kind of anti roll back device not allowed it to be pushed or towed backwards? Draged backwards out of a farmers culvert. With engine running in reverse or without engine on in neutral. Tires skidding the whole way. I would like to also know how to push or tow backwards for a short distance? Towed with engine running in dive the car would jerk and try to engage with no success for the short tow home. After watching more of your videos that I believe are the best for the Cruz's! I ordered the shift solenoid pack. Hoping everything else on the transmission will be okay, but now I see the speed output sensor and would like to know more about it since I will be so close to it when I change them. Also when I was doing the coolant work I noticed two of the boats on the transaxle to the engine was loose which leads me to believe someone put a new Trans axle on motor in this car and probably didn't do a high quality job. Any suggestions it's a base model Chevy Cruze I kind of like it because the parts are cheap and it's fairly easy to work on for a newer model car. For $2500 I would like to keep it for a work car. But it's getting very frustrating with one thing after another. And by the way I do love you videos.

My 2009 chevy malibu shifts into gears but wont shift from 1st and up.... also speedometer stopped working same time. Should It be this sensor has failed?

I think there usually on the side coming out the transmission held on with one bolt it looks like a temperature sensor i belive

I have a 2012 Sonic - it goes for about 6 blocks & then won't shift or go. Turn off engine, 30 seconds later, turn back on, goes another 6 blocks..... Does this sound like a speed sensor or something else?
